Falling For the Playboy
Evan Ashford is a wealthy playboy who doesn’t believe in relationships. Mallory Wray is a college student from Colorado who is visiting her friend, Sunny, for a summer in Oahu. When Evan and Mallory meet, the air sizzles and they enjoy a wonderful evening of getting to know one another. Just one night isn’t enough for either of them, however, and their summer of love begins. Life is easy and fun as he shows her the sights of the island and plans exciting things for them to do. Evan is happy, but knows that they don’t have a real future together. Before now, he’s never so much as had a girlfriend, let alone been in a relationship. She’s trying to understand the closed-off side of Evan’s personality but she has faith that he will open up soon. It really is a summer in paradise until his mother does everything she can to split them up. Mallory is unacceptable for her son and she doesn’t waste an opportunity to tell her to get out of his life. She’s not wanted. Evan finally knows what he has to do to make his mother understand how important she is. When it’s time for the summer to come to an end, Evan and Mallory are going to do everything in their power to have a successful long-distance relationship.
Redeeming the Playboy
Evan gives in to the pressure from his parents and, for a few months, moves to New York to help keep their family business running and keep his dad on The Board. He misses her so much that he buys her a laptop to be able to see each other when there’s time. Mallory is all set to start the school year in Colorado, but longs for the way things were. Both of them are tested, but annoyed when there are incidents of other men and women they come across in their daily life. As much as they trust one another, the truth is they’re too far apart. Evan’s mother surprises her by inviting her to come to New York. What is she up to and is this another set-up like the last party?
Loving the Playboy
Happily, Mallory’s trip to New York at the invitation of Evan’s mother turns out to be a true apology from her. It took her a long time to see that she had no control over who Evan liked or married. The trip to New York seals their love and shows them that they belong together forever. When Evan proposes, Mallory says NO, but she was taken by surprise. Their journey from here is so much so much fun to follow. Life is perfect until it’s devastating. My heart stopped with just a few words from the page. You realize that it was something that will affect their lives forever. The ending is absolutely perfect and there is a forever future for them all. The epilogue makes everything in the world all right again. Fantastic! I also listened to this on Audible. Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott did a superb job with all of the voices and definitely brought it to life!
This series had me spellbound! I loved that we got so much of their story. I loved that we got to see their relationship go thru so many trials, but they were always came together. I loved the extended epilogue! Those are my favorite scenes into the future of their lives! This entire series was romantic and angsty. It was truly a great series!
Another series to love!

– Falling for the playboy
I love this author’s work! She is passionate and her characters are always full of so many feelings and complexity.
And we can always expect a broken, cocky hero with a heart of gold and a sassy heroine fighting her battles and trying to carry her baggage.
Evan and Mallory had so much chemistry and their feelings were all over the place. They were intense and their felt so much and so deeply, that their closeness and feelings for each other left them confused and so scared, because they were way stronger thatn they could have expected.
Evan is a playboy, but there are so much more inside him that he doesn’t let out, and little by little we get to know him better and understand his moves and fears and personality.
Mallory is already trying to heal from a recent burn, so a cocky player is the last thing she needs. But she doesn’t expect to meet Evan and she expected even less to know the real him. So even though he hurts her (even if not intending to), she can deny the pull he has over her.
Actually, neither one of them can deny it and, as time goes by, they don’t want to deny. They start to realize that their feelings are not something that you can overlook or simply ignore.
They are not just jumping and having fun, they are definitely falling. And they are trying to find out, together, if they can handle the landing.
– Redeeming the playboy
Evan and Mallory are totally in love with other. And as they fight some demons from the past, they discover they have new ones coming their way.
But the great thing is that they are fighting together now. They are not each other’s saviour, but they are definitely each other’s partner in their battles.
They are extremely passionate and even though that is amazing for the security they need considering their pasts, it also can bring some heated discussions.
The pretty thing, though, is that they are willing to be a better a more mature person and make them work. They were willing to work their own issues in order to build a solid relationship, not only based on chemistry anymore. They wanted it to be based on their trust and love.
They are not living just for the present now, as they were in the first book. Now they are considering their future together and trying to make amends, right the wrongs and stablish their balance.
It’s interesting, because it was a book where Evan was finding redemption for so many of his actions and for things that wasn’t even his fault, but he needed that closure more than he thought he did.
And it was also a book where both of them grew so much. They had a lot of feelings going on, but they started to learn how to use and direct those feelings for their benefit, for their own sake and for the growth of their relationship.
They wasn’t fighting against each other, they were fighting for each other and the beautiful future they could see ahead of them, even if so many things were yet to be solved.
It was definitely the redemption of the playboy, but more than that, it was the start of their maturity.
– Loving the playboy
Since the very beginning of the series, we could see the great chemistry they both had. They were even so many times volatile.
But as they spent more time together, specially in the second book, they really grew and started to embrace responsabilities and act like grown ups.
It was interesting to see them get more and more mature.
And now it was like they were really being adults. And not only from age, but for their actions. They faced their obstacles, they took risks, they stood up for themselves and for each other.
They faced whatever was necessary to be together.
They weren’t teenagers in a crush.
They were adults in love, with all the struggles that life often throws.
In this book, they finally started to find a common ground between them and together, they begin to build their lives and their futures.
And they didn’t spare their feelings. All their love, lust, care, worries and fears, all their banter and chemistry, all of that and so much more were fundamental to build their relationship and make it grow.
I spent this week with them, and it was so beautiful watching them page by page, book by book, how willing they were to make them work.
They would stop at nothing and no one.
It was time to love the playboy. It was time for the playboy to love.
And love they did!
