My last single friend just got married, leaving me roommate-less. When Rory shows up at my door, I’m more than a little surprised to find out that a guy has answered my ad. Living with a man wasn’t exactly what I had in mind. Especially one as handsome as Rory. He’s charming, confident, and…completely off limits. He’s a total player. And I don’t want to end up getting played. But when all the … all the other applicants don’t seem to be a good fit, I can’t help but let my mind wander back to him. What’s the worst that could happen if I let him move in? It’s not like I’m going to fall in love with him…

Why am I hesitant to read books that don’t directly involve the untouchables?! This book was amazing ! I absolutely loved the wolf pack! I felt sooo uncomfortable during the first half because of how awkward Keira was! I was blushing for her! She definitely just went for it. It made me uncomfortable because I am definitely on the shy side, so the things she did would be mortifying if I did them!
I always want books told from both perspectives of characters, and this is one where I am begging Ivy to write their first meeting and maybe the poker game and party scene from Rory’s perspective! I want to know more about what was going on in his mind! I also want a book about Connor!
I loved watching the relationship build between Rory and Kiera. This is a must read!
Three times a bridesmaid, never a bride. That was how the old saying went. But Keira hadn’t been a bridesmaid just three times. All her friends had entered an exciting new chapter in her life, and she had been left behind, desperately seeking another roommate as her last one tied the knot. When Rory arrived at her door she wasn’t what Kiera expected at all, mainly because she wasn’t a she. This godly Adonis was all male, but unfortunately he was all playboy too, and Kiera had fallen for his charms the moment their eyes had met. Determined to win him over she tries to play him at his own game, but when every past relationship has left her feeling she has nothing to offer, can she really offer a playboy enough to get him to change his way?
Playing a Player is an amazing romcom written by Ivy Smoak. I first read this book last year, and it is one of those reads that stays with you. I don’t remember the last time I laughed, cringed, and grinned at a book this muck. The chemistry is Smoaking hot (yes I went there) A common trait in all Ivy’s books is you fall in love with the characters and become so invested in the plot that its hard to tear yourself away, the Sweet Cravings series is no different. You’re gathered in a whirlwind of excitement and emotion that leaves you hungry for more. Sexy, fun, and engaging, this book has everything to offer from mischievous hunks to heart wrenching moments. I rarely reread books, but I’m currently finishing my second round of all of Ivy Smoak’s books. If you haven’t picked up on of her books yet, don’t wait any longer.
This book started out okay. But somewhere along the way, I stopped caring about the main characters. Keira was pathetic and immature. And Rory wasn’t likeable at all. He was a jerk.
Dud
Funny at times but not my favorite from this author. Did not care for H/h characters.
Not Bad
I am a little torn here. There were a couple of laugh out loud moments but there were several eye rolling moments too. Other than the fact that Rory is extremely sexy, there was no chemistry between or show of why they loved each other. It was just stated. The h was a little to crazy and desperate for me.
We all have known one, a “player”. And we all enjoy it when they meet their match.
Loved the whole series!!
Not for me
Wanted to like it more. Sadly, I think the main character was overly desperate in her attempts to woo a guy that, frankly, didn’t even seem worthy of much attention. Why? Because he was hot. Sorry, I need a bit more depth from the characters to really appreciate a story.
Well written, not interesting to me.
Fun and steamy and silly
Laugh out loud funny. Terrific characters. Thoroughly enjoyed this by. I haven’t laughed so hard in a very long time-thanks for that
Some awkward scenes, but the story as a whole really makes it work. Really loved the struggle between the two lead characters and the resolution in the end.
When Rory and Keira start rooming together can they resist the chemical reaction they have to each other? Keira doesn’t know how to show Rory she’s interested so she asks him for advice and then starts using his advice against him. Read this fun book to see how the two work out.
