Peter Prince is the sexy king of action movies. He’s hot, funny, smart, and confident. A little arrogant, but I can deal with that. And for the next several weeks, our full-time job is falling in love on camera.Pretending to flirt, tease, kiss, and ultimately be seduced by him is hardly a chore. In fact, his steely leading man gaze makes it a little too easy. But our sizzling chemistry on and off … our sizzling chemistry on and off the set is about to combust into an inferno of heartbreak, because I’m pretending to be someone I’m not. I’m not Princess Lucia Bergen of Sweden, European royalty and accomplished actress. Not even close.
I just wanted a chance to make my mark and take care of those I love.
I never thought I’d actually get the lead role in a real movie.
I never thought the sexiest man alive would invite me on a romantic world tour in his private jet.
If he finds out that I’m not really who I say I am, but just Lucy Bergen, a regular girl whose life is a complete mess, this fairy tale I’ve stumbled into won’t have a happily ever after…
‘Pretending To Be Us’ is a sweet and sexy romance featuring a smoking hot action movie hero and a quirky girl next door on a secret filled road to happily ever after. It stands alone with no cheating, cliffhangers, or nonsense.

I was disappointed with this book on so many levels. I have been a fan of Taylor Holloway, not the type that I have to run and get a book from, but good enough that I want to know what happens, especially with this series since I have read it from the very first book. So here I see this one and got a little excited since I can continue to know what it going on. However this didn’t work for me and for the series, Here is this person Lucy who fakes who she is, and I would have been ok with that had she not started having a real relationship with Peter, and having a sexual relationship with him..Killed it, and I also do not like BDSM, I tend to just pass all of that and I did with this one to, but it irked me that she didn’t fess up.

Lucy wants to be an actress but is working behind the scenes. She impersonates Princess Lucia to get a role in a movie and actually gets the part. Now she has to pretend she is someone else while playing this part. Her gorgeous leading man, Peter, is sexy and experienced. And as they act together, the chemistry builds between these two. But how does she tell Peter the truth when he thinks he is in love with a princess. Enjoyable story with insecurities, a little drama, a few twists and lots of sexy interactions.

Peter is a popular action movie actor and he is wanting to start doing some romance movies. Lucy is his leading lady in his new film and she excited about working with him. However Lucy lied in order to be cast in the film but she did it because she was struggling to support her family. As time went by Peter and Lucy started growing closer to each other. What will Peter do when he learns about Lucy’s deception? Can they find a way to move forward together?
This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning to end. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

An enjoyable and exciting book 10 in the Lone Star Lovers series. It is well written, well developed, fast pace, engaging, funny, emotionally deep, and steamy. There is drama, lies, ups and downs, and more guaranteed to pull you in from the first page. The characters are likeable with amazing chemistry between them. Definitely recommended!

I have always loved the writing style of Ms. Taylor Holloway, however, there is just something about this release that just drew me right in, which I expected. What I certainly did not expect, was for it to touch my heart in a truly unexplainable way.
Imagine being someone you are not, because you are being made to. Stressful? Unfair? Are you intrigued yet? How about an A-list Actor and a pretend Princess? I found this storyline to be wonderfully crafted and the characters of Lucy & Peter to be beyond impressive. Pretending to Be Us is a must read publication, in my opinion. From cover to cover, this release is filled with twists & turns, it is a steamy & dramatic must read romance.
I was beyond fortunate to have requested an advanced reader’s copy of Pretending to Be Us in exchange for my honest and voluntarily given opinion.
The relationship between Peter and Lucy is very well developed and interesting.
The plot is definitely well developed and a page turner.

