Wow. I think I’m just a little numb now because the words refuse to come. This was a darkly emotional read. It picks up almost immediately where the first book left off and carried me away. I’m not completely impressed with Moira’s too-stupid-to-live actions, but I understand why she does them and why they were necessary for the story. I loved watching Severus and all his protective instincts. Now I’m even more desperate to read the rest of the series.
I love the way this author writes. And I love that I kinda feel like I’m watching an episode of Supernatural when I’m reading these! And I love the characters. OK, I’m just really loving this series…
Like the first in the series, Prey is well written, well paced, and interesting. I found the consent aspect is a little squiffy, but overall a very enjoyable read.
So the story picked up right where we left off and I loved the underlying sexual tension between Severus and Moira while they are on the hunt for answers. It’s been a long find since a paranormal series has sucked me in and hasn’t let me go! I loved being apart of the journey as Moira discovers her new abilities and realizes that everything isn’t at bad as she thinks it is. I loved her transformation from the last book.
Can we talk about Severus? He is such a loveable demon. I know, I know but it’s the truth. I loved how he was fighting his feelings for Moira but slowly and surely finds himself falling for this half breed. And he definitely knows how to show his appreciation for Moira in more ways than one.
The last few chapters of this book had me glued to my kindle. I wanted to shake Moira for being this stupid but I had no idea the situation should would get self into would be that bad. I’m really looking forward to seeing what Moira next move will be after this ordeal.
We meet some new characters along the way during the story and I can’t wait to see what they bring to the table. I hope that Alaric and Cordelia get their own story down the road. I would love to read more about them as well! This was a well written and action packed, sexy as sin book that has me dying for more!!
In this second story in the series, the roles of demons and angels are possibly reversed and the love is perhaps found. The story has fairly high heat index, interestingly deep characters, unlikely romance, and suspense. It will keep you reading…
ONE NON-STOP EXPLOSIVE READ!!!
Woah! Ok, I’ve gotten that out of the way so I’m jumping head first in here. I could tell you all about the book, the plot, how awesome I think it is. But you wouldn’t get just how bad ass this one rates on the richter scale. This has everything you want in a read. Yeah, it’s fast paced, smooth flowing and captivating. You want action packed, nerves on edge, heart pumping, adrenaline rush with all the twists, turns and unpredictable surprises? You hit the jackpot. Liz went well beyond entertainment and hit out of this world bad ass. She has taken me from the privacy if my own home and thrust me dead in ground zero. It’s like I’m part of what’s happening and not from the sidelines. If you want something to rock your world. This is what you’very been searching for. Liz has surpassed greatness. She hit phenomenal without so much as breaking a sweat. Liz has set new boundaries for others to follow. One explosive read Liz.
Fan yourself sexy and heart-racing action. Absolutely unputdownable. I thought I’d seen it all in the world of paranormal romance, but Liz Meldon has proven me wrong with The Hunt series. This refreshingly original take on the world of angels and demons makes for a gripping story and this second book in the series is packed full of surprises as Moira’s true self begins to show and Severus finds her impossible to resist. In addition to the many revelations about Moira, we also learn more about several other players in this game as Moira realizes that things aren’t always what they seem and allies can come from unlikely places. With some fascinating characters on both sides and an ever-building tension leading to a hold your breath conclusion, Prey is a great addition to the series. The author does give us a small break with the conclusion of this one in that it’s more open-ended than earth shattering cliffy, but it certainly left this reader chomping at the bit for more. I can’t wait to see what’s next in this world of angels, demons, magic, and mayhem.
