Playboy’s Heart is the second half of Xander and Imani’s story and should be read in order for maximum enjoyment.
Xander propositioned Imani to be his fake fiance in order to land a position on the board of the prestigious Artist’s Trust. This position would not only give him his dream job but more importantly to Xander, put him in power to dismantle the life of his arch-nemesis, Alistair. Driven by his need for vengeance, he is ruthless in his attempts to ruin the man and may drive away the best thing to ever happen to him.
What started as a deal has since turned real. Imani brings a lightness to his life and they fall for each other but both are living separate lives and keeping secrets. Will these secrets tear them apart before they even begin?
If I’m being honest, Playboy’s Heart was my least favorite of the royals series. This was supposed to be a redemption story and although, thankfully the author showed Xander finally getting some much needed help in dealing with his issues, at the end of the book, he returns to his pattern of destructive behavior, keeping secrets and behaving irrationally. Also, this book didn’t have the laughs and banter so readily available in the others books and I missed that quirky humor to break up the heaviest moments. Despite these few things, the backstory was great and was otherwise well written. It was nice to see our favorite couples near the end of the book, as well.

Firstly, make sure you’ve read book 1 in this duet, because you will not have a clue about what’s going on if you haven’t. This is the conclusion to Royal Playboy & you do not want to miss reading this book. The characters, as always for a book by Nana Malone, are wonderful & realistic. The situations they find themselves in are (often) all to heartbreakingly common. This book had a wealth of emotion & pain through it & I loved every moment. If you’re unfamiliar with this author’s other books, particularly the Winston Isles books, along with the books cowritten with M Malone, the inclusion of so many characters at the end my confuse things a little. Overall, this is a wonderful read that I only marked down to 4* because it felt a bit repetitive at times.
Playboy’s Heart brings us the conclusion to Xander and Imani’s story; and boy is it a shocker! As they fall in love, there is a dark force threatening Xander and Imani’s relationship. And, while Xander is trying to protect Imani, she is determined to stand on her own.

Playboy’s Heart is the second book in the Playboy Prince duet. It picks up where the first book ended! Let me say that I love Nana Malone and her writing. Imani and Xander are just as enticing. The biggest difference with this couple is that they have such demons to overcome that it makes their relationship difficult beyond sex and you can’t help but hope that they can overcome their pasts. I love her characters and how previous characters make appearances in this book.
This book has it all! Another wonderful read!
I loved it so much that I read it twice. Three times if you count the original from many years ago. I enjoyed every minute of it and was so glad that Nana added the prince angle to the new version. Sweet broken Xander tore at my heart. The pain he and Alexi endured as children tore at my heart but Xander is so much braver than he thinks. A person has to be brave to endure a horrific childhood and survive it. Imani was perfect for him and he was perfect for her. Every word of this story was brilliantly written. Nana is the best. By the way Nana gets extra brownie points for adding a cameo of the baddest of badass women. Of course I’m speaking about Ariel who is my all time favorite character that Nana has ever written. Read all of the Royals books to learn more about Ariel and the Winston Isles gang. I’m excited to read Big Ben. Until next time y’all happy reading.
Once again Nana Malone had me on the edge. I was desperately awaiting this book after the way she ended book one of this duet. She kills me with the cliffhangers. And as usual, she delivered what I was hoping for plus some.
While I still don’t think I can pick between Xander and Lex, I definitely loved the conclusion to Xander’s story just as much. His and Imani’s romance was so beautiful. And of course there was the intrigue and suspense in the story that kept the pages turning as well.
I especially loved the conclusion and the unexpected choice. It leaves me with even more to look forward to then I originally thought for the future books. I’m so happy this series isn’t over and I don’t have to be done with all these characters. While Xander and Imani’s story has been shared, I know I haven’t seen the last of them either.
I absolutely love this author’s writing and I cannot recommend this book enough.
We were left hanging in Royal Playboy, now, we see how Xander will fight for Imani. I really loved Imani’s strength and courage. We witnessed the journey these two were on and it was worth the wait. There might be a trigger in Imani’s story, but it explains a lot. Xander has his own demons and will all come together. This ride that Ms. Malone takes us on is such a rollercoaster of emotions. I don’t know how she comes up with one great story after another. I need more from this band of royals.
Playboy’s Heart by Nana Malone. This is Book#2 of the Playboy Royal. As usual Nana Malone did her thing and close the duet out with a bang. This book is filled with mystery, suspense and twist and turns that will make your head spin. Lots of hot and explosive sex between Xander and Imani. To watch these two fall in love in spite of their past was great. I really wasn’t expecting the ending but after everything I can understand why. Love and Family always conquers all!!! Xander has definately come a long way and it took a special woman like imani to bring it out of him in more was then one. Hot and Spicy read!!!

