Are you afraid of the dark, Christina? I don’t need the lights on to read you like a book. The first time I meet the wolf’s cold eyes, we’re at a college party.Maybe you like the dark more than you think.I just quit the cheer squad. I’m about to dump my musician boyfriend. I’m partying harder than ever. I let money run through my fingers because I’m done reaching for standards I’ll never meet.… because I’m done reaching for standards I’ll never meet.
Soon, I’m broke. And I don’t want anyone to know.
The more you hide your true self, the more you’re going to let it out with me.
I’m bubbly and outgoing. He’s icy and alone. I stay away. I touch myself, thinking of him.
When I finally seek out Patrick Caruthers, he has a proposition.
Mind games. Humiliation. Control. Schedules. Him. Me.
I think you’re going to be the perfect playmate.
I’m not perfect. I’m not stunning or noble. I’m not a heroine.
You’re priceless.
I’m just a girl . . .
You were made for me.
And he’s a cold bastard
Who is paying me for sex.

I discovered humiliation kink a few years ago, after many, many years of thinking it was beyond my personal squick level. (Never say never.) Although Priceless is new adult (college age), like many bully romances, but is not really a bully book. The hero and heroine have barely any interaction in public and what there is is actually nurturing and supportive. This is a “pure” humiliation kink book, where the hero and heroine play humiliation games in private. I’m still up in the air about whether I enjoy the public bullying or private humiliation games more, but I LOVED this book and immediately went and bought it after reading it KU because it’s a rainy-day book that I’ll read again and again.
The premise is really simple: the heroine has poor financial control and gets herself in a tight spot where the utilities are turned off on a cold night and her party friends aren’t there for her. The hero, who has seen her around campus before, overhears her call to one of the party friends, realizes she needs quick cash, and offers her an opportunity to “earn” it.
The premise is simple, but the characters are not. These are nuanced, fully-fleshed, living, breathing characters who I wouldn’t be surprised to bump into at a campus coffee shop. What I liked even better? They don’t exist in a vacuum. They have people around them – some friends, some who look like friends and aren’t – who are affected by their actions. I absolutely loved the way the author traced through the ripple effect, particularly of the hero’s actions.
On top of this immersive characterization, the author writes BLAZINGLY hot s3x scenes. They are . I’m in awe.
I’m now reading through this author’s back catalogue and love the next book I picked up (The Boys Next Door) just as much so far.
Highly recommended.
CAN’T BELIEVE I FELL IN LOVE WITH A FRAT BOY. I’m emotional. One of my favorite romances.

I’m obsessed with this book. I was so close to DNFing even though I had barely started reading I couldnt get into the story. I didnt like the heroine at all and couldnt relate to her. However, I’m so glad i stuck it out because it quickly picked up and its thus far one of my fav reads of this year. The character development in this book is mind blowing, the progression was clearly shown and cleverly done. Heros motives seemed really unrealistic but its fiction so anything goes. Glad I gave this book a chance. On reflection, it all makes sense now. This is easily a 5 star book and would recommend to anyone who likes reading about damaged people finding acceptance, self worth and purpose. Not only is this book sexy and dark, it’s full of meaning and moral. I adored the message of self love and acceptance in this book.
Wow, this was so good! I cant keep my gaze away because it was hot. Priceless was the romance with young adult and high emotions.
I adored YA romance and the author had written the story with some serious topics. Their identities struggle had captured my interest.. Not a perfect person… Fake or being someone else.
Patrick and Christina, you guys cant keep the hands off! Their romances were not a traditional couple. It was sensual and steamy.
I felt that Christina and Patrick struggles were hardbreaking. They were so hard with each other not knowing the real feelings behind it. It was crazy and chaotic like teenager drama. I love that the Author didnt try to hide the truth. Everything worth something and never lose yourself. This story related to so many people especially the YA about expectation.
I am very excited to check out more from her
Holy smokes what a hot one hand read omg talk about some naughty dirty talk that’ll have you fanning and drooling as well as turning pages to see what happens next. This is my first book to read by Miranda and wow did she deliver in spades.
In this story the arthur brings the 2 main character’s Christina and Patrick flaws and all together and has you falling in love or lust with them.
Patrick with his dirty filthy mouth you won’t want to fall for him, but the things he can do with his mouth
Christina I couldn’t help but feel for her she’s struggled her whole life being in the shadow of the “perfect” older sibling and it’s starting to show in her partying way’s and at school she’s on the way down and desperate when Patrick makes a offer that’s to good to pass on, but what does she gain by taking him up on his offer? You’ll just have to one click and find out
This is definitely a must read.
