I’m a twenty-two-year-old virgin. Tonight that changes. I thought my first time had to be magical. The perfect date. The perfect place. The perfect guy. I thought I wanted to be in love. But now, I’m desperate. I’ll take any guy as long as he’s decent looking and treats me well, at least for the night. Turns out Mr. Perfect isn’t so hard to find. He’s hot, dreamy, and filthy rich. And he wants … me. Sex with him is going to be better than I ever imagined. He’s going to ruin me for all other guys. I know that it is just for one night, but it doesn’t matter. I’m happy to get my perfect night. One night isn’t enough, for either of us. Because Mr. Perfect just fake proposed to me. And he wants this proposal to last a lot longer than one night. Will you pretend to be my wife?
This is a standalone romance.

It’s a stand-alone.
Larkyn is a 22 VCard who’s Goldilocks just hasn’t worked out, so she’d settle for any one that’s just ok.
Kade is the older brother of one of her classmates. He’s wealthy and only does one nighters with LA girls. No SB girls. They want the ring and the money.
So Larkyn and Kade do shade or in this case fake to deter the whole SB scene.
Larkyn and Kade interesting characters.
I wonder why the young want to grow up so early and thinking that just because they have not had sex it is a bad thing. The lady in this story is 22 and maybe in today’s standards it is a bad thing she is a virgin, but waiting for the right one just maybe is better. Larkyn and her friend Serena go to a party and the next thing she knows she is meeting Kade and at a very interesting time at the party too. The action just keeps on coming. It was an interesting and entertaining piece and I liked the ending. These two go back and forth with a lot of drama and believe it I have seen relationships just like this one-so a bit realism in it too. I hope you pick this one up I think you will enjoy it. A couple is looking for a mutual relationship without any depth of commitment No promises of love or true commitment as Larken agrees to marry Kade because she needs some sense of stability, and she wants to escape the incessant pressure to “make something of herself” as dictated by her oppressive father. Kade is tired of the constant pressures from his peers to find the perfect woman who can provide him with an heir, thereby insuring the baby momma will receive a substantial compensation as the mother of Kade’s child. Kade will have nothing to do with it, which makes Larken his perfect bride because she doesn’t seek to trap him, and appears to give less than a damn about his wealth. They promise to keep their relationship mutually beneficial, without any cause for marital discrepancy.

A cute story that had me smiling as I read, Larkyn and Kade despite everything where just meant to be together. This is a new Author to me. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
From the start i thought this book was going to be a romantic comedy. Which i didnt mind reading because i like them but what i didnt expect was the story was less one-dimensional. It has back-stories for both the main characters Larkyn (FMC) and Kade. Ones that made them less likely to trust each other as well as others. Still i couldnt help but like them both and their fake relationship with each other. Plus i wanted them to get or should i say in their case stay together . I loved it
Kade and Larkyn may end up driving you crazy, but the story along the way is a fun read. Larkyn, after a lackluster four years of dating, is set on losing her virginity before her college graduation. Love and romance are no longer important – she just needs to get this over with.
Kade King doesn’t have time for romance with running the family businesses and dealing with his younger brother. But when the aggressive women who want to snag Kade for his wealth and prestige get to be too much, he enlists Larkyn’s help by entering into a fake marriage. Although their chemistry is powerful, neither of them know how to communicate with each other and deal with feelings. Will they figure it out? Or will it run its course and come to an end?
Larkyn is looking to lose her virginity after twenty-two years. She has decided to forgo the pressure of the perfect date, perfect evening and the fairy tale story. She just wants someone to get the job done. This story zigs and zags a little and takes you off in a direction that you may not be expecting. But each twist brings you to a better understanding of the characters and the journey they are on. Enjoy!

Excellent simple romance, but exciting one
4.5
Beautiful story, rather tender and sometimes torrid, about a false relationship but which is not really one either because the marriage is real. The characters are excellent, with a complex past. They are attracted, but they must absolutely get out of it to hate each other and to not love each other despite this strong attraction. This role belongs to Kade, who is the one who is most anxious not to have any more pretenders, but at the same time, it is impossible for him not to want to protect Larkin from her unbearable family, especially after what his family did to her too.
I really liked the start which is quite unpredictable between them.

Pretend I’m Yours by Ella Miles is the story of Larkyn Day and Kade King.
Larkyn was adopted to a family that isn’t very good With just a month left of college she wants to loose her virginity. Serena, who is her friend has suggested sneaking into Sebastian King’s party. There she catches his eye but then his older brother Kade breaks things up. This leads to her leaving but then gets hurts which Kade feelings somewhat responsible for. Kade offers his help and with it a marriage of convenience for about a year where neither are to fall in love with the other. Kade grew up in an abusive home until he was left with just he younger brother. So attachment are not for him but there is something about Larkyn that draws him to her. Enjoyed their story.
Larkyn met Kade when she was trying to get his brother into bed. But Kade and Larkyn’s chemistry is explosive. This is definitely one of the better fake marriage books I’ve read. Good story with strong and well developed characters. Good read!

