She’s my last chance.
Those four words echo in Violet Spencer’s mind, tugging at her curiosity even as rage builds within her.
Arbon Academy was supposed to be a bright new start. An opportunity for greatness, and something an orphan girl could only dream of. For a while there, it seemed to be exactly that.
But Violet’s bright future is suddenly looking dim. Arbon Academy and Prince Alex are … Academy and Prince Alex are nothing but a facade. A trap.
In a sinister world of ballgowns and backstabbing, of perfumes and politics, of indulgent parties and illegal sword fights, Violet now faces the biggest challenge of all. Recovering her shattered heart from the prince who crushed it.
Supported by her new friends, Violet wants to make Alex feel the pain of his betrayal. Prince Rafe wants nothing more than to help make that happen, but things aren’t always so straightforward.
Don’t break tradition.
Don’t let them know you know.
Don’t lose your heart… again.
These rules will keep Violet alive. But at what cost?

Seriously! What just happened! After the ending of the previous book I was absolutely looking forward for this one, Jaymin Eve and Tate James did not disappoint one bit. This book is even more action packed then the previous one. I love where the authors took Violet as a character. She is so amazing & this book made me love her even more.
I also love the shift in relationship that we see between Violet and Rafe and Jorden. All three of these characters go through some major growth in this book.
This book is a great fantasy read. I was hooked from the start and devoured every word. A great read, I really enjoyed it.
Deception, Desire and Dissidents!
A Very Emotive Read.

Playboy Princes (Royals of Arbon Academy #2)
Blimey, this was intense! Violet is being blackmailed in such awful, degrading ways. It’s effecting her mindset & selfworth. Thankfully she has a few great friends prepared to help where they’re able to. HDr heartache turns to rage, which translates into blinding fury in the ring! So much so that she’s approached by ‘the society’ to join their ranks!
She is being drawn, unwilling, further into the world’s political arena. She’s a pawn on their chessboard without power, even over her own person. A triangle is forming but that might even more dangerous for them all emotionally. Then the Resistance strikes against the Monarchies.
I’m starting book #3 immediately. The hook ending of this book was a killer!

MIND F***ING BLOWN!!
AND I THOUGHT BOOK ONE LEFT ON A CLIFFHANGER…..
Now I have seen some terrible reviews for this book and book one as well, that is perfectly fine but I LOVED it, so much! This book will not be for everyone because there are certain aspects of it that I could see getting to some people. Yes it is dark, and yes it is twisted but that is what is so good about it.
Secrets, twisted stories, more crowned princes than you will know what to do with all come together in book two of the Royals of Arbon trilogy. Violet was incredible in book one but in book two you see more of her character and the lengths she will go to not only to protect the group of people she has grown to love but also herself. You see more of Rafe and Jordan with Vi and you will be so torn between the two in the best possible way. Some questions were answered and even new questions are left unanswered. I can’t wait to see where Jaymin Eve and Tate James take the final book in this series and what that conclusion will entail!!
Holy hell, Violet was in over her head from the start but now that she’s finally taking back her control all this happens! Oh damn, yeah this was amazing. Non stop action, suspense and drama. I definitely need book three in my life ASAP! I 100% recommend this book and if you haven’t read book one, do it now and you can thank me later.
First of all, #TEAMRAFE always!!
I’m so conflicted! Not about the storyline of course but about this very confusing, very sexy love triangle. I am open minded of course, and am all for women empowerment but there’s a side of me that can’t help but hold a little resentment towards Violet not getting her shit together and choosing someone. But then there’s also another part of me loving every single dirty moment
Absolutely a phenomenal read that you won’t want too put down. I absolutely love these characters and the story will have you hooked. Violet, Rafe and Jordan are absolutely hot together and I definitely want more. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series especially how this book ended. I am completely obsessed.
This turned out to not be what I was expecting and I loved it.
I liked the first book (Princess Ballot) of this series enough to go on to this one. I won’t go any farther. Like the first, this one ends in a cliff hanger, nothing is really resolved. Spoiler Alert, don’t read any farther if you don’t want spoilers! The plot seems to exist just for the sex scenes and to embellish the love triangle. The female MC, Violet is intimate with two best friends who happen to be crown heirs of the two most powerful monarchies of the world. She seems to be attracted to one of them more than the other, so why she keeps the other one dangling is beyond me. Also, why do they (two supposedly powerful crown princes) put up with it? Plus, Violet just had her heart broken by the man she fell in love with within a week of getting to the Academy. Yet she dives into these relationships right away. I liked the first book much better. I’m no prude, but I do like a bit of plot with sex on the side, not the main dish. I’m not into these unbelievable love triangles with supposedly powerful people (who are betrothed to others, BTW), who have ‘fallen’ for someone without having had the time to even really get to know them.
“These violent delights have violent ends” -William Shakespeare
Don’t let the pretty cover fool you, this isn’t a simple story about a princess vying for the attention of multiple princes. It is a dystopian fantasy full of political espionage, a declining population and a secret society bent on destruction. Add to that a main character, Violet, who is a take no prisoners bad ass and you’ve got an incredible follow up to book one in the series, Princess Ballot. I fell further in love with Rafe and Jordan in this book. I’m not sure whether Alex is a sociopath or just suffering from a tragic case of misunderstanding. I’m inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt, but only very slightly. Playboy Princes ends in a pretty big cliffhanger that left me screaming “WTF?!” Book 3, Poison Throne can’t be released soon enough!
WHAT.
AN.
ENDING.
WOW. I read this book in hours. Devoured it like it was my last meal. I love this series. I love these guys. Jordan. Wow. He is just perfection. And Rafe, he steals my breath. I need Violet to live a long and happy life with both of these guys. And I really want to read Matties story. And Nolans story. I just love EVERYONE. And Rafes parents, they were wonderful. The fighting was AWESOME. I want to learn more about the back story into Violet/Violence and her sensei! 5 stars for book 2 and these authors once again!!!!
The last book left me assured that this was NOT a love triangle, not really at least. Book 2? It has me back to questioning that specific trope, and questioning it hard! Don’t get me wrong, people love the triangles… I just don’t. I am an RH fan, so don’t make me choose! That said, this story is just so dang good and compelling that I am swept away by the notion, even if an ultimate choice (or a tragic moment… shudder) eventually needs to be made. But just imagine a menage here… eh? I like that thought.
Those ideas aside, the action and drama pick up in book 2 in a BIG way. Alex’s betrayal is fully exposed, and the game is moving forward, dancing around the chessboard while dragging Violet into a potential checkmate. Her friends and lovers surround her, but when it comes to the Royals, that might not be enough. Especially when the Resistance gets involved and the hint of danger morphs into full fledged terror.
A fantastic story that weaves and flows from scene to scene, allowing the characters to breathe and grow, without stuffing superfluous moments that would mean nothing. Every page matters here, and they are all leading to an epic conclusion I can’t wait to read in Book 3.
… but back to Alex for a second. There is something more going on there. I’m not rooting for the fool, but the subtle nuances of the plot lead me to believe he is both predator and victim… I just don’t know where he will land in the end.

