My girls do not disappoint with their latest Valentine Bay book!!
Sensual, sexy, and sweet all at the same time in the most fabulously sultry way that blew even me away, the avid reader of Melanie Shawn novels…
The story has it all, the small town vibes with the blessings and the meddling, the best of friends that becomes the family of your heart, the romance that sweeps you off your feet and is adorable, lovable, and seductive, and I enjoyed each of these elements and how they played part in the tale and the development of the relationship between Troy Valentine and Broadway star Alison Bartholomew.
But what really sets this story apart, what had me to tear up, my heart to swell a few sizes, and want to cheer out loud, that was Mila and both Troy and Alison’s relationship with her. That girl stole my heart in the first Valentine Bay book, but oh my, here, with her performance, and the town’s response, I felt like I was a proud auntie in the audience applauding her until my hands were sore. And yes, there were tears all over my face as I read that scene.
Troy and Alison are just so perfect together, in each and every possible way, that it is delightfully cute and deliciously delectable. The chemistry, the connection, the celebrity status, the interests, their love for Mila, it all just fits, it is harmonious and beautiful and mixed with all the other elements of the book, vastly entertaining.
And after enjoying the funny, the amusing, the touching, and the steaming — it was the last sentence, just three words that pulls the whole story together in a brilliant way, that brought me to my knees, figuratively speaking, and brought all the feels, the smile, and the tears that only a fabulous story manages to draw out of me.

This is, by far, my favorite Valentine Bay read yet!! It sucked me in from the start, and kept me there with the chemistry between Troy and Alison, the banter between Troy and Mika, and the whole Valentine Bay crew. There was very little drama in this read, just an overall, feel good read I would definitely recommend!!
Loved Troy and Alison. This series just keeps getting better!
Troy is a wonderful stand up guy who puts his life aside to raise his little sister Mila, so that makes him a pretty awesome person. You really get caught up in the banter ,funny comebacks and sassy comments between Troy and Alison. Great plot and wonderful characters with a little hotness added in. Awesome job by Melanie Shawn
Loved Troy and Alison. They were not looking for love, commitment or anything in that nature but they found it anyway. Fighting the inevitable only makes it that much sweeter in the long run. Alison was hiding out from her life basically and Troy was just in my opinion surviving. Yes they were content with their lives but weren’t happy. I love when authors include characters from previous books i theory stories and this one had that. I would absolutely recommend this book and i give it a 5 star rating!
Troy Valentine is the perfect book boyfriend that you love & want in your life! When his parents are killed in a car accident, he drops his promising baseball career to go home & raise his younger sister. He’s hard working & considerate of others feelings but he’s definitely not a wimp!
Alison is a celebrity on the theater circuit but is trying to lay low for a while. She is truly a nice person. Even though she was a judge on a reality show, she couldn’t bring herself to be critical of the contestants. She wanted to give them positive reinforcement. When she was woken up on the first day of her sabbatical by hammering & lots of noise, her solution is to make coffee & offer it as she asks for peace & quiet.
Alison & Troy are perfect for each other. They are so afraid of letting people down. Troy’s sister Mila adds a comic element to the story with her adoration of Alison & the way she talks to Troy. This story had all of the emotions & even some physical comedy with Troy & Alison’s mishaps. It’s a completely wonderful story!!
I have been waiting for Troys story since the beginning of the series. Troy gave up his pro baseball career to go home and raise his sister after their parents untimely death. Alison is in Valentine’s Bay to get out of the hustle of New York and Broadway. Alison rents a house by the cliff and the first morning is woken up by construction being done next door and meets Troy who is renovating the property next door. Sparks immediately fly between the two. This is a sweet quick read that I really enjoyed.
This is a very sweet romance and a nice addition to the series. The oldest Valentine sibling is about to meet his match. The Broadway star in need of a break meets the small town hero busy raising his baby sister. The sparks are flying and they’re off. A cute and charming story.
