TARYNI’m great at hiding. My past, my secrets, my family. But now I’ve met a man who threatens to expose me.He was meant to be a client, but it turns out, rock stars don’t do well with instructions.I’m tempted, turned on, and scared. There’s no room in my life for a brooding, hung over, injured drummer. But he’s not letting me hide.EASTONI’m a fake.No one knows the truth, and I’m going to keep it … hide.
EASTON
I’m a fake.
No one knows the truth, and I’m going to keep it that way.
That is, if I can stop finding trouble.
A gorgeous lawyer threatens to save me, but I’m not sure she understands.
I’m meant to be broken.
Doesn’t matter how much I’m drawn to her face, body and mind.
The less I say, the better.
Because she’s about to show what part of me’s still real.
PLAYING YOU is a steamy, slow burn, friends-to-lovers, rockstar romance that can be read as a standalone with a HEA. Each book in the Players to Lovers series is about a different couple. This series is complete!

Last in the series about Locke, Ash, Ben, and Easton. Real issues. Heart just breaks for Easton.
Well edited.
Easton has been the quite one throughout the previous 3 books. He is involved in an accident, hence Taryn coming into his life as his lawyer. Easton is facing a life-altering issue. He has been hiding his issue from his friends for years. Taryn slowly becomes aware of what is going on in his life. She has someone in her life that has a similar issue. Will it help her help Easton? Or will she turn her back? Taryn has a larger issue she’s been hiding herself. Will Easton be able to help her? Will they allow their secrets to keep them apart? Or will they draw on each other for strength to face the future together?
Each one has been my next favorite. Easton has struggled to deal with his issue by himself, taking the ‘if I don’t acknowledge it it can’t be true’ route. When he finally comes clean, his friends, family, and bandmates have to play catch up. Taryn herself has to learn to let others in and help her. This has been a sweet, emotional journey where everyone involved has matured and learned to rely on their friends and family. Looking forward to the journey for Nocturne Court. Enjoy!
This book was is so good. I have read this entire series and loved everyone but this one is one of my favorites. These two Easton and Taryn are so great I just loved them.
Eye opening for me. I learned a lot in this book. Being deaf does not make you any less human. Her ex husband forgot that fact or never thought of it at all. I understand better that you can live a full life and manage well. Some people dont want to admit they are wrong.

Wow, this is the first time that I have read from this author and let me tell you she totally impressed me. What didn’t I like, me crying. Just kidding I mean not about the crying but what I didn’t like…This story was heartbreaking but beautiful. These two suffered enough and they were so different that on paper they made no sense, but luckily for them that was so not important..Read but grab some tissues before but you will feel a happiness by the end.

Easton is a drummer in a rising rock band who has an accident after a concert. After it is discovered his blood alcohol level was above the legal limit, his friend find a lawyer for him. Into his hospital room walks Taryn, a beautiful lawyer. She’s a huge fan but manages to play the cool and distant lawyer. He is completely taken by her. I’m not going to say anything more because you need to read it to find out how the story unfolds.
This is an amazing book! Allison delivers a romantic, steamy, action packed story that pulls at your emotions and keeps you turning the pages. The main characters are expertly developed and seem to pop off the page. It’s a love story about two people who meet and form a relationship in-spite of each of them hiding their life altering secrets. In addition, the author throws in barriers, twist and heartbreaks. It is a fully developed storyline that is simply storytelling at its best. Throw in the sensual hot steamy scenes and you have a winner. I highly recommend this book to those of you who enjoy emotional rollercoaster romances on the steamy side. It is also for those who think true love can exist. Definitely worth the read.

First off, this is book four in a Players to Lovers series. I have not read the previous books in this series and my opinion is that it could be read as a standalone. I enjoyed reading about Taryn and Easton. Both of these characters have pasts and neither one of them is willing to loosen the ropes on their hearts. Easton gets into an accident and needs a lawyer, in walks the beautiful Taryn to his hospital room. Taryn is well aware of who Easton is when she walks into that hospital room but she can be calm and cool. This was a great story to read as the author unfolds the story and discloses the secrets that Easton and Taryn want to keep hidden but eventually feelings change and become more between these two. I loved that this is not a smooth road and the author throws in all kinds of challenges but it is also great to read how these challenges effect the characters and hopefully move them into a future.

This is a well written book with an intriguing story line. The author brings two strong characters , gives them a hot chemistry and tons of baggage to deal with. She does a great job building the story and pulling you in with all the emotions running throughout. Her scenes are described in detail and she moves the story quickly and smoothly. I enjoyed and would recommend this book.

Except for the blasphemy, I enjoyed this read. Taryn and Easton both had secrets they thought would drive the other away. I cheered when they started to communicate.

It’s an unexpected surprise. Ketley Allison produced a book that’s not your average romance story. She made two people who are wrong for each other fall in love and actually gave us a HEA to die for. Loved Easton and Taryn.

Deeply emotional romance – bring your tissues!
This is an amazing story of two people who are so wrong for each other that they’re actually perfect together. East is the rockstar who can’t imagine life without his music, and Taryn is the lawyer who’s already learned to live without so much more.
This beautiful love story dives deep into the hearts of its characters as they search for meaning and purpose for their lives. Changes that can’t be avoided are met head-on in ways that will rip your heart out before stitching it back together. I loved every bit of it, and Taryn and East are a truly unforgettable couple. GRIPPING EMOTIONAL read!
An impacting emotionally read with inescapable twists that had my heart racing gasping in shock frantically turning the pages. Well written, intense, a rollercoaster of gripping emotions and impossible to put down. Playing You definitely checks all the boxes because when I didn’t think it could possibly get any better I was so wrong as the words hit with a force that was impossible to brace for not to mention the impact to my heart and mind. A must read.
This is a really great read but be warned it is a really emotional heartbreaking read at times. I liked both Easton and Taryn they are great characters but both have baggage will they be able to move forward and be there for each other. This was a really great book it was well written and kept me hooked right until the very end.
Playing You is an in your face to every critic that says romance is nothing more than a fluffy fantasy. Ketley Allison proves the nay sayers wrong with an emotionally, powerful tale of courage. Easton has a secret that will break your heart. On the precipice of despair, he finds an avenging angel. Taryn knows heartache. Her baggage keeps her strong. Easton is a weakness, she knows she doesn’t need. Her head is telling her to walk away, but her heart is intent on changing all the rules. Playing You is heartbreaking, inspiring and unforgettable. Allison proves that when you have something to say, nothing can stop you from using your voice and following your heart.
