From USA Today bestselling author Willow Winters comes an emotionally gripping, standalone, contemporary romance. It was never love with Daniel and I never thought it would be. It was only lust from a distance. Unrequited love maybe. He’s a man I could never have, for so many reasons. That didn’t stop my heart from beating wildly when his eyes pierced through me. It only slowed back down when … through me.
It only slowed back down when he’d look away, making me feel so damn unworthy and reminding me that he would never be mine.
Years have passed and one look at him brings it all back.
But time changes everything.
There’s a heat in his eyes I recognize from so long ago, a tension between us I thought was one-sided.
“Tell me you want it.” His rough voice cuts through the night and I can’t resist.
That’s where my story really begins.

This is the book that started my Winters obsession!
I couldn’t put this book down. The book grabbed a hold of me and refused to let go!
My first story I read/listened to was Merciless. I enjoyed reading about Daniel and Addison. It helped to give a little more backstory to the Cross Brothers. There is just something special about the Cross Brothers and the format and style of her writing. I always look forward to the next story. Since I read this one awhile ago I am happy to say that I am current with her entire collection. I love the roller coaster ride of emotions. Thought I had written a review for this one when I originally read when it was released. She is a top favorite author on my go to list.
“Possessive” is the beginning of “Merciless” series and it was amazing to read.
I love Willow Winters books because she is an easy author to read and her characters have always a dark side that calls you.
Daniel was one of my favorite brothers on Carter Ross story. His dark side is what I loved in this book and the way he claimed Addison since the beginning. It wasn’t easy since his brother died and she disappeared.
After seeing her in six years his feelings are the same. She is his soul mate.
Addison was broken since the day Tyler Cross died six years ago. She couldn’t stop running until the day she decided to settle her life. She was excited to start a new life, but she never thought she would see Daniel again. He is her soul mate.
I loved the way the two of them love each other. The author made a great story for them.
Y’all this is a wonderful book and please read “Merciless” series.
Love Daniel Cross and Addison Fawn story. They have history and never thought they would be able to be together. Then finding each other again they can’t deny the feelings they have. There are a lot of secrets and sadness, but there is also lots of love and no matter what friends, family, or their heads think they can’t forget what their hearts feel. Never give up there is always ways and fate.
Finding your soulmate but not be able to be with each other. This is one of those stories that makes your heart hurt for the character are going to such a painful time by not knowing that they are mend for each other. A story that keeps you turning the page from the beginning to the end. Two sould who do not know from each other that they belong together.
This book is edgy, and suspenseful and all the things a good dark romance book should be. I really enjoyed it!
I love how Possessive Daniel Cross is
I’ve always like a Possessive character like Daniel Cross. His love story with Addison is quite complicated coz she was Tyler’s gf (Daniel’s youngest brother). Although, I felt sorry for Tyler coz he is innocent and pure. I just love how the story comes into place despite of their heartwrenching past.
I did not care for the story. I read Carters books before reading this one and it was even less interested when I found out this is Addison’s story. It was ok to see their history and all that, but I did not care for their story whatsoever. Quite frankly I was bored. Had it bot been for the narrators I might have given up on Possessive.
Will I rate any Willow Winters book lower than ?!? No, I truly don’t think so. What a great way to start my year! Everything about this book is fantastic. The writing, plot, characters, pacing, everything. There are twists and turns so much so I wanted to cry anytime I had to put this book down, it was captivating and had my full attention. Daniel and Addison’s story is touching and heartbreaking and I love them both so much. They both are broken, but when they come together they fit so perfectly. I loved learning about both of them and what their backstory was. I don’t know if I can get over them or this book because I felt like I was under a spell while reading. There are just so many good things about this book and the way Willow Winters writes, it’s addictive and unbelievably done well.
Of course another !
I’m currently on a reading journey in the Willow Winters world. I recently acquired a reading order list of all her books. This was book #3 and I have to say they keep getting better and better. I really loved this book. It was written really well. It was tragic, heartbreaking, haunting, steamy and definitely possessive. I’m excited to continue this journey!
Sexy, suspenseful read! Loved Daniel Cross!
OMG Daniel and Addison were amazing. Willow had done it again. I was amazed with how powerful can love be. I would highly recommend ALL of WILLOW WINTERS books. I can’t wait to read more from Willow.