One of the steamiest book I’ve ever read. Christina and Patrick together was phenomenal and the chemistry was off the charts. Patrick is possessive, an alpha and reading his POV was my favorite. He’s truly so caring towards brother and I love that. Christina is a strong, caring and independent. Her struggles wanted me to give her a hug, but she fought through it. Definitely recommend!!
I knew going in that this book was going to be about college kids. I try to stay away from these, but this one looked interesting. Patrick is a really great character. He has layers, and even when he’s trying to be an ass, he has a caring heart. The heroine is pretty cringe-worthy. Overall, I recommend it.
I won an ARC of this on Facebook.
I have never read this author, much less heard of her, but this book sounded so good I could not wait to jump into it.
I loved the story of Patrick and Christina. Both characters are brought together by need, hers more than his. They met once, months ago, when she was dating someone else. Now they are brought together yet again and he isn’t letting her slip away. He overhears a phone call and uses this to his advantage.
Despite the arrangement, he never once made her feel like less. In fact, he always made her feel like more. I love this about Patrick. There’s nothing bad you can say about this guy. He was sweet to her every moment of the time. In fact even when they were in a trial period, he didn’t kick her out afterwards, even going as far as making her breakfast the next morning. I was so thrown off by this, but loved it.
During their whole arrangement, the sleeping over and breakfast aspects just allowed it to be less…arrangement-y…and more as a caring relationship. In books with this trope, simply being together allows the characters to fall in love. I loved what this author did! She brought a sense of realism to this book and did more with it. After each ‘meeting’, she spends the night, they talk, they part friends. In these talks they learn about each other and real feelings are able to bloom. It’s less physical and more real and meaningful. I will praise this book till the end of time for this.
Like every other review says, this book is hot!! H-O-T-T-T hot! He pushed boundaries; she opened up, and yet there was such a level of respect between them that I need to praise the author yet again for. For taking such a situation and not making it dirty. At. All. The second the safe word was used (once), he pulled back (as he should, of course). He knew her bounds and never hurt her. Never pushed her further than he knew she could handle. She wasn’t closed off. Maybe at first, but did open up after time, even requesting certain acts.
The level of realness, adorableness, and respect these two had for one another blew me out of the water. I haven’t read a book with such in a while. More so, Christina was an interesting character. Good girl gone off the deep end, but working on redeeming herself. This book isn’t about her dark times; it’s about healing from those times. By reflecting on herself before the dark times and why she even entered those times in the first place, so that she can rectify herself and go forward. Of course Patrick helps with her confidence and such. Patrick too has a past. Interesting and a bit twisted of course. It brought just enough mystery to the book.
It’s told mainly in Christina’s POV, but there are some chapters in his POV and I devoured those. His perspective is so interesting in regards to her and also allow us to Learn about his past.
I will be forever grateful for winning this book. It was sooo good and I am so happy I read it. 5 stars all the way!
Christina has found herself in an impossible situation, in her quest to break free of her parents controlling ways and live life on her own terms she has wound up broke, with debts piling up. Then she meets a handsome stranger named Patrick Caruthers that offers to fix everything… as long as she agrees to his proposition!
Between the pages of this steamy and heart-wrenching page-turner readers will meet a young lady desperate to get her life back on track, and the young man that promises to help her to do for a small cost. This was a bit of a dark romance, one filled with emotional heart torturing moments, sultry behind closed door moments, and some dramatic moments as well. The arrangement these two had was meant to just give them one thing they craved, but somewhere along the line they started to depend on one another for much more. And the “much more” became the tricky part for them to maneuver through, neither were looking for love, but it found them, and wouldn’t let go. I loved this one, the words were laced with emotion that touched my heart, and the characters were easy to embrace, you couldn’t help but feel for them. Highly recommend!!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.
I’m definitely going to read more from Miranda Silver after being introduced to her writing with Priceless. This book is not for everybody but if you’re into erotica, like I am, and a dark and dominating hero then this is right up your alley.
Patrick and Christina make an arrangement and it contains sex. A lot of it. Patrick is not holding back. He’s verbally ruthless and rough but always offers Christina the opportunity to say stop. They are two consenting adults. Throughout their arrangement Christina learns new sides of herself and about her so-called friends. Patrick is a fascinating character who has a lot of secrets I couldn’t wait to figure out. He also sees everything including Christina and the facade she portrays. As cold as he seems he’s so much more. I was completely entranced by him and oh man did he have a DIRTY MOUTH on him. Lordy! I had to fan myself numerous times. I struggled with Christina mainly because of her repetitive behavior but it didn’t affect my enjoyment of Priceless.
All in all Priceless was one hell of a sensual and erotic ride. Miranda Silver satisfied my dark and dirty mind all thanks to Patrick who’s going to occupy my thoughts for quite awhile.
