Just that I need the money badly,
Which means I need to find a guy that they approve of.
Lord, have mercy, how do I get a boyfriend now?
Dr. Lincoln Gallagher may be my perfect solution.
I know it’s not a good idea.
- He’s a doctor at my hospital.
- He’s my ex.
- We can’t keep our hands (and mouths) off each other.
- And …he’s the father of the child I’m carrying.
Time to stop pretending, I guess!
This is a full length, standalone romance from my ‘Be My Boyfriend’ series. Each book in the series is a standalone with no cliffhangers and as always, a perfect hea. Enjoy!

Gwen and Linc had virtually grown up together. But his family were very wealthy, unlike her own,and his parents who were cold and unfeeling told him to dump her as she was holding him back!! Poor Linc. Poor Gwen as he was young and intimidated enough to do as they said. But heartbroken Gwen’s luck seemed to have firmly ground to a stop as her dad became very ill,her mum died in an accident and she was dangerously ill herself from the car accident. Now she’s a patient in the hospital where Linc is a doctor and he can’t keep away from her as she fights for her life. Now Linc needs her help and she needs money for support but she can’t work with her disabilities – can they help each other and have a second chance at love? Victoria Snow always brings something ‘that bit extra’ to her stories and this one is no different. The characters are believable and very lovable [well apart from his parents] and I certainly wanted them to get their HEA. Pretend Boyfriend by Victoria Snow features Link, son of wealthy parents who broke up with Gwen during high school at his parent’s insistence, and Gwen, who is emotionally and financially struggling after a car accident that injured her and killed her parents. In order for Gwen to inherit her trust fund from her estranged grandparents, she must have a boyfriend or husband. Link steps in to be her pretend boyfriend even though he still loves her, but will Gwen forgive him? I recommend this dramatic and emotional read.

I really relate to Gwen and Link in Victoria Snow’s Pretend Boyfriend (Be My Boyfriend Book 4). I had my own bad accident awhile ago (literally hit by a truck) and know the trauma experience and the power of love to help heal. Powerful stuff, trust me, but handled well here in a story that is actually outright fun. Kinda cathartic. Well written too, and easy to recommend.
This is a second chance romance that honestly i couldnt get into and i forced myself to continue reading it…about mid book i finally got into the story….i think the reason was that i found the male character Link a bit over the top with his crying and sobbing….dont get me wrong i do get all mushy inside when a man cries but this was a bit too much..
After a fatal accident that took her mother and left Gwen almost blind, deaf and struggling to walk she reunites with her grandparents at a time when she needs financial help..living in a motel because she lost her parents home and living on food stamps the stipend they offer her will come a long way but their is also a dowry that she will get if she marries into a good family.. enter Link her ex boyfriend who left her at the most difficult time in her life…. Link hasnt gotten over the way they parted and wants to redeem himself so he offers to pretend to ne her boyfriend until her grandparents hive her the promised dowry……

Nice second chance romance
Pretend Boyfriend was a nicely written story that is filled with a whole bunch of drama and angst, almost too much. But maybe it was my mood while I was reading this book as the story teetered just shy of the way OTT, eye rolling side of things and instead I found it to be heartbreaking in some areas and then uplifting in others. Both Linc and Gwen were nicely developed characters that has some depth and the backstory of them originally being involved in high school was nice. I enjoyed reading this story by Victoria Snow and would recommend it others. But be warned that you will most likely need some kleenex next to you while you do.
I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
It Grabbed My attention and focus so strong I could not put it down. A word of advice when you get your copy. Grab a snack, a comfy seat, kick back and relax. You will not be moving until you finish this bad boy here. Remarkable job. Thanks for sharing.

This emotionally charged well-written story is a full length, standalone romance from my ‘Be My Boyfriend’ series. This well-crafted book 4 in the series is a standalone that has no cliffhangers. The characters in this book have history that must be worked through due to mistrust and unresolved feelings. All the characters in this book are well-designed with strong motives, you either love them or hate them. This book will make you laugh and cry, but you will not want to put it down until you finish it. This second chance romance has a chance of an HEA between the strong and sassy heroine and the very compassionate hero that has regrets. A must read

Absolutely fantastic! It is a well written second chance romance with a well-developed, consistent, and engaging plot. It is a captivating and emotionally deep read with twists and turns and ups and downs. The characters are likeable and strong; the chemistry between them is steamy and off the charts. This book will hold your interest from beginning to end. Strongly recommended!

