Freedom has been a pleasure denied to Mackenzie for the last five years. Forced to do the bidding of a crazed man to keep both her sister and her self alive, she is sent on a mission to infiltrate a group of people. Payment; their release. The only problem, no one mentioned they weren’t human. Or, that she would be drawn to a certain sexy, addictive male. Which will she decide, her heart? Or her … heart? Or her freedom?
In a world filled with despair, Jaxx’s only chance to save his humanity is tethered to a woman he hasn’t met. Finding her in an underground facility with his kidnapped protégé, was the last place he thought to find his savior. In a web of corruption, he will have to find the truth and convince his mate, she is his.
Before it’s too late.

Pushing through the trials and tribulations, along with a few twists and turns catapults this little jewel together sleek, shiny and tight. An impressive storyline and gripping plot with all the frills, spills and a good dose of suspense wraps this baby up for one wild adventure. A multitude of hapless surprises and a bevy of daunting events that take you on the ride of your life. The characters traits and qualities are well balanced and blended with enough spice to add flavor to the mix. 100% spot on with amazing scenarios that are so colorfully described its like you’re living it with them instead of on the sidelines. Fabulous job Ally, thanks for sharing this little guy with us.
Prowlers is book one in the new paranormal wolf shifter series. MacKenzie is being forced to do horrible things in order to save her sister and herself, and anytime she does something she shouldn’t her sister is punished. Jaxx, a wolf shifter, needs to find his mate before he goes rogue. The storyline was intriguing, with plenty of action, the characters are likeable and their chemistry was steamy. I can’t wait to read more of the series.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Kenzie was doing what was needed to take care of herself and her sister when she breaks into the wrong building at the wrong time which irrevocably changes both their lives. Kenzie is forced to do unspeakable things in an attempt to procure her and Ava’s freedom and every time she steps a foot out of line Ava is the one to pay the price. When Kenzie is tasked to infiltrate the Shadow Moon pack and report back on their location and any other information she can gather. When she gets taken by the very people who are holding her sister and turned into a were against her she and Ava save a child and run when Shadow Moon attacks the complex where they are being held. Not knowing who can be trusted or not she and Ava flee with the child but unfortunately Ava is recaptured. Jaxx, Beta of the Shadow Moon pack realises that Kenzie is his mate the minute he smells her scent but if he wants to build a future with this damaged new were he is going to have to exhibit patience and give her time, time that he may not have before his beast takes over personally. I think what I loved the most about this book is that there were stories within stories and the book was complex, as were the characters, and kept me glued to the pages from start to finish. What was done to Kenzie, Ava and a host of other victims is unspeakable and I cannot wait to see the direction that the author takes the series in in the future.
I received a free copy of this book from Shifted Sheets and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I really enjoyed this book, I thought it read like a movie. There was never a dull moment. So many twists and turns that it keeps you entertained and wanting to know what is going to happen. This is the first in the series and it could use some more editing but once the players have been introduced and the scenes have been set it’s nonstop action with a few sex scenes through out. It’s a long one but it’s worth it.
3.5 Stars
So this is the first book in a new paranormal shifter romance series.
This one has quite the romantic vibe and being fated mates was quite instalove with a lack of angst.
Mackenzie is working under duress for her current employers her sister Ava a prisoner to ensure her complete compliance.
After witnessing fantastical creatures she had no idea existed and scared stupid Kenzie manages to get herself kidnapped and carted off to a medical facility where life as she knows it is about to change.
Jaxx is a born shifter and because of this fact, he has an ever-increasing glyph tattoo on his chest that if completed before he bonds with his fated mate will send him feral and rogue a fate that also plagues all his born brothers.
Kenzie is the one for him but with the lines blurred on which side she actually belongs to it’s going to take some sweet-talking from Jaxx.
So this is action-filled with a passionate wolf and its centre who will do anything to claim and protect his life-mate.
I liked both Jaxx and Kenzie and thought they were well matched.
Wasn’t much a fan of the sister Ava what a selfish little girl she was: she really annoyed me with her blame game and I thought she needed a good sharp slap.
This was well written and though at first, it took me a while to become invested I did get there.
I also liked how the deck has been stacked here for future books in the coming series.
An intriguing start.
I voluntary reviewed a copy of Primal Instinct (Prowlers, #1).
