One of my favorite authors. Intense and emotional
Wow…just wow!
A story that might begin as “we’ve seen this before” but that’s only the point of departure. Well told, energetic prose, precisely detailed characters each with his or her own designs and ambitions. Absorbing.
Great story. Full of suspense. A real page-turner.
I never miss a Turow book and this one is as good as all of the others.
At the time this was written the plot was intriguing. Well written. I enjoyed it.

This is THE murder mystery novel! Clever, beguiling and gripping, it won’t let you go until the very end. I keep looking for another thriller that does it half as good!
This is probably the best legal thriller I’ve ever read. It captures the legal profession well and tells the tragic toll it can inflict on some. Highly recommended.
