“Sweet, funny and off the charts chemistry!” –Sassy Southern Book Blog Fake relationship small town romanceI’ve gotten into my fair share of awkward situations… Although, asking a random stranger to be my fake boyfriend is by far the worst. In my defense, it was an act of desperation. An act I hope will keep away the men in town who see me as their ticket to becoming the mayor’s son-in-law.But … the mayor’s son-in-law.
But I have a plan.
1. Date my fake boyfriend long enough for the news to spread across town.
2. Have a very public breakup that leaves me too heartbroken to move on.
3. Continue living my happily single life.
There’s only one problem… Harris wasn’t supposed to be the kind of man I’ve always wanted.
There’s no denying the sparks that fly between us. Just when I’m about to give him my heart, he does the one thing I can’t forgive.
Our breakup is public all right, and the heartbreak is real.

This was my favourite from this series to date. It was entertaining and I loved watching this fake relationship play out. The flirting and banter between Poppy and Harris is amusing to watch and their chemistry was electric. I loved these two together. Harris is determined to make what they have real.
This small town love with its hart warming characters will draw you in from start to finish. Harrison and Poppy are captivated with each other the moment they lay eyes on each other. Poppy needs a fake boyfriend and Harrison fits the bill but these two connect on so any levels. Will this pretend relationship become the real deal for these two? It is a refreshing story about young love and will have you cheering for Poppy and Harrison.

An absolutely amazing read. I couldn’t stop reading this book. I had to know what happened.
Love Harris and Poppy’s story. Love how the sparks fly from their first meeting. Love how they love each other for who they are and not what they are.
Pretend You’re Mine: A fake relationship romance is book #3 in the Love in Everton Series. So I missed reading the first book Write You a Love Song in the Love in Everton Series. And started with the second book Roping Your Heart and was Lia Montgomery and Axel Bentley’s story.
Pretend You’re Mine is Poppy Powell and Harris Miller’s story.
Poppy and Harris meet when he ends up rescuing her from a man that wants a relationship the Mayor’s daughter, Poppy. and she doesn’t want one with him. So, Poppy walks up to Harris like they have been dating already and they don’t even know each other. Thankfully Harris plays along with Poppy!
Harris is Everton’s newest resident and he gets himself wrangled into a pretend relationship with Poppy.
Harris is a sweetheart of a guy! I love these small town romances! 4.5 stars for Poppy and Harris’ story!
Poppy and Harris’ story is perfect! And SOOOO not what you’d expect but that’s what makes it even better!
While this is the 3rd in the series, you do not need to read the other 2 books in order to read this one. I love this town of Everton though and if you like small towns, Everton is the place for you! And I love a small town romance so I am all about Everton!
Poppy is being hit on by someone creepy and he is just not getting the hint. So she makes up a boyfriend and thankfully, Harris just happens to be in the store. They’ve never met before but he’s her pretend boyfriend now. Which seriously, if I was ever to do that, it would NEVER work out.
Poppy and Harris are a joy to read. They aren’t what you expect but they are truly a great couple.
Can’t wait for Averly’s story now…
Sweet romance!
Sweet romance! Harris and poppy are so cute with one another! And I Loved the camaraderie of the entire town too! Great job. Can’t wait to read more in the series
Small-town romance are like my bread and butter, so that is why I get excited when a new book is released from this series. The meeting between Poppy and Harris is unconventional, but sweet. I love sweet romance, and this one was a slow-burn where you could feel it rise and rise and rise…and finally! Harris is a book boyfriend that I would so go for IRL and Poppy seems like she could be a bestie, so of course I would ship that relationship! Hoppy (or I prefer Happy) all the way!
This is the third book in the series, Harris and Poppy’s story. Poppy needs a “fake” boyfriend and Harris is a perfect choice. They have an instant connection and off the chart chemistry. It didn’t take long to fall in love with them. I loved catching up with everyone from previous books. I wish I could have given this book more than five stars. This is a must read and I highly recommend the book and the series.
We are back in Everton with Poppy (the mayor’s daughter) story. Everton is your typical small town with lots of talk and nosey busy bodies in everyone’s business. Poppy is thirty, single and is rarely seen with a man. She refuses to date anyone from her little town. Harris is Everton’s newest resident and is surprised when a beautiful woman proposes a fake relationship. He plays along with her plan but soon realizes he wants something real with Poppy. Now he needs to convince her to give them a chance at something real.
Their flirting and banter is addictive and so involving. Fabiola Francisco has done a fabulous job in writing small town life and the good and bad that comes with it. The writing is on point with the development of the story and characters. We are reunited with other characters from previous books in this series(which I loved) but Pretend You’re Mine can be read as a standalone.
It was a really good pretending story that grew into something more, I loved the character development and how the story flowed until the very end, I can’t wait for the next book!
Harris and Poppy are match made in heaven. They hit it off right from the start and their transition from friends to something more was filled with laughter and happiness.
I was swooning half of the boom because Harris was the perfect book-boyfriend… “Babe, I want to make love to you, hold you, make you completely mine, but I don’t need to have sex with you to know that you’re my forever.” …I mean come on, right?!?!
This book is my favourite in the series so far. And now I can’t wait to see who will be coming on top between Averly and Eli. So excited for their book.

