From the New York Times bestselling authors of Stuck-Up Suit and Cocky Bastard, comes a sexy new standalone novel. Money or love? Which would you choose? You probably just answered the question in your head thinking it’s an easy decision. For me, it’s not. Did I mention it’s a lot of money? A hell of a lot. I needed to go far away to think it through. As I embarked on an impulsive trip, I hit a … a detour when I met sexy Carter in the airport lounge. We struck up a heated conversation. Then, he left. I thought I d never see him again. But fate had other plans. Surprise He was the pilot of my flight. But the bigger surprise was the adventure that followed after the plane landed. Even though our connection was magnetic, I knew it was only temporary. He would give me tickets, and I would follow him around the world to exotic places. I was addicted. Nothing else mattered anymore. And I was going to get hurt. Because a part of me wanted to be the one to finally ground the playboy pilot. At the very least, he was taking me on a thrilling ride. All good things must come to an end, right? Except our ending was one I didn’t see coming.”

I absolutely loved Playboy Pilot by Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland! Carter and Kendall had such great chemistry from the get-go! I loved their banter and easy flirting! This book was steamy, sweet, funny, and even pulled a few tears from me at the end. Definitely recommend this one to anyone looking for a fun yet surprisingly emotional read! Five LUCY IN THE SKY WITH DIAMONDS stars!
Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland have collaborated once again on an engaging adult contemporary romance. Playboy Pilot was heavy on the fun banter and slow-but-sure sexy moments while incorporating a surprising amount of emotion that kept me invested. I enjoyed the addition of delicate elements such as caring for the aging, coping with mental illness/suicide, cultural sensitivities, giving back, and taking risks…even if that means making the unpopular choice. The relationship stress/climax was completely unnecessary though – so unnecessary that it caused me to feel all of the dramatics leading up to the resolution were a waste of time and book space. Regardless, I liked Playboy Pilot overall and I would recommend it to readers who enjoy either of these authors. The two of them really do write well together. Playboy Pilot will take you all around the globe physically and emotionally, and will give you new meaning for the term “friendly skies”. Check it out!
My favorite quote:
“If you want to change the world or make a difference, you don’t have to travel very far. Just look in your own backyard for the people who need you.”
I loved reading Playboy Pilot. I honestly cannot find anything in the story that I can fault. I loved the characters, the storyline and I loved that I didn’t want to put my kindle down!
I need to hang around airports and find myself my very own Carter. I absolutely loved everything about this man…. Okay maybe not his reputation but sadly you cannot erase the past. I love Kendall too and I felt that they would make the perfect couple, if only they could work through the issues standing in their way. I love Carter’s sense of humour and the interactions between Carter and Kendall were perfect throughout the story too.
I highly recommend for you to read this book.
This book was everything. Why haven’t I read this sooner. Carter is a sexy pilot that will make you swoon. When Carter meets Kendall there chemistry is instant and off the charts. Every minute that Carter and Kendall are together, you can feel what they are both feeling. I love Carter and his Beatles tunes. Carter and Kendall are a couple that I will never forget.