This was a fun read. It had banter and a really good story line. The interaction was fun to read about. I loved the HEA and the way that the story ended. The drama in the story was great kept the storyline flowing. The steamy scenes and the pull between them was great. Fake it until it’s real is the kind of saying I’m going with for this story. Defiantly a must test!
What an emotional book!! Lincoln (Linc) and Gwen have been friends since Gwen was in kindergarten. Linc spent a lot of time with Gwen as they grew up because he came from a wealthy family and all his parents cared about were themselves. He craved attention and wanted a real family relationship like Gwen had with her parents. Gwen came from the average family and Linc’s parents looked down on her. As Gwen and Linc grow up they develop a serious relationship in high school. They were crazy in love! As Linc focused on his studies and was excelling his parents started giving him the attention he always longed for. They eventually convinced him to break things off with Gwen. On the day he breaks her heart he doesn’t realize it’s the day she needed him the most, she had just found out her dad was very sick and was going to die. Gwen was devastated and crushed. She hated him for how he done her. Fast forward years and Gwen and her mom are finally taking a trip they had been planning for a long time end up in a horrific accident which leaves her mom dead and Gwen fighting for her life. Gwen was taken to the hospital where Lincoln was on staff as a neurosurgeon. When Linc realized who the Jane Doe was that was brought into the ER he was crushed! Linc stayed behind closed doors forever and watch as Gwen fought her way back. Gwen was left with nothing after the wreck. She lost everything! One day she was approached by her mother’s parents and they informed her of a dowry that was let for her. Well the only way she could get this dowry is if was in a steady and strong relationship. This is where Linc finally makes his presence know in Gwen’s life. Gwen was doing her physical therapy one day and her therapist had already left and Gwen was trying to get up and was losing her balance and Linc rushes in and catches her before she falls.
He offers to take her home and realizes how she’s living and offers her help and a place to stay. Gwen jumps at the opportunity. When Linc hears about the dowry he offers to be her boyfriend so that she can get the money. What will happen when Gwen moves in with Linc? Will their feelings for one another resurfaced? Will Gwen ever be able to forgive Linc for how he broke her heart all those years ago?
Victoria Snow has brought us a story about strength and overcoming obstacles that you’re never meant to overcome! This book was beautifully written, it has its share of sadness, hard times and love. I loved Linc and Gwen’s story! The love they shared was like a once in a lifetime thing. So yes I give it 5 stars because it was so worth it!

I trust the released version contained less flaws…
I actually really enjoyed the story which has been covered by the blurb & previous reviewers. From the tragic deaths of her beloved parents in an accident she barely survived herself, the wounded heroine’s struggles were real & intense. Can the love of a former boyfriend who selfishly broke up with her when he left to pursue his career dreams bring her to a place of mental & physical healing? I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.
An okay story but certain factors seemed antiquated. Gwen and link was a second chance romance story that was a good read but I could not really relate to it. The grandparents were racist and held unto old fashioned beliefs such as a dowry and a mans/woman’s role in society and a marriage. Link’s parents were pretentious, snobby drunks who never paid him any attention. Everything needed to make the story awesome was there but for some reason it didn’t flow well in terms of the characters emotions which fluctuated frequently. I loved that Gwen was highlighted in being a strong, black female despite all the adversity she was faced with especially with no one else to count on for help. I was tickled to read that Link was sort of a goofball and still maintained a nerdy quality. He was aware of his tendency to be snotty because of his upbringing but consciously tried to remember not everyone was as privileged. As a couple they faced trust issues which was the biggest speed bump in their becoming a couple. Rightly warranted as Link had proven previously to have broken Gwen’s trust and faith in any personal relationship.

This was a good read. Poor Gwen my heart went out to her.
This was a good well written story and the characters were both entertaining and enjoyable with the right amount of chemistry and bumps in the storyline

Gwen and Link are high school friends from different sphere of society – he is from a rich family and she is not. Years later she needs to find a boyfreidn and settle down to inherit a fortune. What started out as pretend soon turns to something else. Can this new beginning be what they are looking for?

The main characters, Link and Gwen, reunite after years. They both have very strong feelings for each other but their past gets in the way, making them doubt the other. Both characters are amazing and well written (background, depth). This story is filled with lust, love, emotion (so much emotion/feelings). Beautiful story, Victoria Snow is still one of my favorites.

Pretend Boyfriend is about high school sweethearts getting a second chance at love. Gwen and Link reconnect after years apart when she needed a fake boyfriend and he volunteered. The spark is still there but can they ignite the flame and get their HEA after all they’ve been through.
