Decent story but poor editing with misspelling, incorrect grammar, and words in wrong order or extra words in sentences.
Enjoy reading stories that take place in geographic locations I am familiar.
So so struggled to finish or was it the begin not sure.
Good read! I enjoyed this book! Although this plot of finding old letters is used a lot, Hill did it differently. I enjoyed the easy writing style and was surprised to find out the story behind the letters. I did use the dictionary on my Kindle for the British words but I didn’t find it a distraction. Great ending!!
Very poignant
Great storyline with twists and turns. Only negative was many grammatical errors or dropped words.
A cute story set in scenic San Fransisco. The author layers one mystery over another.
This book was an easy read with a fairly predictable plot line and just enough mystery to keep you reading to the end. Not a let-the-house-burn-down page-turner, but light entertainment to help pass the time.
I really liked the story and characters. It kept me entertained and wanting to read the next chapter. I like the way it jumped forward and backward in time, which made me have to keep up and keep reading.
The only downfall to this book was this BookBub/Kindle copy was so full of grammatical errors. Someone truly needs to edit that book and soon! I wanted to get out my red pen and correct the mistakes (of course I couldn’t on a kindle), but it was frustrating when reading and distracting.
Fantastic read
Very enjoyable read. Held my interest all the way through. I bought another by the same author because the plot was not your typical one and it grabbed my attention.
Very predictable, didn’t stay focused on one topic long enough for me.
Unusual read but I loved it, the ending was perfect.
Letters sent 30 plus years ago are found and the storyline continues
I really enjoyed this story! Actually, three stories in one! It was original in the way the story line was structured. I didn’t want to put it down.
A mystery that draws the reader in to follow not one, but mulitple love stories.
Characters were different but could be similar. Good ending for all
I enjoyed the interaction of the characters. It is great to show how women can help each other instead of tear each other apart. I really love the role of Ella and how she helps so many people without gossiping about them to others.
I enjoyed the storyline and characters, which is the only reason I read to the end. The editing was atrocious, with misplaced commas, misspellings, wrong words, etc. For example, “grabbled” was used instead of “grappled.” It bothered me so much (English major) that I most likely won’t read another of her books.
Great read. Very enjoyable. Not thought provoking but fun. The proofreader should be fired. Many errors in grammar and sentence structure. Extra words or wrong words in the middle of many sentences.
