From USA Today Bestselling author KL Donn comes an all new sexy stand alone in the Neighbors Novel series where love always finds a way. It’s not like I was looking to meet a girl.Let alone the one next door. It’s a cliché. Hook, line, and sinker.I don’t do those. But I do, want Hope Carson. The sexy, shy, introverted girl who can’t read emotions but cares too fucking much. She shouldn’t be perfect … can’t read emotions but cares too fucking much.
She shouldn’t be perfect for me, but I can’t imagine life without her now that I’ve had a taste of her sweet cherry lips.
Hope has secrets. Ones I intend to discover.
Reed Burkhart is a jerk.
He laughs when I stutter.
Smirks when I blush.
And I can’t figure out if he likes me or hates me.
For a man claiming to be indifferent, he sure has turned into one possessive neighbor after an all too short, soft, sexy, addictive kiss.
He wants my secrets, my body and my heart.
How do I resist?

Can I just say how much I adore this story?! Reed is sweet and sexy, possessive (of course!!) and loving, but most of all certain that Hope is meant to be his. I love how he treats Hope, how he uses his skills as a detective to figure her out and make her life easier. He is so intent on her, patient with her, you can just see the love. But what makes this story so amazing is Hope. With her disability, you can feel her frustration and confusion and fear. Her bravery in the face of her constant uncertainty is remarkable. Watching her relationship with Reed develop is guaranteed to make your heart smile! Happy Reading!!
Possessive Neighbor
Another great read from author K.L Donn, the grumpy neighbor Reed didn’t know how to take Hope. She’s different, her presence threw Reed for a loop and he took it with stride and go with the flow, like their story a lot
I absolutely loved this book. I pre-ordered this and I’m so glad I did. It has all the feels. Reed and Hope are neighbors. One look and Reed is hooked, even though he was a jerk the first time they meet. Hope has a hard time reading other people’s emotions, and so has a hard time talking to Reed. Being obsessed over Hope like he is, Reed doesn’t let a few misunderstandings deter him from getting her. Who wouldn’t want an obsessed, alpha man as their neighbor?
Do yourself a favor and get this book!!
I really enjoyed this book! Hope and Reed are such an unlikely couple but they compliment each other so well. There is humor, drama, steam, misunderstandings and tears. Hope moves next door to Reed and she is everything he didn’t know he wanted. Reed is like a puzzle to be solved for Hope. I couldn’t get enough of this story and I can’t wait for the next installment!!
I found this book to hook me in like I’ve never experienced before. For me I found this book hit to home because of how unique hope is with her issues. I have an autistic son so when we’re talking about social emotional issues the connection for me is real. It was so refreshing to read a story where the characters issues weren’t just from a bad or tough upbringing. I loved the story start to finish and while it was a short story it’s still a very complete story. you will definitely fall in love with both Reed and Hope. Yeah another great story by this author.
From the very first word till the last I completely fell in love with this story. It’s a tragic, compassionate, HEA story. Reed and Hope are the perfect couple. If there’s one thing I love about KL Donn’s books is they they are so detailed with so much emotion you feel each word in your heart. 5 STARS
Hope and Reed’s story is a sweet and delightful read that is really one of a kind. Hope finds something in her neighbor that she has never had nor did she ever think she would. Reed is your swoon worthy alpha who falls in love at first sight and their tale progresses from there. This is a delightful heartfelt quick read that left me smiling at the end.
Hope and Reed are pure perfection. I love how sweet she is and that he gives her exactly what she needs. I recommend this to everyone. Such a sweet story.
Another Burkhart bites the dust.
So, Reed Burkhart. Leave it to KL Donn to always come up with an alpha hero who grabs what he wants and holds on tight. One look at Hope Carson, and this possessive neighbor decides that Hope is his, insecurities, secrets and all, and all I can say is, I want to be in Hope’s shoes right about now!
Yup, the Burkhart brothers were worth the read!
I swear KL gets me in the feels every time with her books. This one had my heart breaking for Hope and her little peanut. Having gone through so much loss and uncertainty with her condition, it just made me want to reach into the pages and give her a giant bear hug. Luckily, I also Love that Reed could see through all of the fake smiles and know that there was more to Hope than what meets the eye. Love that he knew she was mean to be his, made for him, to give him what he’s been missing. Definitely recommend that you one click this one!
