I’ll fix her… then keep her. It starts with healing her body. That sweet skin, that gorgeous smile. She’s my latest physical therapy patient, and I don’t mind stretching her out one bit.But something’s off with her injury. It doesn’t match her story. When I find out the truth, I know I need to make sure nothing ever hurts her again. That’s when I make her all mine. Every single inch of her, mine.… mine. Every single inch of her, mine.
But her rich a-hole father isn’t about to let her go. He thinks he can use her as a pawn in his business dealings.
I’m not about to let her get taken advantage of again. She’s mine now, and I don’t let anyone touch what I own.
I don’t care about right or wrong. I only care about her.
Get ready!! Possessive Doctor is a steamy alpha possessive love story with a hero that absolutely has to own what’s his… and won’t ever let go. If you like your main man a little rough and a lot steamy, you’re going to love Brent. As always, it’s a full length novel with no cheating, no cliffhanger, and a guaranteed happily-ever-after. Enjoy!! BB

Good story, original and unpredictable!
This was a good story about a girl, Amber Gibbons, who goes to a physical therapy clinic for a broken femur, which is the largest bone in the human body and pretty difficult to break. She gets the Doctor instead of one of the regular physical therapists because they are short on staff that day and the Doctor, Brent Lofthouse, is attracted to Amber but also wonders about her injury which she says was caused in an auto accident. Though after looking at her X-rays and scans, Brent thinks it could only have been caused in some sort of fall.
Brent has Amber schedule future therapy visits with him and tries to question her further about what happened to her leg. Brent even gives her his cell number and flirts with her in text messages and tries to get more information from her but she shuts him down until one night when she feels in danger and calls him for help.
Amber’s Father hurt her and she needs Brent to help her, which Brent steps up to do. I like the story because it is unpredictable Ambers father is rich from finding oil in Texas and wants to get richer. Brent comes from a very wealthy old money family in Virginia. It is crazy to see some of the things they do.
Also some parts of the book just don’t make sense to me. Like the first time Amber goes to Brent for help. She explains that her Dad was the one that hurt her and why. He says yes he will help her, yet instead of saying she can stay with him, he brings her back home to her Dads place. I don’t get that. It isn’t like she is under age.
Also when he does start helping her and takes her to his family home, her Dad goes to the press and says Brent kidnapped her and that Brent was her doctor so it is unethical. Brent tell his Mother he will go to the press and clear things up, but his mother says that will make things worse and bring more attention to their family. I don’t understand why that would be bad when Ambers father is already bringing so much bad attention. They could just have Amber say that her Father abused her and Brent is protecting her and that would be that. The focus would go to Mr. Gibbons.
Anyway, things don’t always make perfect sense in books and in movies so we have to just go with the flow sometimes. And overall I enjoyed this book. The romance between Brent and Amber was steamy and not insta-Love, they took their time moving up to from attraction to saying those three little words. I think they could have solved some of Ambers problems by getting married themselves but the fact that they didn’t just jump into a quickie marriage just to foil Ambers father was a good thing.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Enjoyed reading
I love this author and own quite a few, but this one fell short.
Not a page turning story line
These are some absolutely crazy families! Like no joke all of them need to be screened for psychopathy pronto! But here is the thing: they never actually say if there is oil on the ranch!!!! I wanna know! I hope there wasn’t because that would feel a bit like justice! lol! Happy Reading!
You have to stretch your imagination a bit in this book. It has some potential, but there isn’t much depth to the characters and parts of it are frustrating to read. Overall an okay read with an HEA.
Unbelievable
This story was a little romantic, a little tragic and a page turned. Gives you a little glimpse of the life of the wealthy.
The story started well, then you realize that something is not right. We are on the 21th Century. Her father goes all over the social Media to report her abduction, but she cannot do the same and say that she was not abducted, but that decided to leave home because she is a grownup woman? Super rich people with no PR person? He wants to help her, takes her to her parent’s home, but does hot marry her to subdue her father’s intentions? Not credible.
Sex and more sex. Storyline a bit shallow. Easy reading but predictable.
I like the relationship between amber and Brent. I like how he is drawn to her and to the mystery of how she was really injured. He is her knight. A possible growly and hot knight but still. His dirty Louth and their steamy scenes definitely can make a person blush. Personally the only thing I didn’t like was her father and despite how the ending goes. I won’t spoil. I don’t like how he still seems to get something he wants. I think that. BS. He should be punished to the full wrath of the Lofthouse family for what he has done and then for what he has done to Amber. But whatever.
