He thought he had lost his world…She was there to pick up the pieces…Alex-I was the president of a small motorcycle club, Wings of Diablo. My word was law and I had a crew that would put their very lives on the line if I asked. I did, and I was wrong. I was blinded by my own pride. I couldn’t see that I was in over my head and that hubris was enough to cost me everything. My club. My brother. … wrong. I was blinded by my own pride. I couldn’t see that I was in over my head and that hubris was enough to cost me everything. My club. My brother. My Laura…gone.
Mikki-
I killed him. I didn’t mean to, he was behind me and I was so scared. I thought he was one of Vilanuevas goons and I was not going back to the hell that I had just escaped from. Never. I almost left him right there in that alley when I realized he was not dead, but something about his voice and the name that he called out softly on his way to death’s gate stopped me short. I had to help him. I had to bring this beautiful haunted, soulless man back to life.
This story will rip at your heart and have you wanting so much more. If you’re looking for the perfect mash up between a flawed alpha bad boy and a strong heroine this is for you! Fans of Nina Levine and Nicole Snow agree this is a must read!

This is the first book that I’ve read from Rae B Lake and I must say I was very pleased. The things poor Prez had to go through was heartbreaking and the same could be said for Mikki, Vida and little Angel. I can’t wait to see what comes next. Happy reading!

He was president of a MC, when his wife was murderer he lost it. He became addicted to drugs. Mikki saved his life. Good read and romance.

Prez was a freaking amazing book. It starts out with Prez beside himself with grief at the death’s of his mc brothers and most of all his wife Laura. He tries to stop the pain by taking drugs and drinking, pretty much throwing his life down the toliet. It all comes to a halt when he meets Mikayla (Mikki), her sister and Mikki’s little ward she had taken in. Mikki is on the run from the mob, but in Prez fashion he can not leave her to fend for herself and two children. Over time Prez starts to fall in love with the kids and most importantly MIkki. The story is there journey to rid themselves of their past and to look forward to the future. This book is a definite must read!!!
Well written story that will give you all the feels. I cried, laughed and screamed, I wanted to throw my Kindle a few times. This book broke me and I can’t wait to read the next in the series.
