There are many rules a priest can’t break. A priest cannot marry. A priest cannot abandon his flock. A priest cannot forsake his God.I’ve always been good at following rules.Until she came. Then I learned new rules.
My name is Tyler Anselm Bell. I’m twenty-nine years old. Six months ago, I broke my vow of celibacy on the altar of my own church, and God help me, I would do it again.
I am … altar of my own church, and God help me, I would do it again.
I am a priest and this is my confession.
Priest is a full-length standalone with an HEA. For Mature Audiences Only
Loved this book so hot and taboo but great characters and so well written x
I’m a little stupefied right now, if we’re being completely honest. This book surprised me and whipped me up in a way I wasn’t quite expecting.
First off, everything I’ve heard about Father Bell over the years from my recommending friends and squealing readers is one zillion percent true. Father Bell is everything, instantly sky-rocketing to the Top of the Book Boyfriend list. As soon as he mentioned he was a Walking Dead fan, I was done-for.
Can I say, I loved that this book was written from only his POV, with those little glimpses of Poppy in her confessions. So many romance novels these days are dual-POV, but seeing only Father Bell’s thoughts, feelings and emotions made it all the more raw, intense, and inevitably heart-breaking.
Unfortunately for his boo thang, not getting her POV made her slightly unlikable, in MY humble opinion. I wasn’t able to relate to her much, even though I wanted to love her so hard for Tyler’s sake. And then I wasn’t surprised when she did what she did (no spoilers), nor was I when we found out the truth. Idk… maybe no one is good enough for Tyler Bell in my eyes LOL
But still, the book was fantastic. The sex scenes were FIRE FIRE FIRE; so very taboo and titillating and different because of the circumstances. I loved it.
I just loved it. And I loved Father Bell. Honestly, he made this book such an EXCELLENT damn read. Kudos to Sierra Simone once again for creating such a wonderful character, and being an author who is so damn smart, it makes me feel smart when I read her books.
Rosary applause all day long for Sierra Simone and her Priest<3
This book is not for everyone, so if you’re easily offended by priests falling in love, skip it. If not, then enjoy this exploration of the feeling of a very conflicted man. It’s extremely well done.
Enjoyable because it was not what one expects from a priest. Quite a story!
I found Priest to be fearless, hot, and inspiring. The writing takes you on a journey that is both carnal and spiritual and by the end you are turned on and your soul sings. This from someone quite secular. It was amazing.
Wowza.
This book is sinful, it’s filthy, and it’s delicious.
The dirty talking… I felt like *I* needed confession after those naughty little scenes.
TABOO.
EROTIC.
SEXY.
HOT AF.
And, at times, romantic.
What a love story!
The chemistry between Tyler and Poppy was electric and full of sizzling sparks. When they were together, it was a beautiful thing.
I listened to the audiobook. Zachary Webber did a fantastic job narrating this. I do believe he helped my enjoy this more than if I would’ve read it.
An amazing forbidden love story. The narration was off the charts!! Sexy, erotic and absolutely worth the listen. I highly recommend this book.
Oh Father Bell Oh where were you all this time since I came across Christian Grey. I thought Fifty Shades trilogy was hot and intense but than I came across Sierra Simone and her books, and boy was I wrong. I have realized the more I read Sierra’s books the more I am loving her characters and stories. So although I am late to the party but never the less I am having a blast.
Coming to Priest and it’s characters, so Poppy and Father Bell were amazing and intense and hot. I thoroughly enjoyed. The way story was written and envisioned was mind blowing amazing. I loved it and currently reading Midnight Mass and just wow comes to mind. Thank you again Sierra for writing these amazing stories.
I wasn’t sure what to expect when I started reading Priest but whatever my expectations were, Sierra Simone far exceeded them. I couldn’t seem to put this book down as I took the rollercoaster ride of emotions with Father Bell and his lamb, Poppy. This is a sexy, emotional and erotic read that left sad that it was over when I read that last page.
Audiobook version: Wow! Let me start by saying I was pulled in from the beginning. The characters were fantastic and well crafted. They had instant chemistry that was easy to believe. This is a tale of follow your heart or your head. It was melt your panties hot and well worth a listen!
The narration by Jacob & Elena was fantastic. In all honesty, this was 95% Jacob Morgan as Elena has a very small role in this but he had no problem carrying the book basically on his own. It was superb.
I would easily recommend this to anyone who loves a steamy listen!
AudiobookObsession
I love Sierra Simone. LOVE her. And all of her books that I’ve read so far have been books that I flat could not put down. But this one, man, this one has stayed with me even more than the rest. Father Bell is… He’s forbidden. He’s sexy. He’s dominant. He’s loving. He’s the whole damn package. And I can no longer step foot on Catholic Church property without thinking of him. Yeah… I know… I’m going to hell. But Father Bell is THAT good!
Sierra is one of those magical, unicorn authors that I wish I could write like. That I’ll probably never be able to write like. And that I will love for all eternity.
I adore this Author. Priest is by far one of my favorite books. Sierra Simone can write the most steamy scenes and make them read like poetry. I would go into details but I can’t even begin to do it justice. Just know that this book is like no other and I mean that in the BEST way.