4 Heart Shaped Box Stars
Patrick has a filthy mouth and I love it!
Where do I even start with this book? My little filthy but romantic reader heart loved it.
The premise of this story seems to crazy, getting paid for sex at college? Yeah… but this book is so much more than that. It’s about lies, truths and everything in between with a lot of filthy, filthy sex which was so hot I was fanning myself.
I really felt for Christina, a girl living in the shadow of her ‘amazing’ older sister, trying to be perfect when deep down all she wanted was to be accepted for being who she was inside. She was at rock bottom and honestly, I wanted to just give her a hug.
Enter Patrick, cold and icy on the outside, but burning hot on the inside. Holy hell did he have a filthy, filthy mouth, but I was all for it and so was Christina. The sex practically melted my phone and I was definitely a puddle of goo over this guy. I have a thing for broken, damaged men and Patrick definitely fit the bill.
I loved watching these two grow together, to shed all their lies and secrets. The way he cared for Christina even though he was so cold and mean to her in bed at times, but hey, girl gets off on that so no worries there.
Honestly, I could go on about this book, but I don’t want to give any spoilers. If you want a story that’s about growing up and accepting who you are with a ton of dirty sex, then this is the one for you. I’ve had my emotions put through the wringer, but it was all so worth it. I’ll definitely be reading more of Miranda Silver’s books now!
Christina’s starting to spiral. So when she first meets Patrick, it’s not the ideal time. Well, perhaps it is, though, because she needs money and he wants to give her money. For sex. Yep. But it’s not run of the mill, 1-minute rounds of sex. No. It’s downright dirty, hot, rolling around in the sheets kind of sex that everyone should have at least once in their life. And Christina’s lucky she gets to have it with the wolf named Patrick. But when her heart starts getting involved, it could ruin their little dirty games because Patrick’s heart is still frozen and no one, even Christina, is going to be thawing it anytime soon.
Hot damn, Priceless is SMOKIN!!! Whew, I’m getting hot just thinking about it. But it’s not pure smut because the storyline is quite interesting, engaging reading that I’d love more of. I am not sure if this is part of, or the beginning of, a series, but I hope so because I am hooked on Miranda’s writing now, and want more!
*First time reading author
What a story! Priceless is a well-written story that surprised me. I found myself so involved in this story that I forgot to make dinner. HAHA. Patrick and Christina are characters you dream about at night and hope to see the next day in the next book you read.
Patrick has a ruff history with women and has found a way to deal. He thinks being callous, having a contract, and being emotionless will be the best way to deal with Christina. Patrick believes that an agreement will keep emotions out of all things, sexual and love. What Patrick can’t predict is Christina.
Christina is attracted to Patrick right off the bat. The chemistry between them burns through the pages, so there is no denying it. There are other reasons Christina chooses to make this contract with Patrick, but in the end, the feelings are real between them.
I love this story and am a fan of Mirana Silver from now on!
This is my second new to me author this year and OMG this book is intense scorching and at times a crazy adrenaline fueled ride.
Patrick and Chrisitina have an arrangement of mutual need she need money and he wants uncomplicated sex with no strings. At first I wasn’t sure about Patrick he was like some stalker watching and waiting to take advantage but as a character he grew on me. I was confused by him because he has this persona that everyone buys into but the reality of his life is very different. He came across as cold and unfeeling and then he would do the sweetest things for her but just shrug it off. Christina is the good girl gone rogue but trying to deal with the consequnces and do better. This book has touches of dominant/submissive and let me tell you Patrick is a very very dirty talker. He could be mean rude and dismissve and at times bordering on cruel but I’d still take him any day of the week.
If you like your books on the filthy side get this on your TBR you won’t regret it.
Excuse me a moment while I fan myself to dowse the flames…because this book is scorchingly hot, dark and delicious!
Miranda Silver is now on my auto-purchase list after this read.
I’m still digesting all the aspects of this story that made this a 6 star read for me.
She nailed every aspect of this story; the undeniable intense chemistry between Patrick and Christina, their internal and shared dialogues revealing themselves so rawly to us, the humiliation and degradation of their “companion” arrangement and just how perfectly it gave them each what they needed, and it’s transition from something sordid into something so purely beautiful.
This is a stellar read!
And though this is a college “romance” of sorts, it’s so very mature in it’s content and portrayal with real issues that are entirely relatable, you’ll feel each characters pain and struggle personally, that’s just how well this is written. There’s just so much to love about this story.
If you like your Alphas dirty and secretive, with hearts of gold, your heroines feisty, vulnerable yet internally strong, a good measure of despicable villains on all sides, and some surprising friends that are there just as our characters need them – then you are going to love and devour this book!
Don’t miss it!!!