LOVE KL Donn’s characters! I love how they always have a quirk or something that sets them apart! Reed is the typical alpha male, and Hope is his new next door neighbor. You know there is a story behind Hope, and she was so different. She is definitely one of the most unique characters I’ve read about! Loved the chemistry from the beginning, and how it wasn’t all perfect and neat. The storyline will keep you hooked from the first page, and you won’t want the book to end!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book.
Possessive Neighbour by K.L. Donn is a beautiful, steamy and touching story that will grab at the heartstrings while heating up the pages at the same time. This is a great start in A Neighbours Novel series with book 1 as we meet Reed and Hope. Their chemistry, Hope’s medical condition, and Reed’s swoon-worthy alpha male makes this a phenomenal read. Without giving any of the story away, just know that there are great cast of secondary characters, love the chemistry between Reed and Hope and how they meet is just great. Overall, fantastic start to a new series. I look forward to book #2.
My Rating: 4.5 stars *******
I received this book in advance for a voluntary honest review. Love, love, loved this book! Reed Burkhart is a police detective who has a new neighbor in his duplex, Hope Carson. Reed is immediately taken with Hope, Hope is attracted to Reed but she had some life changing events that she’s not sure Reed wants to be a part of. KL Donn does a great job creating characters with depth and unique characteristics. Definitely recommend and can’t wait for Luca and Coen’s story.
Instalove to the nth degree!! Moving in never looked so good!
Reed and Hope are amazingly cute together. I felt the angsty awkwardness that was Hope to my core! I wanted to cry with her at the frustration she lives with daily. Reed is protective and a jerk but is wanting to make sure Hope is secure and understood.
This story was a whirlwind of emotions just waiting to be discovered!
I just have to start off saying I loved Hope and Reed! Hope’s story and her struggles were such a weight on her and Reed was such a great fit for her!
Hope and Reed is a such a sweet romance and I really loved Hope’s innocence and Reeds tenacity. Sometimes stories just come together and when you thing about them you cant help but smile and this is definitely one of those warm fuzzy stories to me.
Hope moves into a new place trying to start a new life as a pregnant mom to be on her own. She has a hard time reading emotions and when her hot cop neighbor, Reed, confronts her about the noise from her moving in while he is trying to sleep, sparks fly. Its just Hope has no idea thats whats happening. This is such an achingly sweet story. Reed seems to know how get through to her but unforeseen complications could keep them apart.
MUST READ!!!!!
This is such a sweet story!
Hope has had a lot of devastation in her life. She is sweet, thoughtful and kind. She would do anything for her friends.
Reed is an alpha cop. He protects what is his until the end of the earth. He has always wanted a family and was just waiting for the right person.
When Hope and Reed first meet, he instantly knows that there is something special about Hope. He wants to get to know and more. Hope is of course hesitant given things that are going on in her life.
When they finally come together it is the sweetest thing. This whole story made me smile. Everyone deserves love and that is just what these two got.
Can’t wait to read about Luca and Peyton 😉
Holy freaking instalove! Reed is a bit cocky. Hope is the shy girl next door. But when Reed figures out that there is so much more to her than meets the eye, holy hotness the alpha protector comes to her aide. A love story about overcoming sadness and conquering a disability to get everything they need to build a life together. You won’t put this one down till you are done!
This is a short, sweet, and steamy read that pulls at your emotions. You can’t read a K.L. Donn book without shedding at least one tear and this was no exception. But even through the tears I couldn’t help but smile. This is one perfect, feel-good story that will leave you wanting more because I need more of Hope and Reed. I also need Luca and Coen.
KL Donn has really outdone herself with this one. Reed and Hope’s story has to be my favorite so far and that’s really saying something as I love all of her books! What’s not to love? You got a sexy cop, single mother, possessive neighbor, protective brother and a disability! I’ve never read a book like this before but I’m definitely loving it!! I can’t wait to see what KL gives us next!
What a fantastic new book from KL Donn! These two neighbors are just phenomenal. Hope and Reed’s story is steamy, sweet, funny and page turning because a great story should not be a simple and without drama, misunderstandings or some tear herking moments. When Hope moves in next to Reed she was the last thing he expected and yet everything he’d ever wanted. For Hope Reed was a puzzle she wanted to figure out, even if it was confusing and pushing her out of her comfort zone. I loved all the characters in this book, Hope’s brother and his best friend are so amazingly protective of her and I so want more of their stories.
