For months Corrine Lawson has walked a fine line between reality and madness. The only thing keeping her sane is her sexy and mysterious next-door-neighbor, Ryker. The closer she gets to uncovering the truth about him, the harder it becomes to resist the man who exposes her to a dangerous world steeped in myth and legend. Yet surrendering to him and the sizzling connection that burns between them … them means succumbing to the madness within, and that’s not a fight she’s willing to lose.
Both man and wolf, shapeshifter Ryker McKinnon has spent nearly a century tormented by his past, hungering only for vengeance — until he finds Corrine, a spirited human and the key to his redemption. Determined to use Cori as a pawn in a deadly game of revenge, nothing prepares Ryker for the staggering emotion her touch unleashes or the brutal need to claim her as his own.
When Cori is caught in the middle of a bitter feud and a centuries-old greed for Excalibur, will Ryker’s secrets destroy the woman he loves or finally awaken the fierceness inside her?

It was a decent read. I liked the heroine, the hero…the jumping to conclusions all the time bothered me, he is a detective, a supposedly really good one, he would think more methodically than this. Still the book it well worth the read.
I liked this book. It was well written and the characters well fleshed out. I did feel like the ending of the book was rushed and I think the love story was unrealistic. It was a fun, quick read
I received a complimentary copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Jane Crouch has created a thriller full of suspense and intrigue. It will grab the reader’s attention from the beginning and hold on to it until the surprise ending.
This story begins in the FBI Chief’s office in San Francisco. He, agent Conner Perigo, and …
Really enjoyed this book. Very clever plot.
Wow. Just wow. Her abilities are cool but scary. And I understand Connors reluctance at first. He is an FBI agent not trained to believe in this stuff. The story was intense and fast paced. Trying to catch a killer before the next victim and apparently his sights are set on Adrienne for last. So good. Like them as a couple. They balance each other …
I read and loved the second in this series of sisters with supernatural gifts, so have had this one in my TBR pile for awhile now. This one is interesting, but I didn’t quite feel the romantic connection between Adrienne and Conner. Their attraction is mentioned, and they share a kiss or two, but they run a bit too cold toward each other for a lot …
This was a great romantic suspense, definitely kept me on my toes. I had read the 2nd and 3rd book in this series so I was really excited when I saw this one available in the Audible Romance package. My plan was to listen while I was commuting to and from work, but I ended up listening to the whole book in one sitting.
Adrienne Jeffries was …
4.5. Great read, suspense, intrigue. Although the first time ****** made an appearance, I knew it was him. Still so well written it kept me all the way through. More Janie Crouch!
Excellent book that had me hooked from the beginning. Conner and his partner are FBI agents working a serial killer case. It’s been ten months, with five women killed, and there has been no progress in finding the killer. Conner’s boss decided it was time to bring in an outside consultant, one that worked for the FBI years earlier, with an …
This was a fun story about Adrienne and Connor. Adrienne had some gifts that the FBI decided to use to help catch a serial killer. Connor was an agent who didn’t believe in her gifts. The story had lots of action and some fun twist. Secondary characters were also well done and likeable. I really liked how Adrienne stuck with helping even with …
