I’m a twenty-two-year-old virgin. Tonight that changes. I thought my first time had to be magical. The perfect date. The perfect place. The perfect guy. I thought I wanted to be in love. But now, I’m desperate. I’ll take any guy as long as he’s decent looking and treats me well, at least for the night. Turns out Mr. Perfect isn’t so hard to find. He’s hot, dreamy, and filthy rich. And he wants … me. Sex with him is going to be better than I ever imagined. He’s going to ruin me for all other guys. I know that it is just for one night, but it doesn’t matter. I’m happy to get my perfect night. One night isn’t enough, for either of us. Because Mr. Perfect just fake proposed to me. And he wants this proposal to last a lot longer than one night. Will you pretend to be my wife?
This is a standalone romance.

Pretend I’m Yours by Ella Miles is a fake marriage romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Addison Barnes and Jason Clarke.
I absolutely love Ella’s books! I swear each one just keeps getting better and better. I was pulled in from the very beginning and I couldn’t wait and see what would happen between Kade and Larkyn. I cannot wait for the next book in the series Pretend We’re Over to be released on audio so I can get Sebastian and Millie’s story.
Addison and Jason did an amazing job on the narration. They really brought the story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.
I would highly recommend this book if you love fake marriage romance or contemporary romance.
Great read, couldn’t put it down
Kade meets Larkyn while she is trying to lose her virginity to his younger brother, and is instantly attracted to her. He asks her to fake marry him so she can keep all the gold diggers away.
Kade has had a tough past and finds it hard to trust anyone. He definitely does not trust any women. He doesn’t want a committed relationship, and thinks this is the perfect plan.
Larkyn doesn’t get along with her family, and just wants to live independently. She is afraid that their arrangement is going to cause her to fall in love, even though it is supposed to be sex only.
The chemistry between the two is hot, the sex scenes are fire.
I recommend this book to anyone who wants a fake marriage with lots of drama.
Love love love wonderful characters and a very interesting story about these 2 lovebirds who pretend to be together so that he doesn’t deal with gold diggers and she can show her family that someone does love her no matter what.
Pretend I’m Yours is a slow burn love story. You start out with a gal on a mission to loose the V card and ends up on a wild ride into love. I liked the characters and development of the younger brother. I felt the injuries the main character sustained healed a little too quickly for a real world feel. Other than that, I enjoyed the book and story line. It is a quick, easy read. Looking forward to seeing how Sebastian turns out in the next book!
4.5 stars — Kade is an idiot and Larkyn definitely has her moments but when the chips are down, they are there for each other. I really liked this story. When they aren’t intentionally driving each other crazy, they are sweet, loving, fierce, loyal, and a tad bit possessive. Hehehe…. A Little extra at the end would have been nice but that’s my own greed. With any luck, Sebastian’s story will visit these two a bit more. *fingers crossed*
Loved this book.
Larkin was a very strong female lead… loved her attitude.
Sebastian was supposed to be the bad boy but I thought he was a sweetheart and couldn’t help but love him.
Loved the way this story played out.
Couldn’t put it down… a definite must read.
I was given an ARC but voluntarily chose to review
This story has lots to choose from: fake marriage (kind of), history of abuse, overcoming addiction, steamy scenes, virginity (kind of), suspense, forgiveness and love.
This story starts at a party where Larkyn came with a friend to lose her virginity. She just wants to get this over with and move on with her life of soon graduating. Where she runs into the party host and all around Mr. popular and rich Sebastian King. She winds up being his date for the evening and things progress fr there. Things are interrupted by his older brother Kade and she heads off home on foot.
Kade came into this story as the older brother/father figure to the party boy Sebastian who runs all the family businesses and cleans up his messes. He keeps relationships to a non existent point and a one a done frame of mind to avoid being trapped by a conned marriage and baby to steal the family name and fortune. He seems jaded and cocky until people hear his name and their eyes flash $$ and they throw themselves at him or try to con him into believing he knocked them up.
After leaving the party a tragic accident entwines all three of them together and Larkyn and Kade develop a contractual agreement. He agrees to play fake boyfriend to a family party which quickly escalated to engaged when Kade tries to out do her evil sister Anastasia. Then he thinks this is the best plan available. The ‘fake marriage’ (really married minus feelings —sort of) gives him a layer of protection from the aggressive women who would try to manipulate him for his name and money And Larkyn, who hates being dependent on anyone for money or any means, would benefits from the protection and respect that Kade’s last name provides.
They have killer chemistry and after learning about her tragic past they soon develop quite the friendship with all the steamy benefits of being married. Kade has suffered emotional and physical abuse at the hands of his father and doesn’t trust himself to not hurt or deserve Larkyn and tries to maintain distance and make her hate him and not fall in love with him as she so specified by being an ass and pushing her buttons.
She soon finds herself in a difficult situation and breaks things off and he allows it and they go their separate ways until he files for divorce. Many twists and turns. But I was definitely rooting for them because they just seem to compliment each other. Always love a HEA.
Fake Marriage with a twist
So I really love Ella Miles books and have read, reviewed and own a number of them. But this one just did not completely live up to my expectations. The story-line is the basic fake wedding for money, they then start getting some feelings and now what do they do? There were a few twists on it with some of the character details and backgrounds. But in the end it was the characters that I just could not connect with. I guess I am used to reading women who are written as strong, having a back-bone and can going after what they want by this author and the h was not that way towards the end.
So for me I did not connect with this book but I that is only my opinion. There will be plenty of other people who will love this book and all the more power to them. After all we are all different and sometimes a book and a reader just do not make a happy connection.
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
Extremely entertaining, captivating and interesting sexy read. I could not put it down. Wonderfully written with strong, intriguing characters. I want to read more from this author.

