Terrific
What a great story. She needs a job and is hoping the job interview goes well. Mack warns her about the suit. Little did she know the fighter she was flirting with was the suit.
Playing Games (Canyon Cove, #1) by Liliana Rhodes .. I give this 4 1/2 stars… I wasn’t to sure at first I thought it moved a little fast…then I caught up and fell in love with Gabriel…at first I thought him a devil but he is really an angel … then there is Cassie…she fell a little fast but who could blame her… then add in Wendy and Dakota…stir well and get to your HEA.
At 27 years old, the main character, Cassie, is immature. In spite of having a doctorate in physical therapy, at 27 she is so financially strapped that she has to sell her car in order to pay rent for a shared hovel in a run down section of the city. She is willing to enter a men’s shower room against better judgment for to be caught could mean losing her “dream job”. While enamored by the towel-wrapped man, Gabriel, in the shower room, she allows him to grab and kiss her without knowing anything about him. And she doesn’t call him out for his aggressiveness. Sexual harassment is apparently OK as long as the man is drop dead good-looking. She is not a role model for women who want to be treated respectfully. The initial relationship between Cassie and Grabriel is unhealthy but the author makes it seem OK. All’s well that ends well, I guess. I wouldn’t recommend this book.
I’m really enjoying this series and this book was a great addition to it. I love the chemistry between Cassie and Gabriel. Can’t wait to read the other books in the series.
An enjoyable romantic well written sweet love story. This smooth flowing story includes some secrets, financial struggles, insecurities and romance with well developed, relatable, passionate characters with a mix of some steamy hotness. A great series addition, I love it’s a standalone with recurring characters. I voluntarily read and reviewed this incredible ARC and can’t wait to read more romantic adventures.
The story was well written, light and easy with great chemistry.
I really enjoyed reading this book and I would recommend it
Great story line with many twists and turns plus and interesting, well rounded characters
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I like this book. I want to read more about these two characters.
Such a good book, great story line. Love the characters
Steamy throughout…
Gabriel has such a wonderful heart. Loved this book!
In the middle of the night feeding a baby you find some different books. I found, “Playing Games” by Liliana Rhodes, is one of those nights that Cassie wouldn’t sleep. Cassie Monroe moves to Canyon Cove hoping to change her life. But after one sexy MMA fighter kiss, she’s having a hard time thinking of anything else but him. Will Cassie succeed in keeping things professional with him or will she fall for his games?
This book started really fast through the whole book. With one kiss Cassie was obsessed with him as he was in her. I felt like it felt rushed and not how love really is. But I really liked the two main characters and found that they were round and not flat at all. I really liked the story line of this story but I felt like this one book could make a whole series.
An ok book. Just felt really rushed. You don’t get invested in the story. Which maybe me think “yeah, so.” You do get a HEA, but its also rushed.
I’m not a fan of books where the potential male love interest forces himself on the woman seconds after they meet and it’s supposed to be sexy.
Well…not the worst book I’ve ready. But I didn’t find very well written, it just didn’t flow well, I found it almost boring… I think I will pass on the rest of this series.
Weak female lead
Must read!
Loved it so much. I enjoyed each second of it and the happy ending has me smiling a lot.
recommend it.
An enjoyable read