“How was your flight, Perky? Did you enjoy the ride I gave you?”
This has been my favourite read by these co-authors so far. I cried, laughed and enjoyed the trip, pun intended. The storyline flowed effortlessly and had me captivated from beginning to the last page. Both of the main characters had flaws and baggage, but somehow found their way to each other, whilst working through their lives. If you had to weigh up money or happiness, which would you choose? Maybe you need to have a different outlook on where you are headed and which choices you make and you could have both.
Kendall is a little spoilt, but she has a dilemma and needs to go away to think things through. Sitting in an airport bar she meets Carte, he’s funny, charming and helps her choose a destination. They embark on a journey together that has them sightseeing and opening up about their lives. As soon as they are anywhere near an airport Carter’s conquests keep ruining their moment.
Carter is an international pilot and he has no shortage of airline hostesses at his whim. He’s been jumping from girl to girl and has no desire to slow down yet. At least that’s what he thought, until he met Kendall and he didn’t want their time to be over. He’d forgotten how much he liked a challenge, even if his balls were blue. Coming to the realisation that he’s more than ready to make a commitment to Kendall, now he just needs to get her aboard.
A chance meeting in the airport lounge could change their lives forever. Kendell has to decide which is more important her families money or the chance at true love. Carter is the playboy pilot who has a string of flight attendants in his past a mile long. One great adventure jetting around the world, one surprise that could destroy any chance they have.
I loved Carter and Kendell! They are fun and adventurous. Can’t imagine taking off to fly around the world with no plan in mind. Playboy Pilot is sweet, sexy and a bit heartbreaking. Vi and Penelope know how to give you all the feels. Love this series.
From the beginning to the end! The soundtrack of this book was from The Beloved Beatles!
Kendall & Carter’s story has a lot of highs and lows but it was a nice little Journey.
What a beautiful story! It was fun, sweet and sexy. Absolutely love it!
Another great story in this series. Wouldn’t it be fun to fly away with the one you love? Carter and Kendall had me feeling all their highs and lows.
I was looking for something to read and remembered I haven’t read this one yet and I loved it. I have come to love this duo of authors. When you put Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward together you get an explosion, of words, laughter and of love. And this story does not disappoint in any way.
Kendall is trying to run away from her problem but when she runs into the sexy man in the lounge at the airport, she might have run into more trouble, literally. He is sexy as hell and has a dimple on his chin that will make any woman swoon.
Carter can’t believe the woman he has bumped into at the lounge. She is so sexy and maybe he can convince her to get on his play, he is a pilot after all. But he doesn’t tell her that. It will be a surprise.
What Kendall and Carter spend a fun-filled five days together, they find that their feeling is growing stronger by the minute and neither one wants to say goodbye when the time comes. But Kendall has to go home and figure out what she is going to do and Carter has to fly to another country.
Can being away from each other make the feelings stronger and bring them back together? Will Carter’s past come back to haunt him and ruin what he might have with Kendall? Will Kendall make the right decision after all?
I loved everything about this story, I was laughing one minute and crying the next. It is a fast-paced jet across the world for two people who are made for each other. And all the while I was reading, I was hoping things would work out for them. So if you haven’t read this one yet, you should and I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.
The duo behind Playboy Pilot is one I’ve enjoyed in the past, so I was looking forward to seeing what they came up with here.
Carter and Kendall are characters that each have unique backgrounds and stories. I have to confess to liking Carter a little bit more – I found him to be the more relatable of the two for the majority of the story.
The set up and meet cute for Playboy Pilot is one I haven’t seen before and it was fun to see their adventures unfold as they got to know each other better.
I appreciate seeing the emotional growth Carter showed as he dealt with his past and tried to find where his future would lead. I would have liked to have seen a little more of that from Kendall.
I am looking forward to seeing the works that will be coming soon in the Playboy Pilot world as well as what this author duo comes up with next.

I will try my absolute best to keep spoilers to a minimum or completely out of my review. Sometimes it can be hard to do so.
Another fantastic love story. Kendall is at a point in her life were she must decide money or happiness. Carter is a player and is piloting a plane as often as he can. Their lives cross and everything changes. Kendall is the one to walk away and hurt Carter. Their lives cross again a year later. Can Carter forgive Kendall for hurting him so deeply.

