You’ve seen the headlines about him. Knox Rivers is music’s out of control, all over TMZ, and under the impression that he’s God’s gift to the female population bad boy. He steals hearts with his music and breaks them in the same night. And I’m his new personal assistant.I didn’t want to take the job, but my dad lost everything we had for not paying taxes, and I’m desperate. I have this under … paying taxes, and I’m desperate. I have this under control, right? I’m the daughter of a rock legend and have been around these types of men my entire life – but with every passing mile I’ve finding myself more drawn to him.
I’m fighting to keep our relationship professional while he’s pushing to show me there’s more to him than what’s plastered all over the tabloids.
Desire starts triumphing my rationality.
I’m throwing all of my rules out the window.
I’ll deal with the repercussions when the gas tank runs dry.

I discovered this author at the weekend after picking up Roommates and I’ve since consumed four of her books. This is the fourth and I’ve literally just finished it. Pop Rock is another 5 star read for me and I enjoyed it so much. I’m still excited to have discovered this author and have found myself addicted to her work. Pop Rock kept my attention throughout and my heart literally melted for Knox who did everything he could to show Libby that trusting their love for each other was the worth the risk. I haven’t yet finished checking out this talented author’s work and will now be heading back to KU and seeing which book I need to read next by her!
Pop Rock by Charity Ferrell a pop-tastic Five-star read. This is a stand-alone HEA book, containing scenes of a sexual nature and one incident of mild violence. The first book I have read by this author and certainly not the last.
This book centres on Libby Graves, who takes a job she would rather cut her own arm off coyote style than deal with a man who is all over the headlines giving the impress he thinks he’s god gift to woman, music’s out of control bad boy who needs a baby sitter not an assistant. Sadly, she doesn’t have a choice if she wants to finish the final year of her degree, she must bite the bullet. He is nothing she hasn’t dealt with before, Libby grew up being her Dad’s assistant when he was with world famous band the Grave diggers, but it’s a life she wants away from. Her dad is the one who put her in this circumstance, as he’s currently serving 8 months in prison for not paying his, and the government seized all their assets to pay it back. Meaning Libby has had to move in with her best friend and take the job she doesn’t want as the moneys good and it will go a long way to paying for her final year. Then she can be free of this life, if she still wants to be.
Knox Rivers the one who steals hearts with his music and breaks them with his behaviour, or at least that’s what the papers show of him, for some reason he realises that he wants to show Libby that he is so much more and he gets the opportunity to show Libby that he isn’t all that he is portrayed in the newspapers when they are stuck together for a couple of months on a tour bus and sharing hotels. He realises he has been missing this, having someone to help him day-to-day someone to rely on. It just makes him more determined to show her and make her realise, he can be trusted.
Will she get over her fears that all men are the same, not worth the effort or trust of a long-term thing? Just good for one thing? Will he show her he can be trusted and not to believe everything she reads along the way. Charity Ferrall has put a new spin on an age old story, and the new spin works, I couldn’t put this book down.
