Rhett and Korie are a perfect mixture of sweet, fun, and slightly Insane. I am totally in love with the characters and storyline in this book. Thank you Heather for another amazing book Highly recommended
Fantastically funny with abundant witty banter and off-the-charts chemistry! This rom-com will steal your heart along with this swoony country music star.
The author showcases her talent in this romantic comedy with an original storyline that will leave you completely smitten. Rhett is a super sexy country boy who wants nothing more than to land Korie and her sassy mouth. He’ll pull out all the stops to get the girl. Korie is not going to make it easy!
I just could not get enough of Rhett and Korie. He has all the right moves. She’s full of sass and wants no part of the rockstar lifestyle. But Rhett…he’s all about getting what he wants.
Their first meet up doesn’t go so well, but it’s enough to make Rhett realize that he cannot let her slip through his fingers. A social media post gives him the opportunity to win her over when he finds out she is headed to Camp Pour Judgment for a fun getaway. Rhett is not about to let this opportunity pass him by, so him and his band mates head to camp.
What ensues is absolute fun and total debauchery that will have you laughing-out-loud and wishing you could go to Camp too. Korie is putting up her best fight, but Rhett is wearing her down. And when Camp is over and Rhett puts himself in a position that makes it look to the world as if him and Korie are headed to forever, well that’s just the opening he was looking for.
Korie wants something. Rhett wants Korie. What better way for them both to get what they want then by pretending to be engaged. Rhett’s connections and notoriety are just what Korie needs to chase her dream. Rhett just wants to help Korie live her dream and hopefully win her heart in the process.
I loved this couple so much that I read it twice. And if you know me that is an extremely rare occurrence. The story had such incredible humor that I found myself constantly smiling. It tugged at the heart strings with some emotionally charged moments that will make you shed a tear or two. You will absolutely enjoy every minute of their journey of laughter, tears, frustration and love. Read it! You are going to LOVE them! My only complaint is that I want more! I am not ready to let them go. Here’s to hoping we’ll get more from this crew in future books (hint, hint).
When I read the short story in the Spring Fling Anthology by Ms. Orgeron, I was so intrigued and dying for more to the story. I finally got my wish with Pour Judgement. Sometimes life throws you a curveball. What do you when the loyalty of a friend and the love of your life collide. You never give up until you can get that Disney fairytale ending! Being scarred by past events have a large impact on first impressions and are hard to dissociate. Korie is a spicy pepper that you just can’t seem to resist, no matter how bad you’ll get burned. Rhett has experienced the dangers of being a rock star and is ready to turn his life around. The moment he sees Korie, his mouth goes dry, his heart drops to his stomach, and his eyes show a glowing ring illuminating Korie. He is so completely enraptured with her. He’s the perfect balance of a southern gentleman and a bad boy country singer. I could not get enough of Rhett. He is the ideal book boyfriend, spicy with a cool drink of water on the side to soothe your hormones. The camaraderie between cousins, bandmates, and parents will leave you in stitches. A wonderfully entertaining, get down and dirty read!
I was given a free copy in exchange for my honest review.
Korie and Rhett are absolutely GORGEOUS!!!!!
The banter between them is hilarious!!!! This book was so brilliantly written!!!! Phenomenal five star read!!!!!!
I stayed up way to late to finish this book but have NO regrets! Pour Judgment had me laughing out loud until tears were streaming down my face. Heather’s sense of humor is out of this world and I am not just saying that because she used my Human Hungry Hippos suggestion!!
Korie was doing just fine until she met Rhett. He was everything she never wanted: sweet, sexy and famous. A deadly combination that when combined with a week of alcohol, at camp Pour Judgment, had her giving into temptation and getting more than she bargained for.
With her new “fiancé” by her side, will all her dreams come true or will Rhett crush her like her Dad did to her Mom? Can they figure out how to let go and love before it’s too late?
How could you not fall in love with Rhett and Korie?? They were made for each other! Through the laughter and the tears; they conquer it all! What an amazing couple!!
And The Epilogue…it.was.Everything!!
I loved everything about this book. The story is unique and I want to go to a camp for adults and drink and play games. Rhett and Korie are adorable and the perfect couple. Both have been hurt and when a situation arises and they are forced together, will they stay together or crash and burn. They had me laughing and cursing at them throughout the entire story. If you want a hysterical and different kind of story then add this to your must read list. It’s so darn good that I cannot wait to read this all over again.
