Those you love, know how to hurt you. Those you love, know what to hide, because they know what is unforgivable to you. Now that I know what Seth hid from me, I want the secret to be the lie. I don’t want to kill him. I don’t want to leave him. I guess that is why they say there is a fine line between love and hate. I love and hate that man with such passion, that it damn near hurts. But now, as … as we face down our shared enemies, as we are lead right back to an explosive discovery about my family, and to the night Seth and I parted ways, we will both be exposed in every way. And it’s time for me to decide if I plan to love Seth Cage for the rest of my life, or kill him, before he kills me.

“I’m CIA. We do whatever we want and say we didn’t.”
The only problem with that is determining the good guys from the bad guys. And when someone is trying to kill you, and you don’t know who it is, you can’t rule out the agent you’re in love with, right? When the bullets start flying, who determines if you are the target or just collateral damage? What an amazing finale to this action-packed addictive serial told from Amada’s POV. Now that she’s come out of hiding, she fills us in on all the missing facts that led to her 3-year absence.
Some previous events are recounted with additional details filled in, giving us a clearer picture of where her head was at when she made the decision to leave her job, and her heart.
Amanda was raised by CIA parents. She’s been in the life from birth. She was conditioned to sacrifice everything for her country, including her life. When a threat from her past resurfaces, she finds herself right back in the thick of danger. Willing to put herself in the line of fire to battle her enemies and to protect lives. But the evidence against her is strong, assuring that she’s living on borrowed time once the benefit of her specialized skills is no longer needed. Will she be able to prove her innocence before the man she loves does what he’s been ordered to do? “Seth is the Assassin. He is my poison.” That’s saying a lot since she’s the ‘Poison Princess’ and she doesn’t have an antidote for how he makes her feel. There’s not a single formula in her lab that can take away the pain of losing him.
As new players are introduced and more secrets revealed the suspense builds. Time is running out and danger is getting closer and closer as they scramble to learn the truth before it’s too late. People from their past resurface and the facts become cloudy. What’s true and what is staged to appear that way? Who can be trusted? Who will be left standing at the end of this epic finale? Does love really conquer all?
Lisa has turned me into an espionage aficionado, keeping me on the edge of my seat, anxious to turn the next page while expecting the boogyman to jump out at me when I do. What a rush! I also kinda have a new crush I’d love to see more of. Fingers crossed there’ll be more #Bear in my future. Should we start a petition? The line forms here…
Poison Kisses: Part 3 starts where Part 2 left off. So, yes you need to read part 1 & 2 first. This is a spin off from Dirty Money Series and you don’t have to read it but, it is a very good series.
Thank you! Lisa Renee Jones in doing the recaps at the beginning of the book. She has done this on several of the books that I have read by her and it is always helpful.
The suspense in Poison Kisses is so good and Seth and Amanda have so much chemistry together.
Amanda is the “Poison Princess” her choice for kills is “poison”. And, Seth is known as “the Assassin”. Seth and Amanda are both ex CIA agents. Seth accepted an assignment to kill Amanda but he says he took the assignment so no one else would get it. I don’t want to say more because I don’t want to give anything away.
I really enjoyed Poison Kisses: Part 3 and I give it 4.5 stars. Loved the 3 part series. And, I just know there will be more. I can’t wait!
(3.75 stars)
At first, I found it a bit odd that part three was from Amanda’s POV since the first two were from Seth’s but now having finished I can’t imagine it any other way. The story needed it. Her POV brought many things to light. The only reason I rated this lower than the rest of the series was due to the ending. Normally this wouldn’t be a factor but after three serials the ending was a bit anti-climactic. Especially after all the build up and to me that was the reason for the entire story. It’s still a good series and I would recommend it in a heartbeat.
Poison Kisses: Part 3 is the conclusion in the Poison Kisses Series. It cannot be read as a stand alone so please make sure you read Part 1 and 2 prior. It picks up after Part 2.
I think this was the best installment for me. While I’ve liked the entire series, I liked that we get Amanda’s POV. There is some repetitiveness when you first start the book but don’t worry, it’s not like that at all. It’s really just to set you up to her POV. With her version, I was able to get to know her more and understand just how strong she really is. Sure, she’s a scientist and a former CIA agent but Amanda is one tough cookie who ultimately has always needed love but didn’t know it.
Poison Kisses: Part 3 provides us with the most action and thrilling drama out of all of them. I don’t want to give anything away but their mission becomes multiple missions and many people are involved. They have to face some hard truths and some potentially dangerous situations.
Seth and Amanda’s love for each other has not died down in the past three years and being back together has show them that they were meant for each other. The entire time that they are trying to save the world, they are showing each other what love means to them and how much the belong together. It was fun to see their tough acts break a little big. Especially with Seth and Julie, the cat. Haha.
Overall, I enjoyed this book and this series. I wanted more from Seth since the Dirty Money Series and this allowed me to get his and Amanda’s story. It’s full of hate to love with some CIA and terrorist drama that keeps things interesting. Give it a go!
Poison Kisses: Part 3 by Lisa Renee Jones is the third and final installment of a three-part serialized story surrounding Seth, whom we met in her Dirty Money series and Amanda the woman that broke this super-spy’s heart.
This last book switches to Amanda’s POV and picks up immediately following the ending of book two. She sees something on Seth’s phone that implies he has something to do with her parents death. Things are definitely NOT what they seem but how can she see this and still love and trust the man it accuses? Not to mention they still have a terrorist attack to stop happening.
Wrapping up loose ends and getting their happily ever after this story takes us on the final leg of the journey of their reunion, Well-written, well-paced and action-packed. Enjoy!
