Sam A quiet life as a clock tinker. That’s what I need. And that’s what I have … until her–the woman in the pop-up shop across the street. The shop that’s invaded my tranquil life and turned my town into a movie set. I want nothing to do with any of it. But then I hear her voice. And I can’t think about cogs and tick tocks. All I can think about is her. And I when I find her? I’m never … I’m never letting her go.
Fawn
A pop-up shop is the perfect idea to publicize our Kitty Cat Valentine premiere. I may not be the star of the movie, but I can certainly be the MVP of the shop. But when my friend tells the long line of people that I’m giving away a kiss to one lucky shopper, I don’t know if I can do it. Until he walks in. Sam. The stoic man who’s built like a freight train and kisses like he means it. I want to be his Valentine, but when his dangerous past finds him, will we be able to give love a chance?
MINK’s note: Curl up with a coffee and a cat for this Valentine’s treat with twists, turns, steam, and a fun HEA.

Awesome story with Sam and Fawn. Fawn believes she is cursed and still has not had her first kiss until Sam. Sweet deadly assassin Sam. I love these books more. The ones with The Brotherhood Assassins and the Red Dragoon? Lol. I’m hoping Ms. Mink puts out more assassin and mafia books. Those are the best! Great read, some action, and hit lovemaking. 4.5 stars****
I loved this story. It was so entertaining and enjoyable. I totally want to meet someone like Sam. He was the best mix of growly grizzly bear and sweet teddy bear. The characters were great. Kelly was the best kind of friend there is.

I loved that Sam was all-in before he even saw Fawn and that seeing her just sealed the deal for him. Fawn was perfect for Sam. She was sweet and kind and trusted her feelings. Sam was so protective of Fawn and considerate of her feelings. There were so many feels in this story and I loved them all! Their happy ever after made me smile. I recommend reading this book. Or listening to it as that was fun too!
Sam is a clock fixer who is starting over in life. He used to be a mercenary
Fawn is in town to help with a movie premier and a pop up shop
When Sam hears Fawns voice he has this unknown connection to her. He thinks he’s going to tell her to keep the noise down because he can’t focus on fixing watches and clocks with the noise. The closer he gets to her the more pull he feels.
With their first kiss their fate is sealed.
Will they make it? Will the secrets of the past get in the way?
Sam, watchmaker and former mercenary is retired and trying to live a quiet life. His shop is his escape. He enjoys the solitude and his work. Until the pop up shop opens up across from him.
Fawn is in charge of the pop up event, promoting the latest movie her friend kelly is staring in. The other co- star Brent? Not so much. He’s a douche and he’s creepy.
She’s also trying to overcome the curse. (Not a real one) but nevertheless our lead heroine thinks she’s cursed. She’s never been kissed. Whenever the moment has been upon her something goes wrong. Fires, getting hit by a bus (not her) her ex boyfriend. See where I’m going here. Of course it’s happened because her first kiss should be her last. With the one she’s meant to spend her life with.
And that leads us to the Alpha Sam. Who is about to storm her pop up store to get them to be quiet. But silence is the last thing he wants when he spots her. She’s it, the reason for his being here. For being born. Forget his past his future was set when his lips settled on hers.
Freaking adorable. Page turner and awesome secondary characters. Throw in two adorable cats and it’s game over.
Mink is a one click author for me.
One of my new favorite authors! Sweet and sexy and fun and witty! Fawn is a bit naive, sweetly innocent, and an utterly delightful character. Sam is grumpy, grouchy, world-wise, and has a dark past he’s trying to forget. When a pop-up Valentine shop opens up near his watch repair shop, Sam goes over to lodge is complaints – despite his fascination with the girl with the cinnamon roll voice. One look and that fascination turns to love. But his past comes calling and Sam must do everything in his power to get a future with his Fawn.
This is a story I know that I’ll end up reading more than once. Here’s hoping for LOTS more by this author!
Fawn and Sam are the cutest couple. I love how corky little Fawn has the big bad watch maker eating out of the palm of her hand!!!
Very quick read that steam definitely makes it worth your while. Perfect HEA
I really liked reading about Fawn and Sam. I loved the way they met and Sam calling her Cinnamon Roll. I loved how sweet Fawn was and I am glad Sam was able to get past the curse. They were so good together and I loved this book.
I received an ARC and am leaving my honest and voluntary review.
What an adorably sweet Valentine’s day read.
I read an advanced copy of this book
I absolutely love these kinds of book.
The grumpy alpha male, who prefers to live in solitude.
The up-beat heroine, who seems too naive to be true =)
And a curse that’s been waiting for true loves first kiss (hehe)
Sam has lived a life of death and is now enjoying the slow paced life of a clock tinker. At least that was the plan until the pop-up shop showed up right across the street from his shop. When Sam plans to confront the owner of the shop about the loud noises interfering with his work he gets a shock to his cold heart when he hears the voice over the intercom. Then when he comes face-to-face with the owner of the voice, Sam is all to ready to claim the kiss that she’s giving away and much, much more.
Absolutely loved this story! Can’t wait to see what kind of stories MINK comes up with next!
**I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book**
I don’t think I hve ever read such a modern insta lust story, this was great. It has a growly alpha, ex military man trying to life a quiet life, a fun a d sweet lady trying to make the pop up story shes in charge of (the mondern aspect for me) successful, it also has a cat and a funny meet cute. I really enjoyed tge humor and the heat. I received an ARC and I am leaving an honest review.
Loved this LOL Valentine’s romance!!!
Sam is an ex-mercenary who is just trying to lead a quiet life fixing clocks in a small town. Then a pop-up shop goes in across the street and turns everything chaotic. When Sam hears Fawn’s sweet cinnamon roll voice over the loud speaker he tries to convince himself he’s just going over there to tell them to keep it down. But he’s not fooling anyone, he’s there to claim he’s sweet cinnamon roll as his own and nothing, not even his past will get in his way. This is a LOL, wonderful read and I highly recommend it!
Sam knows his time is always borrowed. He continuously looks over his shoulder. But when that sugary sweet voice came over the speaker, Sam knew it was time for something else. Fawn lured him in. What started out as putting an end to an obnoxious disturbance ended with Sam taking more than a kiss from the tasty treat named Fawn.
But Fawn is leery and believes she’s cursed. Can Sam be the one to break it? Or will Sam’s past haunt the new found love?