Dreams due come true! All I have to say is Stick with Pour Judgment and all is good! Oh my, the antics and chemistry in this story is not only hilarious, but smoking. Korie has goals and that includes not following in her mom’s footsteps. Well you see that is fine and all, but when you go camping in the wild you never know what you may fine. An Ollie perhaps, oh sorry mean Rhett! Haha You will understand once you read the story.
Whether you love country music or not, you will fall in love with this story. Rhett and Korie may have made a bad decision, but in the end, it may be the right decision made. So not all drinking leads to Pour Judgment. Being in that industry isn’t easy and this just shows us how hard an easily things are misconstrued. This is a great read for you to sit with a drink of choice and blanket to cuddle up to enjoy one of the funniest romantic comedies I’ve read in 2019.
Inquiring minds want to know if your muse for the cover is based upon Brett Young cause was, he reminds me of him and if you’re a fan of Thomas Rhett cause I can kinda see some similarities to these two country stars. Love the cover and story either way but had me wondering as I was reading. I loved this story and hope we get to see the secondary characters and Rhett/Korie in the future.
“What happens at Camp Pour Judgment stays at Camp Pour Judgment!”
This is a great tagline. Heather M. Orgeron delivers the comedy mixed in with lots of steamy romance in her newest book. Pour Judgment is another hit in her lineup of great romantic comedies!
Rhett Taylor is a big country music singer and seems to have his pick of women, but in his string of meaningless hookups he has yet to find “the one” that is until he meets Korie Potter.
Korie grew up in the industry, her famous father is the one who actually gave Rhett and his band a start in the industry, but Korie has no patience for the lifestyle that comes along with the price of fame.
Korie saw what fame did to her parents marriage. Her mother was heartbroken over and over again. The infidelity of her father was famous while her mother gave up everything to wait dutifully at home. Korie doesn’t want that for herself and being with a man like Rhett is only setting herself up for heartbreak. She tries to stay away from the sexy rockstar, but saying no and actually following through are two very things.
Rhett can’t stop thinking about Korie and when he finds out she’s attending a singles camp, Camp Pour Judgment, he follows. It’s a week of games, drinking, and consensual hookups and the best part of it all, no electronics are allowed. The possibility of his famous face being leaked are virtually nil. That is until camp is over and someone released a doctored photo of him proposing to Korie. Well this relationship escalated quickly. Instead of having the photo taken down, his devious mind quickly turns it to his advantage. If Korie thought their week at the camp was over and a one time thing, she is in for a surprise.
Pour Judgment is fun and so creative, it really made me wish I was twenty years younger so I could participate in all of the games Heather came up with.
You know what I like the best about Heather M. Oregon? Besides her amazingly inappropriate and raunchy humor and the out of this world sex scenes, that is. I like that she adds this real world feel to her stories. I mean, we’re reading about a country star here, a young single man. Instead of taking her to Paris on a private jet or spending a week on a yacht. Rhett does real dates. I swooned. He’s completely adorable and I’m smitten.
Rhett is this cocky thing and at first I’m thinking, Lord this douche is so full of himself and then ever so slowly I saw this sweet side of him emerging. This side that wants to be loved so badly. This insecure side to him. It was just so darn sweet that I didn’t stand a chance. I was done. Goner. Korie is Rhett’s opposite. While he’s out dangling his heart for Korie to grab, Korie’s trying to lock hers up in the panic room. Because that girl’s scared. But she’s also funny and kind. When their guards are down and they are just being them, they are adorable… it just flows from them.
By 50% of Pour Judgment I had already stopped for several think-abouts. I read the most beautiful and heartfelt scene that I ended up crying (Damn you, Heather). There’s also these moments that feel like real life and I can’t help but feel wistful reading them. The only thing I can push myself to critique a little bit harder is that I wish Korie received some closure with a certain person in her life… or not in her life. She has some issues surrounding that person and I would have liked a bit more there…. no Kumbaya-singing necessary but more. Heather M. Oregon astonishes me with the multitude of emotions that run through me because of the people, the lives, and the love that she creates with her words… with only 26 letters. I’m just in awe and not just of the amazing story but the way the story flowed and the happy and content grin she left me with when I finished.
I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that… my opinions.
