Now a Top 10 Romance and USA Today Bestselling novel!
A kinky Prime Minister, a vanilla intern, and a scandal that shouldn’t feel so right or cost so much.Gavin:Ellie Montague is smart, sensitive, and so gorgeous it hurts to look at her. She’s also an intern in my office. The office of the Prime Minister of Canada. That’s me. The PM.She calls me that because when she calls me Sir, I get hard and … The PM.
She calls me that because when she calls me Sir, I get hard and she gets flustered, and as long as she’s my intern, I can’t twist my hands in her strawberry-blonde hair and show her what else I’d like her to do with that pretty pink mouth.
Ellie:
How much I like the PM varies on a daily basis. He’s intense, controlling, and a perfectionist in every way—and he demands the same of his staff.
How much I want him never wavers.
There’s something about him that tugs at me deep inside, and makes me wish that just once he’d cross the line in a late night work session. I’d take that secret to the grave if it meant I got a taste of the barely restrained beast inside him.
FOOTNOTES:
* This is a fictional erotic romance. No prime ministers or interns were harmed in the making of this book.
Except it’s a BDSM romance, so they were hurt a little.
*** Spoiler alert: she gets more than a taste. And she likes it.

OMG, this whole series is a mix of amazing and funny and just the right amount of snark and heat. Love it!
This whole series is a total win for me, and has made it into my must-read keeper pile. LOVED Gavin and Ellie. The snappy dialogue, the realistic BDSM–I read it in one sitting, and was so glad I could dive immediately into the next one! Start with Retrosexual, the prequel. Political romances are now my absolute addiction, and since this is book 1 in the series you can avoid a book hangover by diving into Dr. Bad Boy, book 2 in the series, right away. (And then book 3, and then book 4…)
Some of the most difficult reviews I have to write are those where the MCs capture my heart and don’t let go. Ellie Montague and Gavin Strong are two such people #mypeople 🙂 They’re difficult because I feel my words are inadequate in conveying my love for them. Not just their journey, but them as individuals.
Ellie Montague is innocent yet curious. She’s assertive yet shy. She’s beautiful, intelligent, sexy and a risk taker. She’s a woman who knows what she wants and boldly goes after it. And she wants Gavin Strong.
Gavin Strong is a man of power. He’s the Prime Minister of Canada. He’s handsome and intelligent with an easy going personality all wrapped up in a kinky package! He’s intense and dominant but he has one kryptonite … Ellie Montague.
I pull my head back and look deep into her eyes. I’m so lost. I don’t know how I got here, and I have no interest in finding my way back to wherever it is I was.
Those words are the most accurate in describing the utter feeling of contentment and just plain happiness I felt while reading Gavin & Ellie’s journey. I too was lost in the words. The story sucked me in from page one and I couldn’t get enough. I didn’t want it to end. I just wanted more …
While I’ve read all of Ainsley Booth’s work and know her unique sensual voice, this was my first experience with Sadie Haller. I am SO impressed with these two women. Their words were seamless. Where one stops and the other writes, I could not tell you. They are a phenomenal team. There is no aspect of this book that is lacking. The characterizations are spot on and remained on point throughout the entire story. No part of the story came out of left field. Everything had a meaning. Everything had a purpose. #flawless
This is a story of two people from two worlds dancing around each other under the watchful eye of one world. It’s sexy and sensual and smooth and easy going with laughter and warmth and lots of sexy sexy. It’s a happy story that will put a smile on your face and fill your heart with high-spirited joy!
I cannot recommend this story to you highly enough! #TRUTH
First… I’m Canadian. And if you don’t think this book is a bit of Justin Trudeau fanfiction, well….
BUT IT’S SO GOOD…
Our favorite Prime Minister is a single man working hard in Ottawa, falling in love with an intern that he’s just got to have.
So, of course… he does.
This is the first in a series, but I find it to be the best – but that’s me. There’s a bit of lovely RCMP cosplay, a touch of BDSM, a whole lot of hot man and a sweet, sweet love that’ll have you keeping this book on your re-read shelf for those times when you want to go back to a good solid read.
Again, highly recommended!
Frisky Beavers for the win!
A kinky, naughty Dominant Prime Minister…
Oh yes please! I think that tells us everything, absolutely everything we need to know!
Ok, so there’s the age gap…
Also she is his intern…
There might be some innuendo.