Amber needs therapy for leg that was broken in a “car accident.” Brent knows after seeing Amber and talking with her that her break is not from a car accident but from a fall down the stairs. When Brent starts asking questions, Amber gets mad, denies Brent’s claims, and storms out. Amber is afraid of her father and cannot reveal that her father got angry with her and threw her down the stairs when she said she wouldn’t marry the son of a man her father made a deal with to get his land. Brent’s possessive side is triggered with Amber, and Brent vows to make Amber his. After texting back and forth, Amber asks Brent to meet her, and she confesses everything. What happens when Brent gets a frantic call from Amber? Will Brent and Amber be safe hiding out at his family’s home? What lengths does Amber’s father go to to get Amber back? Will Brent be able to keep Amber safe? Will Brent come up with a plan to get Amber’s father to leave them alone? What price will Brent pay to get his mother’s help? I really liked Possessive Doctor by BB Hamel. Possessive Doctor is a great story with interesting characters. Possessive Doctor is a great story that has an possessive alpha doctor, hot chemistry, drama, and a happily ever after. I would recommend getting Possessive Doctor by BB Hamel. I received a free ARC of this book, and I am leaving my honest review.
There is a rollercoaster of emotions that you ride while reading this intense, serious and sexy book. There are so many interesting and disgusting characters that surround Amber and Brent in this story that I don’t think I could survive their ordeal. The drama is beyond average and over the top, old-school manipulations that make you sick to your stomach but, the sexiness and possessiveness of Brent’s care for Amber is worth it’s weight in gold. If you like those edge of your seat romances, the ones where you can’t predict the next step, this is a must have book!
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
Loved this book the storyline was intense, hot & emotional that I couldn’t put it down. Brent & Amber were wonderful characters who have a connection aswell as hot sexual chemistry. When Amber meets Brent at his clinic for physio after breaking her leg in a ‘car accident’ he knows that how severe the break was it was not done in an accident & he is determined to find out how it happened. There is a lot of flirting going on between them & the closer they get the more she opens up telling him how it happened. Her dad is evil & has arranged her to be married to the son of a man who’s land he wants to buy making him rich but when she refuses she is met by his anger. Brent has promised to protect her resorting to take her to his families home where they will be safe but he has a strained relationship with them but her father goes to extreme lengths to get her back.
I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book.
Oh my, the worst family award goes to……
It’s really a toss up whose family is worse, Brent and Amber have wonderful chemistry together and once Brent realizes Amber is being mistreated by her father he decides to do whatever it takes to protect what’s his. The storyline is interesting and intriguing, the characters are incredibly likable. Highly entertaining.
Brent And Amber Have Great Banter! Their Time Together At The Clinic Is Fun To Read About.
This is the first book in a new series. Don’t forget to download the free bonus scene! Instructions are located at the back of the book.
Amber Gibbins, twenty-four, had been bedridden for weeks following her accident, her entire right leg in a cast. She hopes to put her University of Texas degree in business administration to use rather than sit around in her father’s mansion just outside of Austin. They hardly speak since the accident. Unfortunately she is stuck with a cane and faces months or years of physical therapy before she can regain normal function in her leg. She is tired of being a victim but doesn’t have many options while she remains dependent upon her dad, who values money above all else. He has changed since her mom died. Luck brought him overnight wealth a decade ago, and Gibbins Oil consumes him, hardening him. His greed trumps all.
Dr. Brent Lofthouse, thirty-four, sorely disappointed his crazy wealthy family when he went to medical school. They wanted him to trade stocks and live a life of leisure, but he wanted to make his own way and contribute to society. He became a physiatrist (a physical therapist with an MD) and founded his own physical therapy clinic near Austin. Having given up his playboy days years ago, he throws himself into his clinic, working tirelessly to ensure its success.
When Amber sees the gorgeous Dr. Lofthouse calling her name, she is immediately taken with him. Despite the inappropriateness, she flirts with him and is thrilled when she detects he is interested in her, too. But when he suggests her injury isn’t from a car accident, as her records claim, his good looks, healing hands, and charming banter suddenly don’t seem so tempting.
