From USA Today bestselling author Willow Winters comes an emotionally gripping, standalone, contemporary romance. It was never love with Daniel and I never thought it would be. It was only lust from a distance. Unrequited love maybe. He’s a man I could never have, for so many reasons. That didn’t stop my heart from beating wildly when his eyes pierced through me. It only slowed back down when … through me.
It only slowed back down when he’d look away, making me feel so damn unworthy and reminding me that he would never be mine.
Years have passed and one look at him brings it all back.
But time changes everything.
There’s a heat in his eyes I recognize from so long ago, a tension between us I thought was one-sided.
“Tell me you want it.” His rough voice cuts through the night and I can’t resist.
That’s where my story really begins.

Wow, what a book. A brilliantly written story that takes love, lust, pain, guilt and grief and combines them into a hand that will reach into your chest to squeeze and twist your heart. This is Daniel and Addison’s romance. In my opinion these two were destined for each other but sometimes fate likes to play tricks and so what was meant to be, had to take the hard road. The emotional turmoil in this book runs deep and you will feel so many things as you read it. From the start we know that these are two wounded people, drawn to each other, fighting their feelings, trying desperately to “do the right thing”, only to suffer more damage along the way. Your heart will break for both of them (and Tyler to). If you love a book that is well written, offers characters that will move you, has a plot that will engage all your emotions and a story that will linger in your heart and mind long after the last page has been read, then this book is for you.
Daniel’s always had an intensity about him. There’s a dominance that lingers in the way he carries himself. A threat just barely contained.

Daniel and Addison’s story is not all sunshine and rainbows. Not by far. But it’s real and raw in it’s most pure form, and for that reason alone Daniel’s always had an intensity about him. There’s a dominance that lingers in the way he carries himself. A threat just barely contained.

Daniel and Addison’s story is not all sunshine and rainbows. Not by far. But it’s real and raw it it’s most pure form, and for that reason alone it’s beautiful. They both feel their own share of guilt for their own reasons, and I’m sure in some ways it’s well deserved, but what they have is beyond what most people do. Addison is the light to Daniel’s darkness, and the balance he needs, his calm in the storm in a sense. Daniel is Addison’s strength. Her rock to lean on when she needs it. Downside, they can be the others demise. Addison can take Daniel’s light and leave nothing but darkness, and Daniel can crush Addison with nothing but words. Thing about this book is, the anticipation of not knowing. Daniel is a hard man. He’s had to be. For his family, the business, but when it comes to Addison he’s different so it could go either way. As for Addison, her life was no cakewalk, so the smallest thing could set her to run, and then where would Daniel and they newfound love be? And would Daniel even be bothered to chase her? All questions you’re going to have to find out for yourself. It’s one crazy a$$ ride you won’t regret. Just remember the checklist. I received this as an arc for an hour estate review and this is me honest.

Willow Winter’s has written another phenomenal read that leaves you sitting on the edge of you seat while reading it. Addison and Daniel were always suppose to be together but things kept them apart. When they finally got together they are explosive and beautiful. This book is part of a series and can be read as a standalone. Can’t wait to read the next book.