Oh and the lamp breaking in his office…!
Yeah, this PM has my vote! Too bad I’m actually in the States. Oh and the Canadian accent too!
I absolutely LOVED Prime Minister. It’s heady and hot and oh so irresistible. It makes me want to read more by this dynamic duo and I most definitely will. I’ve never been so turned on by Canadian politics ;). Seriously though, this book is full of incredible characters with a steam factor of ‘someone get me a bucket of ice and hose me down’. If you’re looking for a great storyline, engaging characters and lots of sexy cuddle time then you ABSOLUTELY MUST READ this book.
I liked this book. It felt a little long, but had a lot of the right stuff – good storyline, not all sex, but hot sex in the appropriate spots. Just felt toward the end that it was dragging on, but still enjoyed the story and seeing what would happen next.
Hot!
Funny look at the people leading a public life and trying to find love. It started a little slow but when it got going I didn’t want to stop. And I was disappointed when it seemed to end abruptly. Good to keep you looking for more. Which continued in the next book of series, Max. They are stand alone but some cross over in characters. Steamy scenes keep you alert.
Can I just say that as much as I love Barack Obama, and think he’s a hottie with brains, if the US had a sexy, kinky leader like Gavin, then the women (and a lot of men) of this nation would be sooo much happier and elections would be a snap!
I loved Prime Minister, much more than I expected to. I guess my expectations were a little low coming into this because politics is really not my thing, but it exceeded it and then some. Ellie was much stronger than I had expected. And so smart; I can always, always get behind a smart heroine. Gavin, oh that swoony, kinky Gavin…he was so sexy and amazing! A great leader and an equally great partner for Ellie. I loved how their relationship came together and developed. And the sexy scenes were yummy. Especially loved the one with Gavin’s head of security, Lachlan. And I loved how the whole time, Gavin was constantly thinking not just with his little head, but with his real head, on how exactly to make his relationship work, as well as what was best for his country. He didn’t just rush into it, consequences be damned.
Now that I’ve been introduced to Ainsley Booth and Sadie Haller’s Canada, I can’t wait for more. The tease with Max’s story really intrigued me. I can’t wait to read his story. I’d love one for Ellie’s best friend, Sasha, and one for Gavin’s head of security, Lachlan, too.
Prime Minister is an exciting page turner, has a romantic and interesting storyline that will keep you glued to every page expecting more!!
Definitely not a book for the pure of heart, but I really enjoyed this book. I liked the depiction of the prime minister (savvy, sexy, smart, careful, but willing to take a political chance to be with the woman he loved) and the woman, his bellwether of public opinion, a brilliant writer and thinker who started out as a summer intern. (Chief of Staff: “My God, Gavin, didn’t you learn anything from Bill Clinton?”) Great humor, steamy, kinky erotica, and a satisfying love story.
While I’m familiar with Ainsley Booth and her H-A-F books, Sadie Haller is a new to me author. If this collaboration with Ms. Booth is even a tiny indication of her work, I cannot wait to check it out!
Gavin runs a country. Ellie is an intern in his office. Stop. Right there. I’m SOLD. The story that is weaved is more than I ever could have hoped for while seeing teasers prior to the release. Its Hot. Its Sexy. It pulls you in until the end, and even then you are hoping for a “PUNKED! Here is ten million more chapters!”
Prime Minister is a delicious start to what seems to be a fantastic new series. Read it, love it!!
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review
A little more detail about sex and less about Romance.
Sadly I DNF this book. I got to 48% and just couldn’t do no more. After reading the blurb I was really looking forward to this book. But it just got to a point that it just got kinda boring. It is a good story line but just didn’t do it for me. I think it felt more forced and din’t flow right. I have read other books by Ainsley Booth and love them, so I was a little dissapointed in this one. I will definitely read more in the future though.
I love this series.
This is an entertaining story with some steamy scenes and I liked the characters and the story. The only problem I had with this story was I thought Gavin was immature. He didn’t act like a forty year old, but more like a college student. That said, I still liked him and I though he and Ellie had a lot of chemistry.
I loved how much detail and thought was put into the politics and academia of these two characters. The romance was fairly good, but it was the overall story that really held my attention. A bit shorter than I expected, but altogether an enjoyable read.
I read it three times and each time I needed iced tea afterwards
