I love how Simone keeps my favorite story going! This is an amazing original story with interesting characters with fascinating back stories. Klempner is a better man, friend, dad, husband maybe? Does James get a second chance at fatherhood with both daughters? I love how the past always comes back around to haunt and taunt these fabulous characters. What happens next? I can’t wait to find out!

I just love this series. Simone Leigh is an amazing author. I have been reading this series from the beginning. The the saga with the triad of James, Charlotte, and Michael, just gets better and better. Just when you think you are starting to figure things out Simone throws something else in there. I can’t wait to read ‘Fatale’ to see what happens next.

OMG! Yes!
“The Master’s Child” storyline continues in “Prey”. Prey is the most suspenseful tale in the series focusing on James’ other daughter Georgie, who has been kidnapped, and on a mysterious woman from Klempner’s past. These situations are combined and interwoven into the original storyline’s plot giving us an incredible non-stop, action-packed, dangerous, hard-hitting and explosively suspenseful tale that is alluring and mesmerizing, drawing you into the drama that culminates in a twist that will leave you breathless right before the cliffhanger ending. I am so in love with this series.

The more this story reveals, the more I like Klempner. He is a man with a horrible past, and if you met someone like him in real life, you would run screaming, waiting for the shoe to drop.
But in this story, you can’t help but fall for this enigmatic man, this harbinger of danger and all things dark. He is the man of nightmares, but the only one you want to keep you safe in the dark.

I immediately fell back into the story and did not want to put it down. I was on the edge of my seat with the action and drama throughout the story. I absolutely loved the twist and cannot wait to see what will happen next. I am absolutely blown away with the twists and turns these stories have taken.

Wow! I could not put this one down, finished it after midnight. So good. The intrigue just keeps going. Wonder where it will head next …
The family continues to support Klempner until the evidence is revealed, implicating the mystery lady! The Police Commissioner gets involved and gives the girls protection so James, Michael and Larry are free to search for Baxter and the mysterious woman that has taken Georgie! Frustrating attempts filled with exhausting hit and miss, twists and turns, is causing intense mixed feelings and stress for everyone! James reaches his limit and unloads all he’s been holding in on Larry! Michael and Charlotte set him straight but it’s to late, he’s already gone. It’ll take someone ruthless like Larry to take care of situations like this one, but will it be enough this time? Will Klempner come up against someone even more ruthless than him? Someone that could keep him from getting back to Mitch and his family permanently? I can’t wait for the next book ‘fatale’ to come out! Simone Leigh has really outdid herself on this super exciting suspenseful story!
Wow, it got me again, I was left shouting “no” – I can’t wait Fatale.
What is there to say that doesn’t give things away, things are progressing along and I’m glad that Will Stanton gives Klempner the chance to sort things out and find James’ daughter Georgie. Thi
Just when you think things will be resolved, Simone brilliantly takes the story and characters in another direction. What started as a story about James, Charlotte and !Michael with some occasional play friends has evolved into a brilliant series that is full of suspense, intrigue and steam. It’s up there with some of the best steamy thrillers in my opinion.
This is part of a series and not a stand-alone as you just can’t pick it up. I recommend the whole series 100% you will not be disappointed.
Georgie, James’ daughter with his ex, Marlene, has been abducted. The police and the entire family work feverishly to find her in time. Woven around a number of twists and switchbacks in the plot of Prey, the 6th book in The Master’s Child series, many of our favorite characters are struggling with conflict. ~~ James feels conflicted. His instinct is to fly to the aid of his eldest daughter, Georgie. Nothing will stop him. And yet, before he can take a step out the door, he stops in his tracks and turns to Charlotte. He asks if she will understand and accept that he must do this. ~~ Charlotte feels conflicted. Of course, she will let James go. What else can she do? And yet, when he has gone, she is filled with misgivings and a jealous mistrust. For the confident young mother with the heart of a warrior-woman, this is uncharacteristic. ~~ Mitch feels conflicted; and angry, and worried. Larry tip-toed out of her bed and left without even a note. Once again. She has no idea where he’s gone; and no idea when or if he’ll return. He might be killed by their enemy. Even if he survives, he may choose to stay away from her, from them, forever. ~~ Klempner feels conflicted. He is distracted, struggling with feelings he’s never had before, all while putting himself directly in the path of a mad-person; tracking down the enemy that is trying to harm his family. Should he stay near Mitch and the family when he knows it will endanger them? Should he leave, and disappear back into the lonely existence he’s known most of his life? ~~ These struggles and more are what the author has bedeviled our imaginations and hearts with in Prey. Yes, we must wait for some resolution. Each edition has a little bit of a ‘cliffie.’ But this writer creates her works of art rather quickly. We usually don’t have to wait long for more of our favorite characters. And, to be honest, I think the author is giving us some of her best and most creative storytelling ever! If I could, I’d give this way more than 5 stars.

Oh My Goodness! This story series gets better and better with every new addition!! This time around, the closely knit individuals who have become each other’s family has another crisis. Jame’s oldest daughter Georgie has been kidnapped! James, Michael and Larry go to look for her.
Then all hades breaks loose.
The police commissioner gets involved in it too.The guys don’t have to worry about Mitch, Charlotte baby Cara or a very pregnant Beth while they are gone. Richard stays with the Ladies and they also have police officers protecting them.
The hunt for Georgie goes crazy quickly!
It seems that the persons responsible just want revenge on Klemperer for his past sins. Of which there are too many to count.
This is a stay at the edge of your seat story! Simone Leigh has this entire world as her muse!!great job from her and such a fantastic read!!
