Are you afraid of the dark, Christina? I don’t need the lights on to read you like a book. The first time I meet the wolf’s cold eyes, we’re at a college party.Maybe you like the dark more than you think.I just quit the cheer squad. I’m about to dump my musician boyfriend. I’m partying harder than ever. I let money run through my fingers because I’m done reaching for standards I’ll never meet.… because I’m done reaching for standards I’ll never meet.
Soon, I’m broke. And I don’t want anyone to know.
The more you hide your true self, the more you’re going to let it out with me.
I’m bubbly and outgoing. He’s icy and alone. I stay away. I touch myself, thinking of him.
When I finally seek out Patrick Caruthers, he has a proposition.
Mind games. Humiliation. Control. Schedules. Him. Me.
I think you’re going to be the perfect playmate.
I’m not perfect. I’m not stunning or noble. I’m not a heroine.
You’re priceless.
I’m just a girl . . .
You were made for me.
And he’s a cold bastard
Who is paying me for sex.

Wow. I’m not sure what to even say about this book except, wow. I loved it. I loved Patrick and his control. I loved Christina and her quirkiness. They are so perfect for each other. They’re practically the opposite of each other but couldn’t be more right.
Christina is going through a spiral. She’s taking the college life to extremes and not caring one bit. Drinking, drugs and a general not giving a ish. Then her power gets cut off and she needs money. Money she doesn’t have. That’s when she meets up with Patrick, and he has a proposition for her.
Patrick is a lot of things. Cold, aloof, uncaring, protective and so so hot. He’s wanted Christina for a while and made a way to have her. His terms though. Always his terms. He knows what he likes, and he likes to always get his way. When he overhears a conversation of Christina’s he sees that as his time to strike. He wasn’t prepared for everything that Christina is though and soon lines get blurred.
Patrick like it his way and Christina likes to give it his way, but soon it’s not about the money for her. She wants more. Patrick is set in his ways and things get even more complicated than they were. Then there are outside forces that push them to extremes. This book is so much of everything and I am in love with it.
These two are the perfect match but when you’re used to something happening a certain way, it’s hard to deviate the plan of what was. This is my first book by this author and now I want to read everything of hers. So obsessed.
Holy Crap! like, where do I even begin to explain how freaking fantastic this book was! Priceless was Hot, scratch that this book was Blazing! Liquid, that what this book turned me into! It made me ridiculously molten. Priceless is hands down the Sexiest book I have EVER read! It lures you in and swallows you whole! Never in my life have been this turned on by reading a book! You will definitely need a few extra changes of panties and a cold shower while reading this because Silver isn’t playing around! This author knows how to get the juices flowing!… Wink… PATRICK. IS.EVERYTHING. Christina is a hot mess barely keeping it all together. When she meets Patrick and his solution to her problems, everything changes. I felt so immersed in this book, I couldn’t put it down. Christina and Patrick were intense and exhilarating! It was shocking, dirty, sexy, emotional, and it was all soooooo good! I fell in love with these characters. Christina lives on little lies and keeps so much hidden away inside, Patrick gave her a reason to let it out. Patrick wasn’t planing on Christina being what he needed as well. Their story is my favorite kind, emotional, raw, healing. One of the things I love the most is this book was Super Sexy but it wasn’t smut or erotica, it was sensual and passionate. I couldn’t have loved it more! This is a book that you won’t be able to let go of! I know every time I see a 20 dollar bill I will have flashbacks. So happy to found this gem and excited to read more books by this author. Silver is a new to me author but she won’t be for long. I was lucky enough to have been able to receive an arc in exchange for an honest review.
This book definitely packed in some heat. I like the whole dominant/submissive relationship between the two main characters. Sometimes I felt the story was missing something and there were some noticeable errors in the e-book version. Overall I think it was a decent romance with some good smut, but I just felt it lacked something I was seeking. I give it 3.5 stars if I could do half stars.
“It’s hard to get close to someone when you’re pretending to be someone else.”
This was a miss for me unfortunately. I tried. Lord, did I try.
I made it about a quarter of the way in and told myself it would get better. I would start seeing the story unfold.
I made about half way through and I told myself that the heroine would stop being SO INSECURE about E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G. That I would start seeing a stronger woman emerge.
I made it about 3/4 of the way and I had to stop. I couldn’t fool myself any longer. I just wasn’t feeling a connection between the anti-hero and the heroine….nothing. And I WANTED to feel something between them because there emotions and fears mirrored each others and they were the perfect match in every way, in and out of the bedroom, but unfortunately, 98% of the book was only interactions WITHIN the bedroom and those were basically all s*xual in nature, no real depth. So when Christina started falling for Patrick, I felt it was more lust, than love. I just couldn’t see if happening. Maybe if Christina’s insecurities would’ve been toned down or played out differently, I couldn’t related to her, but I just didn’t. Maybe if Patrick didn’t allow her to continue to voice her insecurities. Maybe. Maybe. Maybe. But then there was Patrick…I liked him. He was alpha, Dominate, aggressive (in all the right places), possessive, hot…he was the ideal guy for Christina in this situation, but even him and his mysterious background couldn’t pull me from the depths and make me love this book. sad face
I did end up finishing, but I had to take a break in between and read other books. I was hopeful that I would come back with a better mindset and be able to see this story for what Miranda was trying for it to be, but I unfortunately, couldn’t. In the end I think that this story had great potential. The blurb pulled me in and had me curious, but ultimately, it just wasn’t executed crisp enough for my liking, which really bummed me out. I know that a lot of readers enjoyed this book, so maybe it is a “it’s me, not you” kinda thing…maybe.

“Nah. You’re priceless.”