This book is fantastic and brilliantly written with a story line that is flawless, witty, funny, well developed, emotionally deep, and very interesting. The story flows smoothly, is consistent, and moves along at a brisk pace with ups and downs, twists and turns, family drama, and more. Likeable characters; the chemistry between them is undeniable. This book met all of my expectations and then some! A really enjoyable read!

Amazing books. Shows not all woman are gold diggers who really wants true love.
Larkyn is on a mission to lose her virginity so she heads to a party where she meets Kade and one night changes her life forever. Larkyn goes through so much that night but not the way she wanted to. She’s hit by a car goes to the hospital and ends up in a fake marriage. This is an interesting storyline with crazy twists and turns that took me on a roller coaster ride of drama, angst, steam and so much more.
This was just an ok read for which totally surprised me since I usually have a great time reading this author. The storyline started of well with engaging characters. Somewhere by time it got close to the end it went poof. I felt wanting so much more….

Great fake marriage story. Larkyn is done looking for Mr. Right, now she just wants Mr. Right Now but the guy she sets her sights on isn’t the right guy — his brother, Kade, is. Tons of chemistry, great characters and enough twists and turns to keep this story speeding along. You won’t want to put it down. Definitely a “must read”. (I voluntarily reviewed an ARC).
Larkyn is a 22 years old and is still holding onto her v-card and is waiting for the right moment and guy. Kade is 25 years old and runs his family business. After a accident brings them together they both decide to come up with a plan that will benefit them both. But what seems to be fake turns out to be more real than they both realized when they started dating. But will lies, secrets, and broken promises be enough to keep them together or will it tear them apart. Pick up this book and find out what happens with Larkyn and Kade.

4.5 Stars
I really enjoyed this book. I thought it was a beautiful love story. Who would have thought trying not to fall in love would be so hard.
Wow, this is another must read page turner from this talented author. This story is fast paced, and is filled with emotion, angst, secrets, love, a fake marriage, and romance. This is an awesome story, which had me totally intrigued and captivated throughout. I highly recommend this authors’ work for all reads, as you will never be disappointed! Brilliant work Ella!!
Two people deeply attracted to each other and determined not to risk their heart!

Ella’s books never disappoint me and this book is no exception. Larkyn was the adopted daughter of a wealthy man. She had a difficult relationship with her adopted parents because she refused to conform to their views on life. Hardworking and a dedicated student, she had little time for men after a disastrous relationship during her first year in college. When she makes a bad decision to attend a late night party she is involved in an accident that leaves her injured. When she wakes up in hospital she is confronted by the very man she is angry with. Kade wanted to help her after his brother’s car ran her down. Despite his denials he inserts himself into her life and then proceeds to make her his temporary wife. He had yearned to make her life better and spend more time with her, knowing that it can only lead to heartbreak for her if she falls in love with him. I was captivated by Kade’s behaviour as much as I was by Larkyn’s. Two people deeply attracted to each other and determined not to risk their heart only to find it was far too late for that.

It kind of worked the way they wanted it to. Pretense can only work if you don’t want anything to do with that person. She wanted him as soon as she saw him. Just as he did her. He played along until he couldn’t anymore. Good for him. He was finally being honest with her.
