“Full of warmth, understanding of human nature, and great characters. They are connected, following the lives of college friends, and by the time you are finished, you feel as if you are a part of their extended circle. A dash of sex here, but not to the point that it overshadows the well thought out storylines. Definitely a feel good experience.” — 5-star review

NICE LIGHT READING DURING THE PANDEMIC!
This is exactly the type of book I love to get away into. Great characters, great storyline, great characters. Thanks!
I really, really enjoyed this book!
I enjoyed the male character’s persistence and knowing what he wanted.
Enjoyed the story.
Paul and Bette’s characters were beautifully etched in the story. Both seemed real and they were real people whom I could relate to. I liked how two completely different characters were able to come together in the story and the story had enough humour in it to keep me glued to it.
Though the end was expected, I felt completely …
A delightful romantic tale with characters that leap off of the page!
A feel good book.
Bought the series after reading this one
A study in grandparent influence in extremes
Ok, I had to set aside my initial reaction that she could not figure out someone as successful as he is had to have good work ethic. That aside, this is a wonderful study in his and hers developmental reactions to their grandfather’s influences on them. There is some great whimsy in it along with …
This is a lively, lovely romance! I loved all the characters, especially Bette and Paul. The plot and the dialogue were realistic, fun, and even heart wrenching at times. It does have steamy bits.
Liked it a lot so I want to read the rest of the series.
4 stars
I purchased the three book collection The Wedding Series by Patricia McLinn and Prelude to a Wedding was the first book. This review was given freely.
This is a detailed full length novel of rebellion, love, and opposites attracting. The story starts out a little dry and slow featuring structured workaholic business owner Bette and …
This romance was a bit different and I enjoyed that. The characters fell in love over a period of time during which each questioned some of their life assumptions and grew as a result.
Wow!! I thought the character Paul was never going to get it together but he did. The author wrote these characters in a way that was so realistic. Good read!!
Really a Chicago style love story. Unfortunately Marsalis fields is now Macy’s without the walnut room and Franco Mints. But shopping there was much like described in this story, Typical Chicagoans do move to Arizona. I know many. Good research by the author on details.
I really enjoyed this book
A realistic love story. I enjoyed ever page of it. Cheering that they would finally get married.
A great read!
Good lite hearted read.
