Jillian Hart didn’t belong in our world. She was an innocent, blinded to our ways and seduced by the charm of the mafia. I was a capo in the Marchetti Family, groomed to take control one day, and my father was the Boss, the Don. Damon Marchetti was a well-known name in the mafiosi. We never would’ve crossed paths if not for a fender bender with the wrong truck on the expressway. After escorting … escorting her to the emergency room as a precaution, I discovered she had business ties to a rival family. Simply being seen with me put her in jeopardy, so I kept her close for her own safety.
But one thing led to another, and she became more than my charge. I gave her one warning about my life. One chance to decide to stay or leave. She chose to stay.
Until all hell broke loose.
Then I pushed too hard, and my ever-present alter ego took control.
If she thought I gave up easily when the chips were down, she had another warning coming.

Jillian’s simple life takes a turn when she gets side swiped by a dump truck. Who would have thought she would meet her match. But there are so many secrets, can they make it through them? I guess you will have to read it to find out! Or maybe we will have to wait to find out.
New York Mafia…
Yes. Gorgeous Italian men, wonderful food, and a filthy mouth that does amazing things. Yes, please.
A chance meeting turns into too many coincidental things. But no one, and I mean no woman, would give up the chance to be with Damon Marchetti.
This quick (and entirely too short for my greedy hands) novella is just the first part of the story. With guns, goons, and orgasms, what’s not to love!
AD Justice manages to keep you on the edge of your seat and salivating the entire time.
Warning: Part One is set in the mafia world, Damon Marchetti is a Capo, set to take over the family business when his father retires. Besides being an alpha male, confident, sexy, and possessive, he is a very dangerous man, people fear him and will go out of their way not to anger him. Jillian Hart is a consultant for a financial service and knows nothing of the kind of life that Damon lives, but that will soon change, and in a big way. Several times he tries to warn Jillian off, but she doesn’t always listen.
This book takes off from the very first page and had me turning the pages quickly to find out what happens next. It is loaded with suspense, intrigue, action, passion, and family, loads of family. This book should come with a warning that you won’t be able to put it down and that you will fall for the ultimate bad boy.
Now on to part two and after that ending, I am glad I have it ready to read!!
In this one you go in knowing up ahead lies a bad boy ready to eat us up. Damon is gets hit by innocence with Jillian the minute they meet. She sees the inside he hides from the world I think but you also get to see them grow in this. You find out what it means to be involved with him. You are so immersed you do want to slap someone when the drama hits. You scream at them both at the end of this one and want to scream at author.
Be prepared for surprises in the Warning series! An innocent girl falls in love with a demanding, enigmatic man from a mob family… read it, you’ll see!
I was really disappointed in Jillian’s character at the beginning of this book. She was very weak minded and overly damsel-in-distress. It felt very unrealistic that a woman would feel more comfortable staying at a stranger’s house for the night after being shot at rather than her own home. Like a bad car wreck, I couldn’t look away and kept on reading despite my initial disappointment. There were certainly a few twists and turns that I didn’t see coming that made up for the lack of character depth. In the end, Jillian really begins to shine and go toe-to-toe against Mr. Mafia Man and for that, I applaud the author. The books does end on a slight cliffhanger which I am usually not a fan of, but I’m interested enough to read the next book.
KU. 3 stars. Cliffhanger. This is actually a serial of 3 novellas to create one book. At the time of this review they’re all on KU.
Fairly interesting/compelling story. It’s very insta-love, not my fav ~ but I’m enjoying it.
UPDATE: I DNFed at book 2. While this was an intriguing start it goes downhill fast.
