BOOM! Bane does it again!!!
Grabbed me from the first page to the last!
Returning to Hell, Michigan after a 7 year prison sentence, Daniel looks for the reason he’s been called by God to return. While praying for the closure of the local BDSM club, Daniel encounters Nineveh and realizes she is the real reason he’s been called back; to rescue her from an abusive relationship. Daniel and Nineveh’s relationship grows with each encounter while they learn of each other’s world, and you feel the conviction and struggles they both encounter while learning each other and themselves.
In true Bane form, he leaves you wanting more, and I can’t wait for the next installment in this series!!!
Wow! Great, well-written story. Daniel and Nineveh are each interesting characters on their own – put them together and things start to get extremely interesting. The biblical references add a lot to the story, and I love Nineveh’s child-like innocence when it comes to how she thinks of God. It’s clear these two have sizzling chemistry and I can’t wait to see how this all plays out. I’m on the edge of my seat waiting for the next book!
Lucian Bane returns to his roots in erotic romance with Preacher Dom. He brings characters that are both facing challenges in life that the bring them to make hard decisions. Daniel is returning to life outside of prison walls and is guided by his faith and steadfast beliefs in God. Nineveh is trying to escape a life of darkness and depravity, she knows she needs to change but doesn’t know who can guide her.
A chance meeting puts Daniel in Nineveh’s path. Daniel knows in his heart that it is God’s will that he help her find her way. He is determined to make her see the goodness in herself and learn her worth through his kindheartedness and God’s word. Together they become fast friends. Their chemistry is palpable and the slow burn heat is undeniable.
As Nineveh is learning new things, with bible in hand, Daniel has taken to his own research and is trying to understand the pain and pleasure link that Nineveh speaks about. What he finds, stirs something deep inside him; you can sense the palpable chemistry and the slow burn heat.
Master of the cliffhanger, Lucian leaves us praying for more of this delicious romance that is sure to boil over soon!
Wow! This was one intense, hot book! Lucian Bane just keeps me wanting more and more. Daniel a man full of faith, rescues Nineveh from the hell she was enduring for so long. Fantastic, brilliant book. It kept me on the edge of my seat through out! Looking forward to the next adventures of these characters!
Lucian Bane is one of those rare authors that have the talent to be able to draw the reader into the story that he puts to paper and keep them totally awe struck and I am no exception! The story was impeccably written and the characters were so well developed that I was so engrossed as I turned each page! As I turned each page it seemed like Daniel and Nineveh jumped from each page and pulled me right into their story as it flawlessly unfolded! When I think that this author can’t top himself, he proves me wrong time and time again! I highly recommend reading anything that this author writes, you definitely will not be disappointed!
Preacher Dom is a sensationally written story, and it was one long build-up! It is both reverent and irreverent, with Daniel trying to answer the call of God and seeing where it would lead him. On his journey he runs into Nineveh, who calls out to him in a way he’s never felt before, and his need to protect her was swoon-worthy. Daniel and Nineveh both waged such internal wars within themselves, they were like butterflies in their chrysalis stage. And Gramma G, she was an awesome character! I just loved the way this story was woven, so well crafted and provocative! Every chapter stole a little piece of my heart with it, and the end left me holding my breath for more!
Loved it
Daniel and Nineveh’s story grabs you from the beginning. This is such a well written story that I couldn’t put down. Lucian knows how to grab his readers attention. I cannot wait for the next installment of Preacher Dom.
4, 5, 4.5: All ratings apply, because it’s not how you or I expected it to be. I expected it to be kinky right from the beginning. It actually is the kind of book I wish I could write if I were any good at writing fiction – a melding of the devoted Christ believer and the sensual. They don’t happen apart from each other in the real world.
But this is a totally different animal than other books you might have read in the dark/BDSM world of romantic fiction. The style is “off” is all I can say. It’s subtle and underlying the surface story. The last two chapters hint at more to come in book two. You’d have to expect that from a man named Lucian Bane, wouldn’t you?
This is a dark heavy story but so sweet and pure. Lucian only brings out the best of the best. First the depth of describing how the hell on Earth today could and even does look to the possible salvation when there is someone who stops to see it all and do something, help and be there for you, the person who loves and is capable to show you the right path without anything in return.

Loved the book, the story was well written and the characters were intriguing. Once I started I could not get enough, from the start till the end I was engrossed I was even on the edge of my seat with twists and turns, lust and passion, strength happiness and love. The story of sensational feelings that can run through the body while reading. Dark and erotic adrenaline rush just to make you hot and thirsty. Do yourself a favor and buy the book you want be disappointed.

Ninevah’s view of God that was honest and quirky
by sewsummore
This was a quirky story of a womancalled Nineveh, who had lost her way and had falling into a relationship with an evil man who was her Dom. She meets a stranger named Daniel who had just been released from prison. Daniel has an intimate relationship with God and he was praying when they met. When her dom tells her that he has another man who will join him when they scene, she knows that she will never survive his sadistic punishments and runs away only to be found by . Daniel. He helps her by giving her a place to stay and through their conversations he realizes that she needs help to discover God’s plan for her. Though this is a religious story it relates to people in out modern world. Though I am not a religious person I found the story interesting and at times compelling. Nineveh has an interesting view of God and the way she connects with him that was honest and quirky, this astounds Daniel in it’s simplicity.

Preacher Dom is an intriguing story and a definite page turner. I loved the connection Daniel and Nineveh have together. This is my first book by this author and I look forward to reading more books in the future. The writing is interesting, the characters are intriguing and the story is filled with drama, suspense, mystery, angst, pain and so much more.
Wow! This author is becoming one of my favorites of darker reads. He’s new to me and I can’t imagine anyone could be disappointed in reading one of his books. This book is different but so good. Daniel is out of prison after seven years. He has a personal conviction that is admirable. He meets Nineveh and sets his sights as being her savior from evil. Love every aspect of this book!

It is always a surprise starting a book by Lucien Bane and always a good one!
A slow way of two hurt souls finding their path to each other in a place that you don’t really expect.

Unique story that pulls you into the lives of this unlikely duo, Daniel and Nineveh. Daniel has an affinity with God and uses this to help others. He recognizes the abuse Nineveh has endured unwittingly by her Dom. Definitely not your typical BDSM romance. This is my first time reading a creation from this author but won’t be my last; looking forward to reading more from this author.

Daniel was away for seven years for defending a lady from an abusive person. Now he’s back in Hells, Michigan. He gets caught praying walking around the building, Sodem and Gomorrah, many times, wishing it will close. Where he mets Nineveh, who’s in trouble, that needs to get out of her contract with her dom.
Can he get her out of her contract, and that way of life. How far will Daniel go to protect Nineven.

A very different love story
FYI – this is not a stand-alone book. This is book 1 in a series, which I would really have liked to have seen reflected somewhere before I started reading what I thought was a stand-alone. I am not in love with where it ends – in too much of a cliffhanger to make me happy, but I will look for book 2. I don’t know why I keep letting the author do this to me! Probably because I really like his well-written, but different, books. I know when I pick up one of his books that it will be a palate cleanser – not like anyone else’s writing, and most with some supernatural/spiritual bent.
In this book, the male MC is very religious/spiritual and the female MC is totally uneducated in spiritual/religious matters. She is in a bad situation and he rescues her, and it is just a really different book. I’m excited to see where the story goes and how it resolves.
I received this as an ARC and chose to review it.