4.6 stars
There is something about this author that has me devouring her words as I need them to breathe. This has been one of my most anticipated books since I discovered that it was in the works. Every little teaser that I would see on IG had me jonesing for it. I was right to be excited because this book was fire. She writes some of the hottest steam ever. Don’t believe me? Just read The Boys Next Door. Although, make sure to be prepared for a cold shower because it will be needed.
Christina and Patrick were unconventional in every sense of the word. Not only as a couple but in regards to each other. They were as different as night is to day. However, in their differences, they became the yin and yang needed for each other. Where Patrick, outwardly appeared unfeeling, he was anything but. He felt, especially when it came to Christina. And Christina, she felt everything but tried to appear that she didn’t. She tried to meet up to perfection, a perfection that was only in her head. I loved watching these two characters banter and try to fight their attraction to each other. I knew it was only a matter of time before they would see that this was so much more than it had started out as. It was interesting to see that Patrick wasn’t from a social status that I was expecting. For some reason, I thought this story would have him portrayed as an elite slumming it with a poor girl from the wrong side of the tracks. However, this story was amazing when it broke it down and just allowed it to show that, sometimes, the road to love takes an unusual path.
I had some minor issues with the story that I had wanted fleshed out. Such as the backstory with his family, more fleshed out details between Alexis and Daniel, and more concern on the bad habit that Christina had, especially considering that this is a major problem in the United States. All that aside, this still was an excellent book. I highly recommend this author to anyone.
Good Lordt…WOW! Can a girl get some water… a change of panties & perhaps a fan or a cold shower? Or both? This book was … With off the charts chemistry, an intense arrangement, secrets, self discovery & raw emotions…GAH! This book was just so damn good. Priceless was definitely a darker read but at the core of all the darkness was an unexpected love story too…Christina and Patrick never expected to find something “more” in one another outside of their deal; but their story was whew AHMAZING! This was my first read by Miranda Silver but it most definitely won’t be my last..SO GOOD!
Fantastically Hot and Steamy!
WOW! This was one amazing, utterly fantastic, dark and dirty story, which I freaking loved! It was one intense roller coaster ride of passion, depravity and dirty talking!
Patrick is dark, filthy and mean but so damn sexy. He knows just how to use sexy and filthy talk to bring you to your knees with want and pleasure. DAMN – THE THINGS HE CAN DO – WOW!!! He’s mean and very delicious; and will keep you guessing whether he is a good or evil. Christina is a hot mess and is in a very tough situation. Patrick has just what she needs to fix it. Their situation and companionship falls down the rabbit hole of being indecent and immoral but OH SO SPICY and SEXY!
The chemistry between Patrick and Christina is mind blowing and potent. Their desires and needs are dirty, deviant and very juicy! These two characters were made for each other in every way. When they are together its explosive and combustible. The sex was kindle and panty melting!
This story is not just sexy, it’s emotional, raw, gritty and very passionate. Just be warned that you might need a change of panties after reading this one!
I loved everything about this story and I am very excited to read more books by this amazing author. I can’t wait for more!!! Highly recommend.
This book was highly recommended by a friend and it blew my mind! Patrick and Christina keep creeping up on my thoughts days later. Their story is dark and twisted and deeply sensual. Yet at the core of it all, it’s truly heartfelt because it comes down to both of them accepting themselves and their desires as they are, and realizing their self-worth.
Patrick is harsh, callous and so hot!! LOL. His words are fiery arrows aimed right at Christina. He sees that she could be his match, though he doesn’t realize just how deep their connection will be. Christina is lost in self-doubt and she feels the weight of the world on her shoulders trying to live up to impossible expectations. Their arrangement, as taboo and unconventional as it is, allows her to finally feel decent about herself in a surprising way. And it’s her strength and feistiness that starts to break down Patrick’s barriers.
Great characters. Unique and tantalizing storyline. Hot hot HOT sexy times. What’s not to love? 5 stars for Priceless!
Priceless by Miranda Silver was a sensual and intense romance. It was not easy or sweet. The characters are flawed and twisted. The emotions are complicated and overwhelming. You need to go in with an open mind as the author will push your boundaries to extreme.
Christina is an intriguing characters. She has a lot of baggage about her self esteem, directions in life and need of approval from people in her life. It’s last year of her school and she is slipping into a dark place of debauchery and self destruction. Patrick extends a helping hand but she has to make a deal with the devil. Patrick is going to break her mind and own her body. But the truth is he is also running away from his demons. And Christina is going to strip him down of his defense. They do depraved and dirty and raw things to each other. School, life, friends and family are suffocating them. And they find release, solace and freedom in each other. This build up of a twisted bond is the strength of the story.
Priceless by Miranda Silver was unique portrayal of the deepest, darkest and most raw human emotions.
