Sleeping with your bandmate is wrong, right? But what if it feels really good…I’m a keyboardist on probation with the mega huge band Brooklyn Dawn.No fights. No drama. No problem.Until Cooper, our drummer, steps in when my dangerous ex approaches me for the first time in years.Cooper defending me—protecting me like no one ever has—rattles me. Turns me on. Makes me long for something I’d vowed … has—rattles me. Turns me on. Makes me long for something I’d vowed would never be mine.
I didn’t mean to sleep with him.
Exactly.
Now we’re lying to everyone, hiding what’s happening. Hoping my ex will just disappear again, although Cooper thinks that’s the coward’s way out.
Except I’ve been hiding my past from the band, upholding my promise of no drama. Whether or not it’s my fault.
But Cooper wants to keep me safe. Wants me to be his, in every possible way.
No matter the consequences.
Author’s note: Play Mine is a standalone friends to lovers rock star romance. It ends in a happily ever after with no cliffhanger.

Quinn and Elliott not only know how to write holy hell hot romance novels, they also know how to ROCK! Brooklyn Dawn is back and this time two bandmates are involved. Teagan and Cooper have been best friends since Teagan joined the band, but they both have always wanted more. And MORE we received! Once things got started between them it went full blown fast! The Brooklyn Dawn family is awesome and I can not wait for the next book!!!!! Addicting!!!!
This book was amazing It’s a best friends to lovers Teagan and cooper are the ultimate pair. There story was amazing. Lots of twist and turns for this book. Ripper Records may yet be still into trouble. If you have read the other 2 books you will not be disappointed in this book. Great job on this book ladies. You did a fantastic job.
Love the Brooklyn Dawn series. This is for Cooper & Teagan. They have been best friends but it’s time to take it up a level. Teagan worries her poor judgment in relationships will cause her problems. Coop is all in but worries Teagan isn’t. While all this is going on some crazy is trying to hurt/kill members of their band. This is a very sexy book with lots of intrigue. I highly recommend.
Loved it! No one writes RockStar Steamy like Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott. The story was engaging, the romance was steamy hot, but had sooo many heartfelt ahhh moments – lovely. Cooper’s devotion made the story for me, and their friends-to-lovers foundation made this romance believable. It was heartening seeing Teagan find her voice, her confidence, and acceptance of not only her gift, but that she was a valued and loved member of the Brooklyn Dawn family.
Really enjoyed that the suspense/drama was dialed down a bit in this story. There was lots of romance, but also spent significant quality time with various band members behind the scenes making music just for the joy of it, in addition to performing and enjoying their found family while on the road. Loved crossover cameos by Teagan’s best friend Elle and her husband Malachi (Warning Sign/Found in Oblivion series) which were interwoven throughout the story. Can’t wait for next installment in this series.
This book had everything…mystery, suspense, danger, romance, crazy hot sex and or course music! From the minute I started reading it, I was hooked.
It starts with Teagan not being able to sleep and needing to go to the venue so she can play on the piano. She does this in the middle of the night but gets spooked. She feels that someone’s watching her so she breaks out of the place and flees the scene. Terrified she arrives at her best friend and bandmates place. He brings her inside and tries to help her but before they can get that under control, her place is set on fire. It seems that the band and Ripper Records are being targeted and this was only the beginning. While they battle these events, they can’t deny their strong feelings for each other. The romance in this story was fun to watch.
This is a great series and I can’t wait to read the next to find out who’s behind all these events and why.
This is a great read that had me pulled completely in to Teagan and Cooper’s world. There’s such an amazing connection between them. Best friends first, so comfortable with each other, their journey was so natural. Great emotions, amazing heat, the sweet, the intense, the laughs. I love all of these characters in this series and am looking forward to more.
This book grabbed my attention right from the first page. It is the third book in the Brooklyn Dawn band series, and has a great mix of romance & intrigue. The characters come alive & make you wish that they were real people you could chat with. Can’t wait to read the next book in the series!
As always Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott have captivated me. A story so profoundly beautiful I laughed and cried. A true masterpiece that begs you to be read. Play Mine is the book that everyone needs to read.
Suspense from the get go…Teagan is scared and I can feel it right along with her.
Alright, I am on board Cooper Dallas I want to know you I want to see you take care of Teagan and I want to get to know you.
Two chapters in and this book is already too difficult to put down. I am so into these two getting together just as bad as I want to know everything about the threat to Ripper Records Bands.
Taryn and Cari blow my mind with every single book they write. Brooklyn Dawn is inching its way to my love for Oblivion. There are so many intricacies that go into this book that keep me guessing right along with all the bandmates.
And OH EM GEE Teagan and Cooper are rockstars outside the stage as well. Their passion is crazy, fantastic and magical.
This book was oh so worth the wait!!!! Seriously if you love rockstars, check…..steamy passion, check…epic band and shows, check…these ladies slay with the rockstars!!!!