This book took an unexpected turn on me. It was not what I expected going in. I think I was expecting a love triangle, but I don’t think it quite qualifies… A journey of guilt and forbidden love, I enjoyed Daniel and Addison’s story but I’m torn on where my heart lays. I feel drawn to Tyler and am sad that we didn’t get more of him. I liked the writing style, the flashbacks lent a lot to the overall tone of the story. I look forward to reading the rest of the Series to answer the questions I am left with.Willow Winters
I started out with reading Merciless. I was new to Willow Winters and wasn’t sure what books to start with but I’m so glad I did. In reading that series first, I was introduced to Daniel and Addison and fell in love with the characters. If you are a true read it in order first type of person then you need read Possessive first. You will not be disappointed. Be ready to get ducked into their world…..
Possessive is a romantic, suspenseful story with excellent writing, memorable characters and an interesting plot. You could feel the underlying darkness that surrounded both Daniel and Addison whether it was the loss of a loved one they both were grieving or the mystery of the family business and the violence going on behind the scenes.
MMMM yes, I’ll take stalkers for $600, Alex. I can’t resist a well written stalker story.
Let me introduce our players. We have Addison, our damaged Heroine. And Daniel, our also damaged Hero (plus stalker). They are connected in that Addison once dated Daniel’s baby brother, even though it was clear to everyone else the connection they shared.
Possessive starts many years after they have parted, or at least, that’s what you are led to believe. If you were wondering where the title came from….it came from Daniel. He followed Addison for his own sanity – as if seeing her crying and broken allowed him to continue on with life. It’s like he needed her sadness for him to accept his own feelings.
Their reunion was angsty and hot and delicious. It was everything I could have hoped for. Suspenseful and mysterious.
My only detriment to this book is the ending. So may unanswered questions. Possessive does segue into Merciless, so hopefully there is some resolution ahead, but I would have preferred a slightly more complete story line here.
My first Willow Winters and definitely won’t be my last!
There really are no words for this book. Once again Winters has left me speechless with a story full of angst and heartbreak love between two characters that have been separated by circumstance.
This particular story is centered around Addison and Daniel. Addison is in love with Daniel. Daniel is in love with Addison. The problem, Addison is Tyler, Daniel’s younger brother’s girlfriend. There really is no way to further explain the story without giving a major amount of spoilers. Winters ensures that you are gripping the end of your seat from the beginning and are left guessing until the very end.
With this being the first book in a new series, I for one can not wait to see what Winters has in store for us next! Definitely, a once click read if I have seen one.
ღ I am struggling for word, I cannot even tell you how great this story is without giving away the storyline! I am going to be honest here, the read wasn’t easy, it is heartbreaking gut wrenching read. Such pain- When I read Tyler thoughts I had to put down the book & collect myself. Hope you enjoy this read & also always keep in mind this is just my opinion
Well written & put together, the characters were so easy to fall in love • Willow Winters once again creates another masterpiece! of course no surprise there
I have been reading the four book MERCILESS SERIES by W. Winters (Willow Winters). While waiting for ENDLESS Book 4 and the final book of the series release, I saw POSSESSIVE was on sale, and was the story of two of the characters in the MERCILESS SERIES. This is the story of Daniel Cross and Addison Fawn. These characters are seen in the Merciless Series, but this is their story, so we really see how messed up, broken, guilty and down right “Possessive” they really are.
You are always one decision away from a totally different life. Addison is living a self-imposed lonely existence. Running from her past, doesn’t make the ghost disappear, no matter how far she ran. The guilt of her decisions followed her everywhere. Eventually you will turn full circle and end back to where it all started.
Daniel Cross has wanted someone forbidden ever since he saw her with his youngest brother. But he starred at her regardless. Her face had high cheek bones and piercing green eyes. Her hair fell in front of her face, and she had no idea how desirable she was. He has always wanted her, and he couldn’t make it stop. He really doesn’t care what happened yesterday as long as he gets her tomorrow.
This is a crazy story of two very broken people. Wrecked with guilt. You don’t ever get over the death of someone who takes up space in your soul. It isn’t even possible. There are moments when you remember that you’re just a pale imitation of what you could be if they only were still here. And those moments hurt more than anything else in the world.
This book can be read as a standalone, but after meeting Daniel and Addison you are going to want to read more.