Harris and Poppy
I absolutely loved reading Pretend You’re Mine. Harris and Poppy do not have the traditional way of starting out but it is one that works. They have an attraction and I loved reading how they get to know one another. The dates are so perfect. Watching the chemistry grow between them, seeing them grow attached and fall for each other was wonderful. The flirty banter, the silliness made me swoon and laugh. Beef Jerky will always remind me of these two from here on out. If you love small town romance, even a fake on, I recommend highly that you read Pretend You’re Mine.
” Everton puts life into perspective. It slows down and gives me the chance to appreciate other things.”
” The Jerky? you moved here for work and jerky?”
“spending time with Harris simply puts me at ease.”
4 STARS
This is definitely a MUST read small town romance. It was entertaining seeing how Harris and Poppy learned to navigate their relationship, especially under the circumstances in which it began. Overall, this story is sweet and you’ll fall in love with Everton as well as its residents.
This is the third book in the Love in Everton series, but can be read as a standalone and I highly recommend reading it. Pretend You’re Mine by Fabiola Francisco will join the ranks of the BILIO-ELITE!!!
“Pretend You’re Mine” was my first book by Fabiola Francisco and I can say with complete certainty that it will not be my last! I’m a huge fan of small town romances and on the fence when it comes to fake boyfriends, but this book made me a believer. I absolutely loved reading Harris and Poppy’s love story. Out of desperation, Poppy latches on to the sexy man buying jerky to ward off an unwanted suitor. Harris clueing into her desperation, plays the part beautifully. However, this being a small town and her being the mayor’s daughter forces them to fake it for longer than they anticipated. Unbeknownst to either of them they both start developing feelings for one another and faking it just isn’t going to cut it. They give into their growing feelings and work towards their much deserved happily ever after. A fantastic love story made even better by the secondary characters in the book. TBR this great read and if you’re like me and you haven’t read the other books in this series, you’ll TBR those as well.

I love this series
This one was a bit sweeter than the previous two but packed a wallop of feels
I wasn’t sure if I wanted to laugh or cringe or cuddle.
Poppy is the “it girl” – Not by choice trust in that – just unlucky enough to be the town’s gossip project. She decided long ago that the only sacrifices she would be willingly making were for her parents and that did not include engaging on an intimate level with any of the currently available Everton bachelors (not that I can blame her). In a desperate moment hoping to avoid the slimy clutches of Patrick Poppy grabs the closest lifeline she can find – anyone has to be better than Patrick right?
Poppy is a mix of people-pleaser and fairy. Something about her just radiates happiness, she’s sprinkling that sparkle everywhere.
Our unsuspecting Harris is immediately drawn into her spell only to find that he enjoys being doused in her verbal spillage and mindful tantrums what he does not like is how the town uses her personal life to fodder their gossip.
Can Poppy and Harris pull this off long enough that she can get a breather?
Will the town gossip mill uncover their little deception?

