A very entertaining short read. There is so much to love in this read. The puppy, kid, instant love relationship. The humorous antics of all. It is a good curl up with read. I liked the way the story flowed with the characters. I recommend it. I received a review copy from booksprout and voluntarily review it.
I thought this was going to be some sweet romantic comedy when I saw the cover. I really enjoyed it, but I don’t think it can be considered a sweet rom-com by any means. 😉 Hot older guy with adorable toddler adopts a high energy puppy and then ends up falling for the next door neighbor’s daughter who is 20 years his junior. (She is legal.) Good story, hot romance, and a happy ending. Well worth the read.

Sweet, Sexy Romance!
Heartwarming characters had a challenging beginning before being able to find happiness. An excellent easy read with a great HEA. Enjoy!
I received an arc copy and am happy to leave my honest review.
Sadie is in a hard place as the story starts – she has just graduated with a journalism degree but has not been able to find a job, her boyfriend dumped her to go off to his career in New York, she is living at home with her parents and she has to find a home for the last puppy of the littler before he eats the couch cushions a third time. Everything changes when James the hot widower next door comes to adopt the last puppy for his three year old son. James is 20 years older than Sadie is taken aback by his attraction to the grown-up Sadie. He has not been attracted to anyone since his wife was killed three years earlier..
Over the course of the next few days, James learns that Sadie is strongly attracted to him as well and she does not see their age difference as significant. As James and Sadie explore their attraction, there is a lot of steam and heat. Thankfully, neither the puppy or the three year old are around in those situations.
I have not read books by Flora Ferrari prior to this and I find her writing style very interesting.

This book pulled me in and kept me entranced till the end. The feelings of love, hate, and pain coming out in waves making you want to cry while you read. This was such a beautiful book! I loved the characters’ wholesomeness!

Sadie is just out of college and trying to figure out what her next step is when her dog has puppies. She down to the last one to find a home for when her next door neighbor stops by with his son Smooch looking to adopt the puppy. Sparks fly between them as they discuss the pup and his son. Sadie is completely honest about how destructive the dog is but James still wants it for his son. When they start seeing each other Sadie never thought it would be anything beyond friendship but its not long before things heat up between them and they are dating. James knows that she is the one to complete his family and isn’t about to lose her. What will her family think about them being together? Will James show them that he has changed from the closed off neighbor he used to be?
This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning to end. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

In this book we meet Sadie and James Smith and of course Simon (aka Smooch). Sadie was given 30 days to get rid of all the puppies in the litter. She has one left Max and he is so cute and cuddly that she hates to part with him. So she puts up fliers in the neighborhood and hopes to find Max a good home. When Smooch and Max see each other it is like there is an instant connection. Sadie has one of her own with James. James has been in a hole since his wife was killed. He has built large fences, he works a desk job instead of out on the streets and he spend time with primarily his son. So when he sees the flier for a dog he thinks it will be good for his son. Little did he know he might have just found something for himself as well. Can these two find a HEA or will it just be puppy love?
This is another amazing story by this author. It does have its ups and downs that I really want to tell you about. However I don’t want to ruin it for any other readers. I will say this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. The cuteness will have you unable to put it down as well. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
this puppy love is rather literally the connection to a dog – Max. The last pup of the litter Sadie has to find a home for. Returned home after earning her journalism degree. Max is sweetheart of a dog with some behavior issues – like tearing up and eating parts of couch cushions.
Max seems to be the perfect match for Smooch aka Simon. James and his son lost his wife to a shooting incident with the police force they were both members of, about a year prior to the puppy love. Single dad James has been a bit of a recluse since then, raising James with the help of his parents, who live at the edge of town, and working long hours at a desk job with the police as a detective.
Puppy and boy have an instant connection, as so the now grown up Sadie and detective James.
An HEA is on the way for them, once they work past some initial resistance by the family next door to James: mom and dad to Sadie.
James being more of his hero self and loyal to his Sadie helps with that, as does James swapping houses with his folks. The grandparents get side by side homes in town, easier for both sets, and more room at the edge of town home for Sadie and James with Smooch and Max – and whatever future additions are on the some day horizon.
sweet and steamy KU romance! I read it on Kindle Unlimited.

This was such a sweet and still hot romance. It is well written with nice storyline and plot. Main characters are well defined, described and they develop nicely through the story. A single father with a adorable son wants to adobt a puppy. She is a younger woman who have had a crush on him for years. Now she is back from college and still into him. But he is about the same age as his parents will it be possible to get by that? Can he open up his heart after what happened to him and his son?
A story written in dual POV which only adds more to the story. Because it gives the thoughts and feelings of the main characters to the reader and makes it more realistic.
Entertaining and enjoyable read.
This story is a great example that when one door closes, another one opens. This is what happens when Sadie opens the door and finds James and his son looking to adopt a puppy. She is seeing her neighbor in a new light and wants to get to know him more. This story has intrigue and suspense as well as intensity and passion. The characters add emotions and realism bringing the characters to life. Great story.

An outstanding and enjoyable read! The storyline is well-developed, well written, and relatable. It is drama-filled, funny, and witty; a fun fast pace page-turner that is intriguing with some ups and downs. Amazing characters; they are deep, strong, and just perfect for each other; the chemistry between them is intense and hot. Quite an enjoyable read and is strongly recommended.

This was a quick read. The characters and plot were fun. I adored Max the puppy and Smooch (James’ son). This was a story of insta-love basically. A perfect way to spend a short hour or two in the evening.
This book was written with a dual POV. The downside was the editing. There were several miss spelled words like “stake” instead of “steak”. There were a couple that I couldn’t figure out even after several re-reads.
This is one sweet romance and beautiful love story between an older guy and a younger woman. I just loved it even though I feel 20 years difference is a bit too much. When reading stories such as this one I often think about how it would look vice versa and that really sounds even much worse… Back to this one, I am giving it really well deserving four stars.

Puppy love…
This was a really sweet story. After losing his wife, James has shut himself off. Being a single father this isn’t a good thing. When he adopts a puppy from Sadie, his life changes for the better. The puppy, Max, provides Simon the friend he needs and Sadie provides James the love he needs.