Sierra Simone never disappoints me. The conflict in this book is off the charts.
NO SPOILERS!
Priest was unlike anything I’ve ever read and left me completely speechless. I have almost no words for what this book made me think and feel. Sierra Simone blew me away with the storyline and characters, and I loved her writing style. I absolutely loved Father Bell (Tyler) and Poppy, and their story was one I’ll never forget. It was raw, steamy, filthy, emotional, entertaining, had all the feels, and was so much more than I originally expected. There were a few aspects throughout that I didn’t like as much, and therefore made me deduct a star, but overall I loved Tyler and Poppy’s story, and would highly recommend it. Sierra Simone’s brand of kink and romance was addicting and made my jaw drop, and I can’t wait to devour more from her!
Simone took two characters with built-in conflict just by their professions and nature, and created an incredible erotic romance
This story was written with passion and compassion. A priest, content in his calling, questions himself and his faith when he meets a beautiful woman and has very unfather like and carnal thoughts about her.
This story touches on the taboo topic of priests in the church, but with a twist. These characters have their faith and beliefs tested repeatedly and still try to hold on to the goodness in them.
A really great story!
Loved. I thought maybe this book would take aim at having faith but it actually managed to deliver a really smutty books that is actually respectful of faith and ties the experience into a religious experience. You just have to be good with smut. I couldn’t get enough, personally.
Holy Hotness! This book has so much steam in it you will be melting! Putting that aside for now (although that is so hard to do) I will tell you this story is amazing. The guilt and torment that these two go through is so difficult to hear. To know you are in love but feel you can’t make a move or act upon it is so heartbreaking but when you finally let go of the guilt the happiness you could have is endless. There are times when reading this book you will want to throw it across the room, but DONT DO IT! The book will redeem itself in the end. This is definitely a must read!!!
Dear lord jesus, where do I begin? *Smirk*
Well this book and series have now landed on my ALL TIME favourites pile. I’ve been at a loss for words on how to reviews this book and give it the best view I possibly can and I have been at a loss for words.. NO words can even come close to how amazing this book is. NONE AT ALL. Its that good.
Let me start by saying, this book is not for those who don’t like smut. It’s full of smut, it is laced through and through with delicious dity, kinky, and HOT smutty scenes. I love my kinky reads, I’ve read some pretty dirty books. But this book? Woah.. It even made me blush, and squirm constantly in my seat. So if by any way you are easily offended by dirty sex scenes, curse words, and Priest having sex with strippers,.. well this book is all that and MORE.
Priest follows the life of Father Bell and Poppy, and their insanely hot, forbidden, all consuming, down right dirty and addictive relationship.
Tyler aka Father Bell is a 29 year old Priest, he meets a young former stripper called Poppy after she find herself in his confsession booth. From first contact Father Bell felt something towards this woman, even though he hadn’t even seen her face, only heard her voice. Once they finally come face to face, a fast bond is formed and they find themselves unable to stop the desire they both feel for each other….
and thats where I am going to stop, because seriously, if you love forbidden, dirty, hot, kinky and intense romances, then why haven’t you picked this book up yet? SERIOUSLY?
Sierra Simone has had my heart for a while now, the way she can write a plot with character that you can actually relate to and the fact that she makes them seem more human, she makes sure to include the good, the bad, and the ugly.. and of course dirty… and this story right here just made me fall even more in love with her. She loves to take risks, she loves to push boundaries, and boy did she push them with this book. I loved each and every word. Although, this book may be full of dirty scenes, it also holds so much more. Father Bell has a past that is heart breaking, and it will pull at your heart string, and this back story of this man and what he had to see and go through is something that I can relate to, something I have been through myself and I bawled my eyes out throughout this book.
I highly recommend reading this book and also giving the audiobook a listen. Listening to it in audio made me fall in love with even more, if that was even possible. Sierra chose Father Bell and Poppy’s voice perfectly and those voices had me melt in my seat. If i could rate it more than 5 stars I would.
I chose to read “Priest” because I attended a writing workshop led by its author, Sierra Simone. And I liked her and was inspired by her tips and advice. Erotica is not my genre of choice, but storytelling is storytelling. And I’m a storyteller.
If you’re looking for a sizzling taboo love story (a Catholic priest who ravages a mysterious stripper repeatedly, including on his church’s alter), Priest” is for you. The entire book is told from the male perspective. For a female author to pull this off is amazing. I’m sure it required some candid discussions with men who were willing to offer their sensory descriptions of sex.
However, there were some cases of female-author intrusion that stopped me in my reader’s tracks. Simone has the protagonist says things he would never say. Never. For instance, she has him describing the stripper’s “Peter-Pan collar,” types of fabrics and colors as “sapphire, crimson and emerald.” I found it unlikely that he’d perceive “lush incensed air.”
It was an interesting read, I must admit. But I must also admit that I felt dirty and uneasy with all of the religious analogies/references being mingled together.
In the end, “Priest” delivers on its promise. A sex-obsessed priest with a past. A sex-is-power stripper with a past. And lots and lots and lots of detailed descriptions of sex.