I had read a book by Vi Keeland before and liked it a lot, but I’ve never read one co-written with Penelope Ward, who is another author I was looking for to read sooner or later. Well, it was about time, since despite being an usual contemporary romance story, it was entertaining to listen to and it kept me wondering what would happen to the two main protagonists.
The reason why it was a page turner is because the characters are always in motion after their first encounter. The story starts with Kendall Sparks, our main female protagonist, trying to decide which flight to take. We don’t know why she wants to take a flight as her reasons are explained much later. Her dilemma is interrupted by a fascinating man named Carter. He ends up suggesting a destination to her and to his surprise, she ends up on his flight. Yes, because he is a sexy pilot and as Kendall fast learns, he’s also a playboy. But she ends up following him anyway, and the two embark in a short journey across the world.
I liked the premise of this book because like I said above, the characters were always in motion because they actually traveled a lot. Their time together was short but intensely lived, and they ended up falling for each other. But Kendall had to make a decision. She needed to understand what to do with her life. Ultimately, although she decides what to do, life decides for her and everything changes.
I actually liked Kendall as a character. She grew up in a rich family and lived a lavish life, but she was not a snob and ends up realizing that money aren’t everything, that sometimes in life you just need somebody who loves you by your side to help you go on with life. Yes, of course you can’t live with love only, but I don’t want to add more because it would spoil some of the plot.
Carter, despite being a playboy who basically had one night stands with most of the female crew of his airline, was a serious man with a soft heart who cared about other people a lot. He used sex to escape a relationship and not suffer again. That was why he also was a pilot, he liked to run away from his life and not think about being with the same person or the same place for more than a couple of days. When he meets Kendall, it’s like she makes him realize that he can’t keep on doing that and she helps him settle down and face his demons.
If you like a lighthearted romance with well crafted characters and a plot that will make you turn your page to find out what happens to Kendall and Carter, then read this book.
I loved Carter and Kendall from their first meet-cute to all the jet setting locations they traveled to on their journey together. Another sweet story from the Keeland/Ward writing duo with a great underlying message about the journey of life and love.
Entertaining insta-love story. Carter and Kendall have a chance meeting in an airport. They have funny banter, and a lot of fun traveling to exotic locations together. I really liked the exotic settings. Looking forward to the next book in the series.
This book is awesome! Kendall and Carter are so well written – complicated, complex, flawed and completely wonderful characters. The surrounding cast of characters add depth to the story (some more so than others) which is something that just makes everything that much better. A great story with excellent dialog, this one has lots of heat and humor and enough regret to make the reader want both the main characters to find their HEA … no matter how long or how painful that path is. I can usually count on both these authors to deliver books I fall in love with … this one doesn’t disappoint. Highly recommend.

You know what I love about this Cocky Bastard Series by Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland? Besides being written by my two all time favorite authors, they give us fun, entertaining and original stories.
Each of these books are complete standalone novels and each one of them are new and refreshing storylines. You don’t feel like you are reading the same old story just with new characters. The only thing these books have in common is that they are based off random meetings between strangers.
Penelope and Vi always give us characters and storylines that the reader just gets sucked into. Playboy Pilot was no different. Once I started this book, I couldn’t put it down. I was even sad when it came to the end. As always their writing styles mesh perfectly and the pace of this story is perfect. They had me laughing out loud, blushing a lot and even made me a little heartbroken, but I love it when a book and author can do that to their readers. I will say that there was one part of the storyline that I did find pretty predictable and kind of wished it was left out, but it didn’t take away from my full enjoyment of this story.
As I’ve said before Penelope and Vi always give us such wonderful main characters, and Carter and Kendall were no exception. I loved them to pieces!!! Carter is your typical playboy bachelor who happens to be a pilot, and he was so lovable. Once his layers were peeled back you can’t help falling for him. He made me laugh so many times. He also had me blushing with his dirty mouth 😉 I also really liked Kendall, even though at one point I wanted to smack her for her poor decision making. But overall she was just a girl trying to find herself and what she wanted out of life. I thought her and Carter were perfectly matched. Both just trying to find their place in life.
As I said before….Playboy Pilot is a complete standalone novel and no other book needs to be read before reading this one. There are no interconnected characters like we see in other series standalones, but we do get a very small cameo of one of the other Cocky Bastards….I’m not saying which one…..you’ll have to read the book to find out 🙂
I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves a fun, flirty and entertaining read that takes the readers on a far away adventure!! So put your seatbelt on and let Captain Carter take you on the flight of your life 😉
A sweet, intoxicating, but also frustrating journey to go on with Carter and Kendal. I enjoyed this story.
A little turbulence for these two on their journey
I loved this one. From the meet cute between Carter & Kendall to their steamy chemistry to their adventures together in Rio, Dubai, Amsterdam, and Florida and their connection. The journey is far from smooth. After all, Carter has not been a saint and it appears he’s been close to most of his female co-workers. His adorable relationship with his neighbors and the encounter with our favorite biker & his goat/dog. I loved this. Even if they hit a bump or two.
