Claire
When it comes to relationships, I’m a magnet for attracting all the wrong men.
I need a date—desperately—when I find out my lying, cheating ex is going to my best friend’s wedding.
Trusting the stars, my meddlesome Grams places a personal ad in the paper for me with one stipulation:
Leos need not apply.
While taking care of her, an all too familiar pediatric nurse with startling blue eyes … with startling blue eyes asks me on a date.
But he’s a Leo. Not only by name, but by birth date.
This patient, caring, determined man wants me, but my heart has paid the ultimate price in the past.
Will he be the one to mend my heart or will I pay the price once again?

Claire Malone has been dating the wrong men for five long years. Leo Price has had his eye on Claire for a long time, but never did anything about it. Others can see it, but Claire is oblivious to it. Finally, her grandmother and her friends decide to do something about it. Knowing her well, they craft an ad in the Franklin Bugle and when Claire finds out about it, she is upset. After all kinds of responses, things start to slow down a bit, which leaves her open to having dinner with Leo. One of the wrong men that Claire has been dating is Leo’s half-brother, Tim. Tim and Claire broke up after she caught him cheating.
There are some deliciously fun parts to this book, and some awkward parts as well. The author throws in a few misunderstandings and events that could be interpreted two different ways, and the tension ramps up. Claire’s grandmother adds quite a bit of fun to the proceedings, as do her best friends. There are some things that are left unanswered, but most things get resolved within the scope of the book. The pace is even and the tension jumps around slightly, but that is because of the nature of the story. Tim is the kind of character who is easy to hate, as is his new girlfriend. There are a few surprises in this story as well, and it all adds up to a delightful read. The friendships in the book feel authentic and tight, which adds an extra layer of warmth to this story.
Great read.
Loved it !!!
I have read all of the Written in the Stars books so far and they are little gems, and The Price Of Love by Erica Marselas is another one of those gems,it was a delight to read.
Claire and Leo were explosive together, Leo brought out the best in Claire he made her feel like a goddess, and after the traumatic past she endured at the hands of an ex.Her confidence in herself and in love took a bit of a beating . But Leo wow he is a dream boyfriend hell I want him for myself..lol..he made me swoon more than once.I adored their chemistry, and flirting and banter I fell in love with the characters in this story Claire’s grandmother and best friend are a hoot I loved their meddling..and her grandmother was a complete believer in horoscopes and the predictions she often had for Claire.
Erica’s writing was brilliant, witty, funny, sexy and emotional and I really enjoyed this story it was a pleasure to read this book .
Highly recommend it.
This story was absolutely charming. Claire has had a lifetime of bad experiences when it comes to love. But Leo is soooooooo swoony, loving, caring, attentive, hot, generous and genuine among so many other things (like a God in bed), that even when she tries to be careful, she can’t help to give herself a chance. They have sweetly and slowly been falling since forever and their friends make the story very interesting with their wild and crazy ways of helping them along. And let’s not forget about a very wise and intuitive grandma. She is the best! Plus really, you can’t go wrong when bad guys get theirs. Like a douche ex for example.
Sometimes you have to hit rock bottom before you can open yourself to the good. Clare doesn’t have the best luck in choosing men for lasting relationships. Leo once thought he found his mate but someone stole that chance from him. Now the universe is giving him a second chance to find love? Speed bumps are thrown in both their paths. Will truths and destinies help Claire and Leo find their HEA? This was an entertaining fast read. Strong characters, swoony men, meddling friends and some steam in the bedroom.
I loved this book so much! It was a great, quick read. Read it in an afternoon, I couldn’t put it down!
Claire and Leo were great! They had such chemistry, I was rooting for them from day 1! It was a great storyline, with great supporting characters. Best friends and a scheming Grams, they were all great! I wanted more of these characters.
This was the first book I’ve read by Erica Marselas and I’m about to go devour her entire catalog! Highly, highly recommend this book!