I absolutely loved Teagan and Cooper’s story. Teagan had a rough past with a crazy ex. She becomes best friends with Cooper. Cooper is one of the good guys, he would do anything for Teagan just to make sure she is safe. They become more than friends. Play mine is a must read.
I received a free copy of this book.
This is a really good best friends to lovers story with some drama and mystery thrown in. I love Teagan and Cooper. When Cooper goes for it, he goes all in. Teagan is not quite like that, understandable with her history. I love everything from Cooper’s POV, more so than Teagan’s. Great addition to this series.
This series just keeps getting better and better! I have loved every book and each one is just more intriguing and spellbound then the last one. This one grab me right away and didn’t let go until the end. I sure didn’t want it to end. Just loved both Cooper and Teagan, their characters just shone through. I totally recommend reading this one and really read the complete series.
Good music, good friends and epic love. With emotions running high Teagan can always count on Cooper to keep her grounded. Until undeniable feelings are going to shake things up in the best way possible! These two together were so freaking needed thank you Cari and Taryn!
Play Mine is book 3 in the Brooklyn Dawn series but could be read as a stand-alone. This is a great friends to lovers story about Teagan Daly, the keyboard player, and Cooper Dallas, the drummer from Brooklyn Dawn. When Teagan is in danger Cooper is determined to protect her. Will he be able to keep her safe? Will they find love or destroy their friendship? This was an awesome book and I can’t wait to read more from them!!
Play Mine was another good angsty rock and roll romance to add to the Brooklyn Dawn family! If you haven’t read the other two books in the series you will not be lost because each book is focused on one couple within the band but I do recommend reading the other two to really get to know the personalities of the members. Reading Teagan and Cooper’s story was like revisiting old friends because these two have been an integral part of the band as well as best friends. They didn’t want to rock the boat of their friendship but when danger enters Teagan’s life Cooper realizes that time really is fleeting and he is finally going to make his move! Play Mine has a lot of heat between these two going on so if that is not what you like to read about in a romance then this might not be the book for you because “hot and heavy” is a big part of Teagan and Cooper’s story. It was told from dual POV and rock and roll is the heart of the Brooklyn Dawn series.
This book was really enjoyable. I loved reading about Teagan finally realizing how awesome Cooper was and how much he’s cared for her this whole time. I was right there with her father and bestie when they were like, ‘Yes, he’s clearly loved you this whole time and wants you forever. (did you really not see it?)’ I enjoyed seeing them find out how they were going to make a relationship work on top of their friendship.
I did not really like Teagan so much in the beginning. She felt somewhat annoying between ‘I know how to fight’ but then leaves her house without her purse and any self-defense items and then panics when she hears weird sounds. It felt like she’d lost her brain through parts of the story and then found it the next paragraph. I didn’t like that she and the others kept trying to ditch or avoid their security detail when they know, they KNOW, that they’re under threat. They should know how serious the situation is, you don’t get bodyguards when it’s all safe. On top of that, leaving out important information that could help the security people do their jobs better felt like shooting themselves in the foot.
Overall, I liked this book in spite of it’s flaws.
Check out our latest super steamy rockstar release under our other names, now available in Kindle Unlimited. Readers are saying “it kept me on the edge of my seat” and “Cooper is my new book boyfriend!”
Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott are such a great team of writers. Their rockstar series gets better with each book! Play Mine is the third book in the Brooklyn Dawn series. We get the story of Teagan and Cooper, which is a great one. I loved Teagan since she first popped on the scene and her character continues to be a favorite in Play Mine. Cooper’s character is definitely one that compliments Teagan and together they are so, so good together. I can’t wait to read more of Brooklyn Dawn’s series and to maybe finally find out what’s going on, or who is after them. I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review
Another winner for Brooklyn Dawn!
Well, I’m just going to say it. I loved this one. I’m not going to lie, I wasn’t sure who Teagan’s love interest was going to be during the first few Brooklyn Dawn books, but I’m sure glad it turned out to be Cooper because these two are hot together.
What else did I like about these two? Definitely their verbal sparring! They were clearly so in love with each other, but that didn’t stop them from arguing and being themselves with each other. I loved this aspect of their relationship because it was so real. Love isn’t always good times and romance, but these two managed to find true happiness while the world was falling down around them.
I’m a sucker for a feisty redhead and Teagan fully delivered on that one. While she may have been one of the more shy and reserved members of the band, Teagan finally gets a chance break free from her status of “probationary” and find her own voice in the band family. She’s no pushover, even when it comes to her best friend turned lover, Cooper. As Teagan finally decides to step up and and take what’s hers, I’m glad that included Cooper as her man.
And what can you say about Cooper? He’s a nice guy that definitely doesn’t finish last. He’s honorable, respectful, a good brother and son and loving partner. But he still has a streak of bad boy Alpha that leads to some awesome sparks between him and Teagan.
This book is definitely just the treat you were looking for to tide you over until the weekend!
4.5 stars
Another great book in the Brooklyn Dawn rockstar journey. Cooper & Teagan are friends who are becoming more, at the same time as they ponder if someone is intentionally out to get the band.