This was a sensationally heartwarming new book in the Lone Star Lovers series by Taylor Holloway. Peter is a famous actor who is known for his action movie roles but is branching out into romantic dramas. Lucy is struggling to make ends meet to provide for her family and aspires to be an actress. When a lie to land a leading role acting along side Peter is blown out of proportion will Peter and Lucy find a way to get back the happiness they found or will the lie tear them apart? Pretending to be Us is a beautifully well written story filled with humorous wit, secrets, healing, forgiveness, friendship, passion, and love. I absolutely loved this new story and I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

For the love of Hollywood
In Hollywood it’s sometimes impossible to tell what’s real and what’s make-believe. Lucy is a good example. She is forced to pretend that she is someone else to get a part in a movie. Her attraction to her leading man, Peter, makes it tough to keep the pretense up. What will happen when the truth comes out? This is a wonderful addition to the series.

It’s like a Cinderella story. Lucy pretends to be a Swedish princess to get hired as an actress for a new movie starring the hunk Peter Prince. The chemistry between the two is hot but what will Peter do when he finds out the truth.? I loved the storyline ! The movie they are making is based on characters in a earlier book.

This is the ninth or tenth of the Lone Star Lovers series I have read and loved! This time the setting is a sound stage duplicate of the Lone Star lounge where it all started in Austin, Texas. Emma, then working part time there for the ex-NFL player/owner, as she worked on her English degree is now writing the script from her novel to produce a film essentially retelling their love story. Ian’s wife, Vanessa, is directing. They have a star, Peter Prince, to play the lead, and his rich father to finance and distribute the movie. The problem is finding an appropriate female lead. Then. in desperation, the producer puts her assistant up as a Swedish princess to be the last to audition and is angered when the part she hoped to get for herself is won by Lucy. Lucy keeps up her pretense as princess since Peter’s father is taken by royalty and Peter is falling for his co-star. This book has Lucy barely supporting her mother and grandmother, who are given eviction notice while Lucy’s father has flown the crew to France. Somebody has made all the cameras nonfunctional and has laid a plan to get Lucy fired and stranded in France. I think this book is as good as the other stories in the series and recommend it.
I love Taylor’s books and this is no exception! It took a little bit to get into it, but once I did I couldn’t put is down. The chemistry between them goes past the movie set and I really liked the story line with fake identities, the conniving movie producer and tons of twists and turns!
Good romance, quite unpredictable
4,5
It’s a good romance because it’s quite unpredictable, it’s well written, with good characters, and the fact that the secret of the heroine is revealed in the middle, leaves time for other twists in the story.
It’s a very good story about fake characters inside the Hollywood world in which the stabs create here an ubuesque situation of a woman, Lucy, who wants to become an actress and who has to pretend the be a princess actress who auditions for the main role in a film, following the manipulation of her former boss. This situation places her in a position where although attracted by her play partner and famous actor, Peter, she has to continue to lie permanently, under the threat of her former boss who wants to take her place and the power over the production of the movie.

I really enjoyed this book. It’s probably one of my favorites from this author.
The well written storyline and the well detailed characters made this book a very enjoyable read! I look forward to reading more from this author!
I love Hollywood romances and I have loved this series so far. I have not read every story in the series but this one brings the series to the beginning, book one of the Lone Star Series we met Wade and Emma in Admit You Want Me and in this book Emma’s book is being made into a movie and this romance is between the stars of that movie.
Lucy is the female casted lead and Peter Prince, who is a popular movie star is cast as the male lead. Meanwhile we have the evil producer Darcy, who made everyone think Lucy was this swedish princess and Lucy keeps trying to make everyone believe she is a princess, while ducking evil Darcy and flirting with Peter.
Itsa bit of a farce in relation to the whole Hollywood Prince/Princess thing and also in relation to the romance between Peter and Lucy. Meanwhile Lucy is broke and desperately needs to money for her family.
I LOVE this series and we get some cameo mentions and appearances from characters from other books so I really liked that. But I also kinda hated Darcy, and I didn’t like how Lucy was pretending to be this princess when she would have prob had the acting job anyways with or without being a princess.
Its prob not my favorite in the series, but I did enjoy it and it had its crazy moments that I enjoyed.
