His good intentions were lost in her soft curves… cowboy rode in on his horse, upsetting every wall Alaska had ever erected to protect her and her son. Before she knew it, she was Colt-matized.
She’d been told to never look a gift horse in the mouth, but Alaska couldn’t trust anyone. Growing up in foster homes, tossed around like a Hacky Sack from one bad home to another, until she ran away to live on the streets, had taught her a valuable lesson. A gift never came without a price. When given money and a home in the small-town Tarnation, Texas, the opportunity to plant roots for her son is too tempting to resist. She’s willing to take the risk, even if the stipulation is that she must have the rundown B&B up and running within six months.
Both Arc and Alaska have secrets, some more threatening than others. When she’s arrested in the middle of the summer fest with townsfolk watching, things start to unravel, leaving her vulnerable and feeling like the scared, lost kid she thought she’d outgrown. Can love overcome a tragic past? In the end could every path they’ve walked have led them right where they belong, or did Buzz Colt have a surprising intuition?

Loved this story it was great. Arc and Alaska felt a spark when they first met each other. Both had secrets which they were afraid at first to divulge. This story had some twists and turns and kept me in suspense. I enjoyed it very much. Read to find out what happens between these two special people. You will enjoy it.

Once again Buzz Colt gives with a stipulation. What will Alaska do? Arc has a hard time understanding why Buzz gave to Alaska. With time getting to know her help him understand?
Another trip to Tarnation, Texas that has characters who draw you in to their lives and won’t let go until the end.
Rhonda Carver has a way to get you involved in Tarnation that makes you want more.
I love Tarnation, Texas. Being from a small town and surrounded by even smaller towns, I understand the setting very well. The every one knows your business aspect can be annoying as all get out. But the way the town comes and welcomes you into the fold that can be seen often is the part I love the most. I often wish we had more of Tarnation’s views and welcoming all across the country.
Arc was easy to love for me. I don’t know if it was the one liners or the easy southern boy flirtation but regardless I was rooting for him early in the story. For me, likable characters is key. Not having the background that the characters had didn’t keep me from falling and rooting for their success. I will have to say one of the characters said the exact same thing I said last week, I want to be normal. I don’t like to give away a story but I will say this scene in particular tugged on my heart strings.
Would I change anything in the book? Not at all. I loved it and didn’t mind at all staying up late to finish it because I couldn’t put it down. Thank you, Rhonda, for putting a fabulous story line together and sharing your talent.

“Pour Me a Drink” (Tarnation, Texas Book 3) by Rhonda Lee Carver is a great read. I enjoyed Alaska and Arc’s story. This is a wonderful addition to the series, packed with romance, hot cowboys, small-town life, new beginnings, family, humor, entertaining characters, and more. I can’t wait to see what happens next with the Colt brothers and the entertaining citizens of Tarnation, Texas. Highly recommend to all fans of romance, cowboys, small-towns, and series.
Oh! My! Gosh! I really needed a drink after a couple of the scenes with Arc and Alaska. Maybe even a cold shower or a session with my B. O. B.
I loved their spark right from the beginning. I loved their banter and of course the scenes with River. What phenomenal names Rhonda has used. This is an amazing story.
I have to say this is my favorite
book of the series so far, I mean there are still 2 more brothers that have yet to meet their romantic match. I can’t wait to see who and what is coming next with these Colt brothers.
I really think Buzz Colt knew exactly what he was doing, even though it was a little too late.
What is all of my hoopla about you ask?
Take a trip to Tarnation, Texas and read these books in this series. I don’t think you will be disappointed.