The conclusion to Seth and Amanda. I love Seth and Amanda (and Julie). Amanda has grown on me and she is worthy of Seth.
Bear is great! And the team! So glad Seth called the in.
The ending of the book wrapped things up quite nicely. Almost too neat. I have to say I was looking for a bit more danger. I mean, Seth exudes danger and Amanda is his match. But it edged on danger and didn’t quite cross over enough for me.
And Seth’s decision? Noooooooooo! He can’t! I get it but he can’t!
All in all, Poison Kisses was great because we got to know the real Seth.
This book is a bit different in the way it’s being released, instead of one long novel it is being broken down into three novellas that can be read in an afternoon…at least that is how I have read it. All three books are available now. It’s up to you how you would like to enjoy them, separately or all together.
We finally get all the answers and then some! This installment picks up right where the second one left off, and YIKES it was a doozy, I was seriously expecting the Princess of Poison to let Seth have some of her infamous touches that would lead to some serious hurt but I have to say that I was really happy when she saved that for someone else. I’m not going to give anything away but there are many facets to this case they are trying to solve and we get to the heart of it all in this third and final installment of Poison Kisses.
Was I happy with the way things turned out? ABSOLUTELY What I liked even more is that there is room to grow, I can definitely see more books with Seth and Amanda and I would love that! The chemistry between the two is scorching hot but what is even better is that they work well together, it’s rare to find a couple that can be together twenty-four hours a day seven days a week and still not only get along but crave one another and that is what we have in this couple. So I am seriously hoping that we will follow them along on their next journey.
**I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Readers Copy of this book**
This concluding part 3 story is tense, heart pounding and dramatic. The race to find the toxin and its antidote is down to the wire. Amanda and Seth with the help trusted friends, an Agency higher up and a unexpected source stope the bioterrorism plot in its tracks. Free at last to finally love and live their lives, they get their well deserved HEA.
3.5 stars
Quick and to the point. Lisa Renee Jones doesn’t leave you hanging in the conclusion of Poison Kisses. An elaborate setup, murder, and a terrorist plot will have you questioning who to trust, deciding if a life on the run is worth it, and who is behind it all.
I enjoyed Poison Kisses. It’s a different approach to Ms. Jones’ writing. I had fun but it felt over too quickly.

POISON KISSES part 3 is the third and final instalment in Lisa Renee Jones’ contemporary, adult serialized POISON KISSES romantic suspense story line focusing on two former CIA agents: 31 year old scientist Amanda Skye aka Poison Princess, and thirty five year old Seth Cage aka The Assassin.
NOTE: POISON KISSES Part 3 contains some scenes of light spanking and discipline.
Told from first person point of view (Amanda Skye) using present day and memories from the past POISON KISSES Part 3 picks up immediately upon the events of Part 2 wherein Amanda believes that Seth has been ordered to terminate the people that she loves. With more questions than answers Seth and Amanda will continue their search for a biological weapon and the people involved but information leads Amanda to believe that she knows who is ultimately responsible, and is determined to take down those in charge. The CIA has placed a target on our heroine’s back, so that Amanda and Seth must remain one step ahead of those trying to take her down including their CIA handler ‘Bear’ who may or may not be assigned to terminate our story line heroine.
Throughout the serial, the relationship between Amanda and Seth is one of second chances but both believe the other is responsible for the pain and suffering each endured following their last assignment. Working together forces our couple to open up and reveal what happened years before-information that surprises our story line couple. The $ex scenes are passionate, intimate and intense.
POISON KISSES Part 3 is the culmination of three instalments that follows Amanda as she battles her head and her heart; and Seth as he pursues and protects the woman he has always loved. The premise is intriguing, intense and exciting; the characters are colorful and passionate; the romance is seductive. There is a another cross-over with the author’s Dirty Money series with the addition of Rick Morgan ( Emily Steven’s brother). Here’s hoping for a future story line for both Rick Morgan and Bear.
The super, amazing finale of Poison Kisses has arrived, and once again, Seth and Amanda are pitted on opposite sides of a gun barrel.
At the end of part 2 Amanda had been left reeling in the aftermath of a text messages she accidentally intercepted on Seth’s cell phone. It made her question everything about her and Seth’s new budding relationship and whether she could truly trust him.
This final installment is told in Amanda’s POV, after Seth hogging the limelight for the first 2 novellas, we get a little bit of a recap of the events from those previous books as seen from her eyes and then continue where part 2 finished off. We have flashbacks placed strategically throughout the story, helping to fill in the missing pieces from when Amanda and Seth were apart, and from earlier with her parents.
It was helpful to see where she was coming from, and just how much Seth affected her. I knew she was a kick-ass heroine but she really shines here and doesn’t hold back, not even when she has to face a truth she’d rather not comprehend.
Seth is horrified when he discovers that Amanda has seen the message that was sent to his phone. She’s all set to shoot on sight when he catches up to her and it takes everything he has to convince her to trust him again.
He knows it’s hard but it’s something she’ll have to do if they are going to work together.g
The clues keep building to where the toxin is being kept, and Seth and Amanda are hard on it’s trail. More information surfaces about what happened three years ago and the trap closes in on the bad guys.
I really loved this story and was happy with how it ended. Even the opening for more from these two, or just in this ‘Dirty Money’ world.
They have one common goal. Survival! Happiness seems out of their hands, but temptation is an ever constant companion. Can their killer instinct survive their heart’s desire? The danger is real. The attraction is strong and the heartache can be deadly. Cliff jumping is an adrenaline rush but a dangerous past time. Therein lies the thrill. Poison Kisses is a risky endeavor, but a rewarding experience.
