I want my stepdaughter.I know it’s wrong. But my marriage is just a business deal and nothing more.I don’t care if I’m a bad man.I’m going to make her call me Daddy.I refused to get involved with Julia Hall at first. She couldn’t pay me enough to be her pretend husband. Then I caught sight of my future stepdaughter and the word “yes” slipped off my tongue.I need to keep my hands off sweet Sydney. … tongue.
I need to keep my hands off sweet Sydney. Taking her could ruin everything. Not to mention, she’s twenty years younger than me. Maybe I’m messed up, but when she parades her tight little body around the house, I can’t stop thinking about tasting every inch of it.
I know she wants me too. She gives me those bedroom eyes every day, even though we both know it’s so wrong.
I don’t care if this ruins everything; I can’t resist her anymore. I know she’s waiting for me to sneak into her room in the middle of the night. I’ll open the door, step inside, and whisper in her ear:
You belong to Daddy now.

This was my first taste of what B.B. Hamel has to offer and I was deliciously surprised. It had so many elements to make it binge-worthy and I enjoyed gobbling up every word.
Drama?
Insanely hot sex?
Daddy kink?
Even some fast action scenes?
Connor was an ex-navy SEAL now-turned private security. He’s used to putting his life on the line, for his country, and for those he’s sworn to protect. His latest job? Marry the client to improve her image to her father so she can inherit. When he was about to say no, he caught a glimpse of his soon-to-be stepdaughter and he couldn’t resist. His ‘yes’ gave him the perfect opportunity to secretly pursue Sydney. She was totally off-limits and the risk was high, but Connor thrives in danger. A ton of hot sexiness and daddy pleases made this a quick and dirty read!

Wow!! Loved this book. Cora and Jerrod are wonderful, relatable characters whose non idyllic life circumstances do not define their future. Bound together by a single, heinous act, I loved watching their love story – redemption, drama, and so steamy. The book never got dull. I devoured it. I can’t wait for the next installment.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is the 3rd book in the series. This story is about Max and Delia. Delia recently returned home to the family manor. One day she takes off for a walk and meets Max, a retired cop. Max is a single dad with a young daughter, Tabitha. Max’s hot alpha self and Delia sassy disposition make for an enjoyable read. I voluntarily received an arc copy of this book from the author and bought a copy as well.
Supporting the other at all costs
4.5
Good romance, both tender and hot with some twists and turns. I liked the characters and their story which mixes romance and conflict with a mafia group.
Max is hired as a Lofthouse family security guard after helping their daughter Délia. But the family is quite special (it was already the case in previous episodes). We quickly learn that Max was a policeman under cover and when his mission was completed, his wife was killed by revenge by the mafia group that he had brought down. He had to flee with his daughter, but he discovered a new life and above all he’s strongly attracted to Delia. But the past catches him up and Max and Delia will have to define how to act.

I’m pleasantly surprised at how much I liked one :))
I really like Sydney and Conner’s story. Sydney is the 19-year old daughter of a CEO who is trying to gain full ownership of the company her dying father owns. To get in her father’s good graces, Sydney’s mother, Jessica asks Conner to enter into a business agreement to marry her and pretend they are in love. Conner is an ex-SEAL who has his own security company and doesn’t do emotion. Jessica believes he’s perfect for the job. The reason Conner agrees to marry Jessica is Sydney.
I like how Conner and Sydney meet, get to know each other rather quickly and then, the awkwardness of a socially unacceptable relationship begins. It creates a lot of heat and frustration.
The other element to the story is the growing danger against all of them. Jessica’s brother wants the father’s company for himself and is willing to do anything to get it. Conner now needs to protect both his wife and step-daughter. This puts a strain on everyone as does the forbidden relationship between Sydney and Conner.
I recommend this book for the love story and for the suspense. I wouldn’t nessarily classify this story as taboo because Sydney is an adult and has never been “parented” by Conner, except for when he tells her to call him Daddy in private. Technically, however, the story is about a taboo relationship. I would have liked more show of possessiveness from Conner towards Sydney and more detail of how Conner goes from married to Jessica to being with Sydney in a HEA.
Oh my! This story was hot and I couldn’t put it down. It’s the sort of story that makes you want to go off and find a man to do all the naughty things that you’ve just read about. This book takes hold and doesn’t let go until the end. You’re then left wanting to read anything and everything by this author. A definite recommended read that you do not want to miss!
I just loved this book. This isn’t your normal bang your way through a book, book. This book is hot, steamy, with lots of mystery thrown in and I love it.
Conner is an ex-navy seal that is hired to marry Julia to keep the family safe while she takes over the family business. Julia’s 19-year-old daughter is home for the summer to figure herself out before going to college.
There is so much mystery surrounding this family, will Conner be able to keep Sydney and Julia safe from whoever is after them? Will Sydney be able to stay away from Conner?
This is such a great book and a must read!
