This book was fantastic. On the edge of my seat to end of book. How the Billionaire’s play his cards is well intriguing and interesting. Will she get her job back? How will she solve this problem of hers?
Recommend this book and will read again.
Pippa Roscoe knows how to write a story filled with emotion and lots of sizzle, as we meet Sia and Sebastian who both are playing a game that could very possibly turn to love as they spend fourteen days together, while Sia is trying to prove that she was right.
Sia has spent her life trying to build her reputation in the art world after what her father had done, and now it looks as though someone is trying to get away with theft at her expense, she has come too far to let it go so when she is suspended from her job authenticating paintings Sia goes out to prove she is right, this may change her life and the way she thinks.
Sebastian is an exiled Duke he is caring and loving but is also determined to get back at the people who caused his life to change when he turned eighteen. He has made his way in the world and is now a self- made billionaire, even if he cannot visit his home country of Spain. So he is not expecting to meet up with Sia when the last of his revenge plans goes wrong, and fourteen days together is life changing for Sebastian and he opens his heart to the beautiful Sia.
I really enjoyed this one, it is filled with emotions that flow from the pages, I loved seeing both Sia and Sebastian open up to each other and find their true selves inside, which in turn saw them fall in love so beautifully, with the added joy of visiting London, The Caribbean and Siena. I do highly recommend this one for anyone who loves to solve a little mystery and who loves a caring and fabulous hero and a strong, determined and loving heroine.
A quirky take on an enemies to lovers romance that will have you intrigued! PLAYING THE BILLIONAIRE’S GAME by Pippa Roscoe begins a bit slow, but as we become entrenched into the background of both characters, things get real rather quickly and the pace picks up. I enjoyed their connection!
Sia is a complex character. She’s worked hard to overcome her father’s reputation in the art industry to carve out a place of her own, but the games being played are threatening the life she’s built for herself and she’s not going to stand for it.
Sebastian has a kind heart. He didn’t mean to bring Sia down with his plan for justice, but he can’t undo what’s been done without hurting other people he cares about. I enjoyed watching them find their way through it all to come out on the other side.
I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys art and romance. The characters are intriguing and the story line is fresh.
This book had me gripped from the off, the Thomas Crown inspiration very evident and very well executed. The brief snippets from an interview being interwoven with the storytelling is just genius and had me so enthralled. As for the tale itself, what a journey for both Sia and Sebastian!
It’s packed with emotion, the roles their family played in shaping who they are and who they need to become in order to find happiness…just beautiful!
And a huge bonus to this tale, is the appreciation of art itself, the meaning behind it, the emotive ways to describe it, the pleasure one feels when looking at something that took so much passion to create. Fabulous!
I can’t recommend this book enough, especially in the present climate where we can’t travel at all, in these pages you get to experience London, the Caribbean, AND Italy. What more could you want?!