Their relationship started with a contract, but what happens when lines blur? Both have their own baggage that makes it hard to trust. Can they overcome these obstacles to see where their relationship could go?
This story had a great plot with unexpected twists and turns. I love Nana Malone’s ability to mix romance & suspense. It was fast paced and thrilling story. I love seeing the royals from previous books. show up. There are wonderful characters that are easy to get addicted to!

Playboy’s Heart is the conclusion to Xander and Imani’s story, and it picks up right where Royal Playboy left off. I absolutely loved the conclusion to Xander and Imani’s story. I must say that their story is one of my absolute favorites of the series. Xander and Imani were truly meant for each other. They each brought out the best in the other, and made the other want to do and be better for the other person. Yes, I can admit that as a reader, it was a bit frustrating watching them go through this hashing out, but it was so well done, and showed just how much someone will change in order to be the person that his or her loved one needs, as well as to better one’s self. And watching them both learn that communication is key for any relationship to survive, because Xander was not the only one keeping secrets or failing to be forthcoming n this situation.
Xander’s transformation from Playboy to Husband was simply beautiful. He truly put in the work to address his demons, so that he could be the man that Imani needed and loved. Xander’s story really broke my heart. My heart broke for that little boy that was Xander Chase being abused by his mom’s boyfriend. Most of all my heart broke for adult Xander, because for so long he defined himself and his life by what happened to him in the past, and he allowed it to control so much of him until he met Imani. No one, not even Lexi, and boy, oh boy, does Xander love his little brother, was able to truly help Xander see that he was a good man who deserved happiness and healing except Imani. And what a beautiful, strong, independent woman Imani is. She is his perfect mate, even though at times she may have come off as too proud, but after having her control and her decision making taken away from her by her last boyfriend, Ryan, she needed to feel as though she was in control of her decisions.
Playboy’s Heart was a complete and total roller coaster of a ride shrouded in mystery, heartbreak, suspense, thrill seeking, rogue Royals, and some seriously hot and sensual chemistry combined with witty dialogue between the hero and heroine. We also caught up with many of the characters that we loved from the Winston Isles. Playboy’s Heart is an absolute joy of a read. I am seriously excited to see what Nana Malone gives us next in Big Ben, the See No Evil trilogy, because there are still questions that need to be answered!!! Bravo, on yet another excellent read, Nana Malone.
This is the conclusion to Xander and Imani’s story…it’s so freaking intense and a story that I couldn’t put down!!! I love the way the story kept moving and kept me wanting more!!! Xander and Imani are perfect for each other and as usual Nana Malone doesn’t disappoint when it comes to the Winston Royal’s.
After the nail-biting cliffhanger in Royal Playboy, the 2nd book wastes no time picking up where we left off. The story continues to go deeper into Xander and Imani’s complex relationship. Without giving away too much of the story readers have a chance of getting a better idea of how Xander’s past trauma shapes how he approaches relationships. Also, we are able to see how Imani is able to bring out another side of him and that he is worthy of love. While being there for Xander, Imani is also facing her own set of issues. Although both characters have their stubborn moments there was still plenty to enjoy. I think what is best is how the author is able to make complicated, but still relatable characters. Also, I love we were able to understand the story in current time but going back to see how things came to be. It is also always a treat when we check in the Team Winston Isles and the latest developments. Despite everything, I am glad that Xander and Imani are able to find their Happily Ever After. I am patiently waiting to hear Ben’s story.

And yet, years later, we see the same cycle occurring.
I felt the maturity that Xander has been trying to find at the end of this book. I found the end to be very fitting, and even a little comical. I think he made the right choices based on his family and his needs, both physically and mentally. I think he actually made very good choices in his final decisions. I found it interesting who the successor ended up being. I was truly surprised. I can’t wait to read more royals. They really are a fun bunch.
This picks up where Royal Playboy left off; and like I did the first book in the duet, I had a great time reading this book! Nana Malone really is a skilled writer. The story just flowed and before I knew it, I’ve already finished it.
Imani and Xander were perfect together. As different as they were from one another, both had experiences that were very similar. It was wonderful watching them help each other heal.
I was half-expecting this book to end with a cliffhanger (LOL) and was so glad it didn’t; although the hero in Big Ben was oh-so-briefly mentioned. Playboy’s Heart is a satisfying ending not only to the Playboy Prince Duet, but to the London Royal Duet as well. Looking forward to reading Big Ben!

