“Alison Kent holds us spellbound with deeply passionate characters, scorching sensuality and a love story hot enough to heat up the coldest of winter nights.” – RT Book Reviews“I can put anything anywhere I want to.”Electrician Sophie North felt as if she’d touched a live wire the first time she laid eyes on Tyler Barnes. He had a heartbreaking grin, an incredible body, and a thousand watts of … an incredible body, and a thousand watts of cowboy charm. Half the single women in Brodie, Texas, were out to snag him now that he’d returned to West Texas to set up his veterinary practice.
But Sophie was just passing through. And she’d sworn never to live her life at the mercy of her passionate nature—not after passion had destroyed her family when she was a child. Nevertheless, every time Tyler came near, her response was shocking which wasn’t supposed to happen. Lightning was only supposed to strike once!

It has a great beginning, happy ending. But the middle, the development of the relationship, is rushed. It would have been nice to experience that with them.
A serious story about a woman in search of a lost father. She finds instead a man who gives her a strong sense of belonging. A story well-written and worth reading.
Another beautiful story from Ms Kent that I could not put down. I absolutely love the writing style! Sweet with just the right amount if heat. I do have a few unanswered questions left regarding (no spoilers) the trip to Houston however… but have a few guesses.
It truly is amazing. A tender love story with just the right amount of heat. When Sophie and Tyler meet there is an instant attraction. She is obsessed with the search for her father. He left the family when she was five years old. The search gets in the way of her romance with Tyler. Will Sophie realize what is most important for her, finding her father or loving Tyler? I highly recommend PLAY ME by Alison Kent.
Feel good reading. Loved it.
Great story
wonderful book, hard to put down. Family is important threads throughout this delightful love story.
Enjoyed the characters just enough steam between leads. You know the ending but had to hurry to the end.
My only quibble was that his approach to life didn’t show up with his pursuit of her. Otherwise a really great read, and enjoyed catching up with characters from the last book.
One of mine was favorites! Great story with enjoyable characters and interesting twists
I absolutely loved this book. I’ve read it atleast four times now. I simply can’t stop. Absolutely intriguing.
2.5 rating. The monologue writing style is not for me. Boring at times. Recommend because I’m in the minority.
Enjoyed!
Typical romance.
It was a little slow moving. Not as steamy as Call Me, but good!
Heartwarming yet sexy novella about Sophie, a loner electrician, and Tyler, the town’s vet. She’s a little broken yet strong, and he’s a little lonely yet ready to share some healing. Along with her sweet dog, these two make for a wonderful heart-melting romance.
This is the first novel I’ve read by this author, but it won’t be the last.
Sweet easy read. Well written and enjoyable. Alison Ken’s books are always worth reading.
Loved it
Sophie worked as an electrician and enjoyed it. She traveled with her construction crew and right now they are building a vet clinic. Taylor was come home to start his vet clinic after college and his brother built him a home in the ranch. Sophie & her dog cowboy were a surprise connection. She was hard headed and he was stubborn.
Good story line that develops the characters.
A standalone read with a HEA. Some steamy scenes. Tyler has returned to the ranch to build his animal hospital and start his practice as the local vet. He is one sexy cowboy vet. He is witty, charming and quite the ladies man. He has been having a good time with the ladies but he is now ready to settle down and start a family. He is ready to get on with the rest of his life. Only thing holding him back is that he has not found a lady he wants to be his forever love.
Sophie is the electrician on the construction crew building the new hospital. She has a bit of baggage from her childhood and she has no interest in a relationship. Tyler decides she is the one he wants and he sets out to win her. This is a good love story. It has a little bit of drama as these two work out all the kinks before they can get a HEA. It is an entertaining read and I definitely recommend it.
I was not paid for this review. I am not a writer nor do I know one. I am not kin to this author. I am a reader and this is my opinion, nothing more, nothing less. 8/7/18