Playboy Princes by Jaymin Eve & Tate James a five-star read worth dropping everything for. This is number two in the Royals of Arbon Academy series and I demand to know when number three will arrive as I need it now!! Be warned this is an emotional rollercoaster of a read, so much more than the first and I imagine if they continue in the same vein not as much as the third, its like they are building and growing on each story in a way that just makes it such a powerful read. We get to meet more background characters this time and they make the story stronger as they show us more detail. I don’t know what to say without giving a jaw dropper away as we have secrets and surprises galore in this one and I don’t want to spoil the amazing words that Jaymin and Tate have given us. Now all I have to say is where is number three!! I need it now!!!
The Playboy Princes were perfection! 5 stars
The action started right at the beginning of this book, and I loved it! You must read The Princess Ballot first. Violet’s heart was broken because of Alex’s betrayal (you’ll have to read to find out what kind), but she was still fierce. She knows she has to the play the game to keep herself alive, but she finally has friends willing to help her and distract her which was new for her. My heart hurt for her when she reveals some of her past, but it has made her stronger which I admired. She needs to be strong to beat Alex at his game, and I couldn’t read fast enough to see how this would all play out. The rest played out with twists, turns, desires and emotions that made me want the third and final book now! Violet, her playboy princes, and their world were storytelling and reading perfection, and I highly recommend this series!

When the first book came out I struggled describing to my friends what makes this series so awesome and addictive. But after reading the second book I know it. This is the better version of the Selection. All those times the Selection came close to a little more political background and intrige and a little more depth it rushed away from it. And that Game of Thrones ending that came out of nowhere in the Selection is happening much earlier here and is much better built up.
Playboy princes is the perfect mix of a lot of different things. It’s a great Dystopia that never gets too depressive, even though the not so great sides of this society are mentioned and shown. It’s a lovely Royal story, with the castles and the balls and the gossip and of course with all the arranged marriages and forbidden loves. And it’s a really tasty romance, with handsome princes, backstabbing princes, betrayal and love.
What I really loved about this book is that it continued where the previous one stopped and that it threw us once more straight into the action. No endless summaries or reminders on what happened, just right back into the story. And the story of this installment was really amazing. Yes, there was a lot of relationship building and bonding, but there was also a lot of plot. We got so much new information without info dumps, we see a little more of the world and society and so many dark plots are revealed. I really can’t wait to read more.
And then we have the characters. I have to admit, and I feel a little stupid for it, that in a way I also feel a little for Alex. For some reason I have in my head that he’s under immense pressure and absolutely stressing out right now. Of course, no excuse for what did, but I hope there’s more to him that what we’ve seen so far. I also love how different Jordan and Rafe are. And yet, they both are charming and interesting. And even though I didn’t fall head over heals in love with them yet, I am excited to see who Violet will end up with!
Is the next book out yet? I NEED IT!
I am on a wicked academy kick and the sone? SIZZLES. I loved the characters and loved the plot even more. This book took some wicked turns and I was absolutely here for it.
This duo is epic together. I love the characters and I love that you fall for the entire crew of this book as much as you fall for our main protagonists. I swear this book took some turns I didn’t see coming. By the time I got to the end of the book I was on fire and DYING for the next read.
This book takes sexy to an entire new level. I love how strong the main characters are in their own way. You see them take the hits, but they dish out even more than they take. I loved that they all banded together and that you got to see them really reveal some of they secrets along the way. I hope they all get books because I am officially obsessed.
Great second book. Can’t wait for the next one!