Drop on by the cafe grab a cup of Joe and gather a listen
I enjoy this cast immensely. The way each of them is a part of the overall story line and cast in each episode. The strong sense of family and friendship that is displayed in each release. The feels.
It is a bit like coming home each time I venture into Everton.
Sweet, funny and off the charts chemistry! Those are the words I think of when I finished this story! Right from the very start this book pulled me in and didn’t let me go. I am loving all of these characters and getting Poppy’s story did not disappoint.
Even though this book is part of a series you are easily able to read this as a stand alone. However, if you have the chance I highly recommend reading them in order so that you get the most out of what is going on and who all of the other characters are.
Poppy and Harris were amazing! I loved the instant chemistry that the two had together, even though they were only pretending to date. Poppy took a chance when she saw Harris in the store and thankfully he came to her rescue when she needed him to help her ward off the annoying guy in town that won’t leave her alone.
Of course, what would a great story be with out a little drama to mix things up, and believe me, this story has some of that as well. My heart broke for Poppy and Harris as well and I was dying to know how things were going to work out between the two of them.
Another must read book for sure! I can’t wait to get my hands on the next one in the series!
It all starts with Poppy, in the grocery store and trying to avoid one of the town douchebags, accosting a handsome male and asking him to go along with pretending to be her boyfriend. Poppy would never date someone local, being the mayors daughter, she knew none of them were genuine and only wanted to date her to improve their own standing..
Harris is new to town, and happily plays along, even agreeing to keep it going for 2 or 3 weeks, there is just something about Poppy he finds difficult to resist!
I liked Harris from previous books in this series, but holy wow, he really did come into his own in this book!! Romantic swoonfest !! He’s the perfect book boyfriend in all ways, supportive, considerate and protective. After all hanging out with a beautiful girl was no hardship right? This Romance is a little slow burn, but don’t be mistaken that that means Slow!! I devoured each page, as this couple grew from strangers to friends, all the while hiding their attraction and growing feelings, pretending to be cool with each other. The natural way they grew just made them feel so real. They take us on a journey that will have you shouting one minute and in a jelly puddle the next. It’s not always easy to emotionally connect with characters, but this author makes it easy and totally engaging. Can two strangers, with a little white lie between them actually fall in Love? GRAB THE BOOK!!!!
I loved this book! Poppy cracks me up with her quirky ways and spur of the moment making Harris her fake boyfriend. Harris the poor unsuspecting guy takes being the fake boyfriend in stride and is swoon worthy from the beginning.
I loved reading about the relationship blossom from being fake to them falling in love. I was cheering them on and yelling at them different times in the book but they couldn’t have been more perfect for each other. As this was my first book I read by Fabiola Fransisco I now am going to read the other Everton books because I have to know all their stories.
Pretend You’re Mine is the perfect addition to this series. Harris and Poppy are perfection and are a fake relationship come true. The sparks between the two start flying from the moment their eyes meet. As much as they keep telling themselves and their close friends it’s all a ruse the more they fall for each other. Harris is a true gentleman and if I could pull a book boyfriend out of a book, it would be him. This story is a slow burn, leaving you wanting more of Harris and Poppy.
I love getting a glimpse into the lives of previous characters like Knox and Ainsley, and Axel and Lia. And best yet is seeing the beginning of Averly and Eli.
This can be read as a standalone, but you won’t want to miss out on the first two books featuring the Bentley brother Knox (Write You A Love Song) and Axel (Roping Your Heart).