Wow! This story took us on one wild ride! With suspense, drama, intrigue and passion you have a fantastic read! I loved Xander and Imani! They were made for each other! I loved getting to see Blake Security and the characters from previous Winston Isles stories! I can’t wait for the next book! Once again Nana has written another outstanding story!
Xander and Imani have been through alot in their pasts. The chemistry with them is explosive and we get to see how they met and what events led them to the present. A totally heartbreak of a story with a redemption for Xander. A good read.
Xander and Imani are back to give us an amazing conclusion to their beautiful love story. With a crown and his love by his side, he is determined to show Imani that he is worthy of his heart. Nana continuously gives us a romance that will make you invested in their journey. For Xander finding himself to be able to give his heart completely to Imani is the hardest thing he has to do. Battle his demons and finding that he can share all of him past and present to one person. For Imani, showing to herself and everyone that she is stronger than she looks is important, not to be stubborn but to be independent and an equal in her relationship with Xander. Some one he can share his demons with and know that they are equally capable to be there for the other in though times.
Another amazing read, that must be on everyone’s top 10!
Xander and Imani. I was on pins and needles to see how their story ended. The first book starts out in present day. Xander has taken on the responsibility to succeed his mom on the throne. Just a few minutes later he and pregnant wife, Imani are headed home and there are gunshots. Imani is shot. The rest of book 1 and most of book 2 goes back to the time they met, their story of how they became a couple. They are both broken. Xander lost his dad at a young age and when his mother became engaged to his future step-father, the man abused him and his brother, Lex. They ended up pushing him down the stairs during one of his drunken attempts at the boys and he died. His son was an older teenager at the time and not only did anything to help the boys, but actually helped hold the boys during some of their assaults. Xander spent most of his adult life plotting and carrying out his revenge on the almost step-brother. Amani met Xander while researching a role as an escort. The escort she interviewed was a standing escort for hire to Xander. He hired her as a friend and they never had sex. One night the escort couldn’t make her appointment and called Imani to stand in since he never had sex with her anyway. Imani needed the money to help out her alcoholic father and younger sister so she took the job. She and Xander had an instant chemistry connection and this began their relationship. Imani had a long-term boyfriend when she was younger and he took her virginity by force – rape. Because if this plus her issues with her dad, she had trust issues and also didn’t like to depend on anyone. The story unfolds as they try to heal and have a health relationship. Nana Malone does a wonderful job with this story and as usual, leaves the door open for another great story to continue.
I received an Advanced Reader Copy from the publisher and am voluntarily reviewing it. A continuation of the love story of Imani and Xander. This couple continues to go through it and has readers on pins needles. Xander’s take charge attitude just may be the thing that pushes Imani away especially when she finds out about everything he has done. Don’t get me wrong, the man is a sweetheart. It’s just the way he goes about it. It doesn’t hurt to talk things through, or does it.
We know the past and now we jump back to the future where Imani is alive and finally awake and the baby is doing well. Team Winston Isles is back in full effect and ready to get vengeance. You’ll love how this team comes together so quickly with a few of Blake Security and Arial’s ban of misfits to come up with a plan to stop yet another plot.
This series just cannot stop and I am here waiting for it all. Nana can bring life to her characters and make you understand their deepest emotions. Thank you.
Nana Malone has a hotline to my heart for sure. I don’t how she writes the perfect romance that makes my heart race, body sing and soul owned completely every single time. Playboy’s Heart is the sublime and breathtaking balance of suspense, steam and sweetness.
I don’t think I loved any of her heroes like I do Xander. Oh who am I kidding? I say that every time! But I really cannot resist. Xander has that special aura that is like fire to my heart. He is arrogant, controlling and dominating. But at the same time he is broken and tainted with an unstable temper and barely controlled violent edge. Like I want to hug him and heal him and protect him. And at the same time, I want to do naughty things with him. And I fall in more love and lust with him in this story. Because how he protected and cherished and loved her. Because how he became better for love of his life. He has drowned and silenced his sufferings in debauchery but Imani had filled his dark heart with light and hope.
And Imani is the changing force. She was once the woman who was abused and broken by a man. But now she is full of fireworks and sass and strength! And this is just amazing to read how she supports Xander through his darkest days and never let him push her away. Even when Xander tried to hide his pain and secrets, she was there as a steady support. And I cannot stop talking about their chemistry! It is so intense and mesmerising. And every soft, sultry, heartaching and angsty moment tugged at my heart painfully. Add the adrenaline filled twists and turns and I had an amazing ride! And I felt totally emotional to meet Winston Isles team at the end.
Playboy’s Heart by Nana Malone enticed me, captivated me and made me fall under her magical writing spell once again. Intriguing characters. Deep emotions. Sensational story line. And this is a must read romance for me.
