Such a strong female character intolerant of incompetence in her profession. She earns respect in every episode while maintaining her strict standards in the pursuit of the truth.
Love the characters in the Scarpetta series.
Could not put it down!
Thrilling and chilling. Hard to put down. The Kay Scarpetta books never disappoint. Keep them coming Patricia!!
I love all of Patricia Cornwell books!
Have to get used to the style. Great if you like CSI Medical Examiner books.
Great.
My ver first Kay Scarpetta novel, first of many. I have always loved mysteries, and when I began to read read this one many years ago, I couldn’t put it down. Having lived in Virginia where the story took place, I loved already knowing the places mentioned in the book! I also liked the main character, medical examiner Kay Scarpetta. I enjoyed …
Great read as is the whole series! Highly recommend
Great read. Typical Cornwell. Great book.
I like reading Ms. Cornwell’s books, but she is a conspicuous consumer, touting the luxury brands, and she assumes you remember an awful lot about her previous books, her characters, and her plot lines.
Still a great read…
I have read every one of Cornwell’s books. Her style suits me, her main character and story lines are realistic. The settings of the story takes place in a familiar area, which adds to the story being more interesting.
Excellent read, must have your thinking cap on, its good…
You can’t put it down!! Suspensful , great read!
Patricia Cornwell ,once one of my favs, has lost her touch. The last few books were disappointing.
I really enjoyed the early Kay Scarpetta books. Not so much with later ones as I’m not a fan of ‘dead’ characters reappearing.
Patricia Cornwell’s Postmortem was my first foray into the forensic science crime novel. While I am fully capable of reading detailed descriptions of gore and autopsies without getting sick, I was a tad worried that it would get too technical where I’d lose some of the understanding of the medical aspects. While it happens on occasion, the editors …
Patricia Cornwell is one of my favorite authors. I never know what to expect and I am never disappointed.
Cornwell’s books never disappoint. Great plots and her characters are eccentric yet endearing.