Brent is drawn to Amber and decides he will have her. Eventually. But he cannot ignore his concern about the nature of her injury. It was clearly a fall. And her reaction to his question confirms that she is covering something up. Concerned about her safety, he offers his number and promises to help.
Brent and Amber begin an unethical relationship, though it doesn’t go far or long before Amber admits that her father is forcing her into an arranged marriage and won’t take no for an answer. Brent’s possessive and protective nature comes out full force as he works to rescue Amber and make her his. But keeping her safe from her wealthy father means taking her to Lofthouse Manor outside of Charlottesville, Virginia, where his dysfunctional family presents a new kind of danger. Their budding relationship is tested by their families, and no place is safe. The couple does eventually earn their HEA.
Brent and Amber have great banter! Their time together at the clinic is fun to read about, though both are a little naughty. Brent’s concern for her satisfies her need for someone in her life that actually cares about how she feels. She indirectly leads him back home, and although that is riddled with problems, he was raised to value family.
There are some issues that merit mention. *Spoilers* First, between her father’s abuse and her age, the idea that Amber’s father might get away with his plans seems hard to swallow, despite his wealth. Second, leaving for Virginia without discussing arrangements for Brent’s clinic in his absence feels off for a man that built the business and practically lives at work. Third, Brent believes there will be at least another attempt to take Amber from the manor while at the same time he leaves her alone and unattended as he gathers the family. Fourth, Brent came across as weak when he took Amber to his detested family home and worked only to get his family to let her stay, rather than addressing the issue of Amber’s father and bringing the couple safely back to Texas. Fifth, by the third kidnapping attempt it feels like overkill, especially because it is in public and there is very little hope for success.
Brent and Amber’s story is an easy read. It is nicely written and plot-driven. The mood changes when the couple leaves Texas, which is a little disappointing because the beginning was so enjoyable. The characters are nicely developed. There is a large cast, particularly in Virginia. The story is written in first person. The POV alternates between Brent and Amber. I rate this book 3.5 stars.
I received a free advance copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Amber and Brent attraction changed the fate her father had dealt for her. Terrifying how Amber’s father wanted to control her. But Brent was territorial, knew something was wrong and would fight for her safety. Entertaining plot development with interesting twists, good secondary characters, intrigue, some suspense, romance and lot of hot passion.
Amber met Brent when she showed up at his physical therapy clinic. She said she had broken her leg in a car accident but he knew that wasn’t right. The break just didn’t look like it could have happened the way she said. Brent was determined to find out what really happened to Amber. They grew close during her appointments and she finally told him her truth. Brent was growing attached quickly and was determined to keep her safe. This story has a ton of action and suspense. It is so hard to put the book down. This is a great book and I would recommend it to anyone who likes love and action.
I was excited to read this book. I am sad to leave a less than 4-5 review. I have been with this author for a long time, years, so I have to believe that perhaps a draft was accidentally published by mistake so I am still looking forward to the next read. Unfortunately, as it stands, this story needs editing. There are some proofing issues regarding spelling, but mostly continuity and dialogue issues. Some of the responses back and forth made no sense to me. For example: Once during sexy time I read: “I’m sweating as I work my back.” What the heck does that mean? As I work my back?? Continuity example: One minute they have a 20 hour drive total from Texas to Virginia – the next sentence states that after 20 hours they are still in Texas and the next states they have driven through 4 states and still have a 20 hour drive? Brent is a doctor who believes Amber was abused. She has a badly broken leg which is still healing after he father’s abuse. He seems like a decent man but then when she complains about the 20 hour drive and asks to stop because she needs to use the facilities and tells him her leg is aching he says “No”? – ‘No’ and calls her childish and spoiled? Huh? The banter often seemed odd and childish and completely out of place! her constantly referring to him as an a-hole? One minute, Brent is rescuing a patient he’s met half a dozen times, risking malpractice and the next minute he’s is acting like a total jerk towards a girl who is fleeing an abusive father. Once they fled, it was as if every person close to them as out for them? Too many times I couldn’t make sense of the dialogue. It didn’t add up or match the circumstance.
Amber and Brent’s story is a well written flawless tale which is and emotional roller coaster throughout as well as unpredictable, intense, and with sizzling chemistry as well as having drama, suspense and love. I was hooked and intrigued throughout this additive page turner, and I highly recommend for all readers.
