Looking to get lucky? Stephanie Plum is back between-the-numbers and she’s looking to get lucky in an Atlantic City hotel room, in a Winnebago, and with a brown-eyed stud who has stolen her heart. Stephanie Plum has a way of attracting danger, lunatics, oddballs, bad luck . . . and mystery men. And no one is more mysterious than the unmentionable Diesel. He’s back and hot on the trail of a little … trail of a little man in green pants who’s lost a giant bag of money. Problem is, the money isn’t exactly lost. Stephanie’s Grandma Mazur has found it, and like any good Jersey senior citizen, she’s hightailed it in a Winnebago to Atlantic City and hit the slots. With Lula and Connie in tow, Stephanie attempts to bring Grandma home, but the luck of the Irish is rubbing off on everyone: Lula’s found a job modeling plus-size lingerie. Connie’s found a guy. Diesel’s found Stephanie. And Stephanie has found herself in over her head with a caper involving thrice-stolen money, a racehorse, a car chase, and a bad case of hives.
Plum Lucky is an all-you-can-eat buffet of thrills, chills, shrimp cocktail, plus-size underwear, and scorching hot men. It’s a between-the-numbers treat no Evanovich fan will want to miss!

Just when Stephanie thinks her life is getting back to normal she gets a visit from Diesel. Grandma decides to take a road trip to Atlantic City and its up to Stephanie to bring her back. Diesel is on his own mission to track down a leprechaun. By strange fate the leprechaun and Grandma cross paths with a gangster and it’s up to Stephanie, Diesel, Lula and Connie to rescue Grandma and a horse. Add to that the mystery of Stephanie’s disappearing bras and it’s almost a guarantee that you will laugh your butt off.
Never read a Plum novel I didn’t like. Each novel has at least one scene that will have you blowing coffee through your nose laughing. Beware!
This book is awesome it’s one that you just don’t want to put down
What a fun book to read!!!
stephaniesrikes again
I like this series with Diesel
Love Jannets books
This was by far my favorite between the numbers. For some reason, Diesel has grown on me during this book. It was just as funny and engrossing as the rest of the Stephanie Plum books. Highly recommend this book.
As with every book she writes it was a fun read, always hilarious. Light and breezy
I have re-read this book several times. It makes me laugh out loud!
Janet E is SO entertaining. Love these “between” books.
ALL of Janet E’s books are fabulous!!! So glad she is continuing to write more than Stephanie Plum’s adventures, although as soon as a new Plum is out, I have to get it and read it.
4 of 5 stars to Plum Lucky, one of four “in-between” novellas in the “Stephanie Plum” mystery series, written in 2008 by Janet Evanovich. As if she didn’t have enough already going on, Evanovich released several short books in between the various series she’d been writing, this time linking together Stephanie and Diesel, from one of her other book series. And as if Stephanie didn’t have enough going on with Ranger and Morelli, now she’s lusting after a possible ghost man. Well… so are we all, so are we all…
Atlantic City becomes the focus in this holiday edition where Stephanie’s tracking down her crazy grandmother. The antics with Lula are fantastic. Add in a few other core characters and you’ve got the usual ride. I like these because they are shorter, easier to read in full in about 2 hours. It’s humor and wicked fun wrapped up in memorable characters. Less about the mystery and suspense, more about the laughs. It’s a nice break, but I do prefer the longer mysteries.
Perfect book
I’m not a huge fan of the Diesel character.
All of her books are good.
If you just want a light fun book to read, pick up any of Janet Evanovich’s books.
They are silly and fun.
This book is action-packed and entertaining. Janet Evanovich creates the most entertaining characters. The narrator, Lorelei King, is fabulous! She is the absolute best at creating entertaining voices. You have no trouble differentiating between characters. Stephanie Plum, a bounty hunter, is a street smart Jersey girl. Those street smarts come in real handy as well as having her “bodyguards” Diesel and Ranger at the ready.
This is #13.5 of the Stephanie Plum book series.
Stephanie is back and looking to get lucky in Atlantic City. She has a way of attracting danger, oddballs, bad luck and Diesel. Stephanie finds him particularly appealing. Diesel has come back and is trying to catch a little man in green pants. The little man fancies himself a leprechaun and he has lost a giant bag of money. Problem is, the money doesn’t belong to him, and it isn’t exactly lost. Stephanie’s Grandma Mazur found it, and she is headed to Atlantic City to hit the slots. Lula and Connie come in tow, as Stephanie tries to bring her Grandma home. The luck of the Irish is rubbing off on everyone though. Lula has found a job modeling plus size lingerie; Connie has found a guy; and Diesel has found Stephanie. Too bad Stephanie has found herself in over her head this time. She has come across money that has been stolen 3 times, a stolen horse, a car chase and a bad case of hives.
I really enjoyed this book in the series. It was a fun and funny adventure. I laughed out loud many times reading this story. Hope to come across more in the series as i have only read a few.
These are some fun offshoots of the Stephanie Plum Series that link in the supernatural characters from her ‘Wicked…” series. They’re a quick, fun read.