This is a fast paced read that you can’t put down. The pages just flow. Kade and Larkyn. They meet under unusual circumstances and then the story goes from there. The characters are fantastic and the fake marriage might have started fake but turns real. I think that Kade started really liking Larkyn when they were at her graduation party and he saw how her family treated her plus he couldn’t buy her off. Sign a contract and after one year they agreed to end the fake marriage but then the fun really begins. They have misunderstandings, unexpected surprises with some twists and turns. I’m so glad they got their HEA. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Kade And Larkyn’s Story Has It All – Great Tension, Steamy Scenes, First Time, A Fake Marriage, Family Drama, And A Little Suspense!
Larkyn Day, twenty-two, is hoping to lose her virginity before graduating from UC Santa Barbara in a month. Her dreams of love and romance are over after her four years of dating produce nothing. Now she just wants to do the deed and get it over with. To that end, her bestie helps her sneak into the most exclusive party of the year, hosted by the most popular guy in their class, Sebastian King. Larkyn dresses up in hopes of blending in with the uber-wealthy in attendance. Never did she imagine that Sebastian himself would decide to make her his flavor du jour.
Kade King, roughly twenty-five, has one rule: never sleep with women from Santa Barbara. He graduated from Stanford four years ago, then took over running the family businesses he inherited. He is loaded, which means the stealthy single women of Santa Barbara want two things from him: a ring and an heir. They aren’t terribly subtle about it, and he isn’t interested in either. L.A. women are more understanding of his one date limit. Even if he he did do love, Kade doesnt have the time. He is too busy working nonstop or digging his younger brother Sebastian out of more trouble.
When Larkyn’s latest attempt to lose it fails, she blames Sebastian’s dark and mysterious brother Kade. She hates both King brothers. But as fate would have it, she later encounters Kade and reluctantly accepts that he is a nice person after all. Before she knows it, they become friends and he agrees to be her fake date at a dreaded family party. They soon after find themselves leaping into a fake marriage. Kade needs a layer of protection from the aggressive women of Santa Barbara, and Larkyn, who rejects financial assistance, would benefit greatly from the protection and respect that Kade’s last name provides.
Kade and Larkyn have wonderful chemistry together. They each have a past that trips them up with relationships, so as feelings begin to get real, they fail to effectively communicate about their changing circumstances. Kade is emotionally blocked and living in the past, while Larkyn’s fierce stubbornness helps her to stand strong.
Kade and Larkyn’s story has it all – great tension, steamy scenes, first time, a fake marriage, family drama, and a little suspense. The story is nicely written with only an occasional error. The plot is complex. The main characters are well-defined. They feel real. The supporting characters play very minor rolls and are thus more flat, which might be expected due to the length. The POV alternates between Kade and Larkyn. I rate this book four stars.

Great plot and characters for this book. Enjoyed the witty banter between Larkyn and Kade, the chemistry was fantastic, not to mention all the caring things they did for one another. Liked the dual POV, which gave you the complete storyline and all their backstory so you could fully understand these characters. Loved the ending which wrapped up all the aspects for Larkyn and Kade to progress in their lives together.

4 1/2 Stars
4 1/2 Stars!!
Everything about Larkyn’s past and present was a painful testament to her strength. Browbeaten, ridiculed, embarrassed, and humiliated by her cruel sister, controlling heartless father, and uncaring mother, Larkyn’s homelife was abysmally lacking.
Her horrible experience with Sebastian King that ended with her in the hospital, broken and bruised was nightmarish. Still, stubborn and proud, she refused the help of Kade King, the elder brother to Sebastian when he tried to right the wrongs of his younger irresponsible brother.
The fake relationship was a means to protect Larkyn from her rich sadistic family, but the ruse took on a life of its own as Kade was determined to protect Larkyn.
I liked the way Kade fell for Larkyn, but I didn’t like the twisted real but fake relationship they had. Pretty fantastic in the way they related to each other and had true connection and chemistry. The games they played with each other to protect themselves were frustrating though. So much more hurt for Larkyn to bear with Kade not quite getting what she really needed.
Loved the way the author wove this tale with easy to follow dialogue that developed the main couple well. Some drama with a clinging ex who refused to give up on Kade, and not enough pain for her awful family (I’m a bit more bloodthirsty than the author), but all in all a very satisfying HEA for this worthy couple.

Pretend I’m Yours. came out years ago and I just so happen to read the book back then. It was a good book and I’m glad I had a chance to read it again. The characters were a delight to fellow and see what could become of a fake relationship. The spin of the story was easy to fellow and dived into what happens when two people are really met for each other.

She’s brilliant and about to graduate from college. Her father doesn’t support her.
He’s a billionaire and they meet the first time at his brother’s party. She was hit by drunk driver and is the hospital. It was his brother who cause accident.
A mix of drama, secrets, love, protectiveness and emotional rollercoaster. It has some twists in it. A sweet and steamy novel.
Kade feels protective and offers Larkyn $1million for fake arrangement.
Why? Enjoy reading, it’s entertaining.

I loved every page of this story! The characters are like able, charming , broken and relatable. They embark on a contractual marriage with sizzling chemistry between them, but not a whole lot more to begin with. Their banter and playfulness is endearing and it’s such an enjoyable read to watch their relationship grow and their broken pasts fade with their love.

I can’t quite decide if this book is friends or enemies to lovers. Larkyn and Kade spend half their time trying to convince everyone else they’re madly in love with one another and the other half trying to convince each other they aren’t. it’s got all kinds of cute, sweet, and fun moments, as well as some deliciously hot ones. Unfortunately, there are also those moments where I want to take our hero and heroine and shake some sense into them. No matter how frustrated I got with them, I loved every minute I got to spend in their world.
