This is the penultimate book of the series and things are really on fire at this point. Nate’s on the seriously on the hunt, Suede wants to help her friend, there’s more deaths and missing girls, and the tide turns when certain events start to hit close to home for Nate. Well-written and enthralling, kept me on the edge of my seat and I can’t wait for the last book to see how everything will turn out.
Cruel and unusual punishment to wait
Suede, our resident criminology student, cannot believe the turn the case has taken and is still reeling from everything they have found out so far. As the story progresses a new partner comes in, evidence paints an ugly picture, and being forced to face the truth is an ugly pill she does not want to swallow. W.L. Knightly’s Planting the Clues continues to twist the reader into knots with the Capsule Killer series. Forcing me to wait for the conclusion to put all the pieces together seems like cruel and unusual punishment.
I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.
This series continues to keep me at the edge of my seat with each book. Suede is still trying to find out who killed all those women. And although Nate arrested the person who seems to be responsible, it looks like there is more to it.
I’m in love with mystery and suspense and figuring out all the clues. I can’t wait for the final book to see if my theory is correct!
I received a copy of this book from author and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
The fifth book in the series and it kept me enthralled till the end. I love this series and the characters. Very well written.
We continue to be drawn into the mystery of who really killed all those women.
As Nate and his new partner Toni move to arrest the person they believe is the murderer, Suede still has a little doubt.
Suede inherits tens from a friends sudden death, discovers who are father is, fights with Nate and tries to understand if who they think murdered the women really did.
Clues are dropped and suspects decided but I think I know who it really is.
I must say the only thing that really frustrates me about this book, besides not knowing who dunit, is Nate and Suede. These two are just annoying together.
I was given this book for an honest voluntary review
Book 5 of the series and Oh My God, I’m dying of suspense here. Riley’s in prison now, Suede is off the case and things aren’t adding up. Who is the real killer?? This series has been absolutely fantastic with each book keeping you at the end get of your seat. The characters within are written very well and the books keep getting better and better. Looking forward for book 6…
This is a great series. This is the 5th chapter in this continuing series. Suede is serving an internship with FBI agent Nate. Nate gets a new partner because he is letting his relationship with Suede affect his investigation. More bodies discovered and they feel they have the correct killer in custody. This series makes you want to keep reading. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.
Maybe I was getting a little too comfortable with the previous books, because the author has decided to shake things up. Have you been keeping track of all the facts, the evidence is building up against Riley. Nate’s new partner is due to arrive anytime, Suede is nervous that she’ll be pushed to the side. There is no love lost between Nate and Riley. Is Nate being guided by jealousy, or is his mind clouded with lust, maybe he’s been backed into a corner with the weight of evidence on his shoulders. An arrest is imminent but Suede stays stoic that Riley is innocent. Evidence can be very damning but a slick tongue can make you see things from another perspective. Raking through the evidence with a fine tooth comb and looking at it from all angles, because it’s doesn’t always lead to the obvious. Is book 6 released yet?
Suede and Nate are still trying to find out who the serial killer is. Their relationship is put through the test with his new partner showing up and other things happening. Suede decides to have Graham do a DNA test to find out if the sheriff is her father. New evidence is revealed and two bodies are found. This is the fifth book in The Capsule Killer series and does end in a dramatic cliffhanger. I am on pins and needles waiting for the next book in this series. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader of this book.
The story is compelling, and once I started, I couldn’t put it down. But, my highly suspicious nature meant that a lot of the big revelations in this book weren’t that much of a surprise to me. Trust nothing and no one, and everything’s suspect until proven otherwise. There’s a part of me that’s screaming blue murder that it’s taken five books for one of the characters to finally see what I was looking at in the first one. And now that just about every man in Suede’s life has managed to behave like a jerk to her, I’m almost hoping that in the final book she’s going to ride happily off into the sunset with none of them.
I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the authors.
Revelations and still deadly suite for the characters
Spoiler book 4
It’s a very good continuation, a little long to begin, besides I love the character of Riley and I was annoyed by the obsession of certain characters to incarcerate him. The end is quite surprising, but definitely justifies the title of this part before a new cliffhanger.
The person who tried to kill David also attacked Suede by causing a car accident, but she is shocked when she finds out that this car is on Brody and Riley’s farm. To this is added the disappearance of the prostitutes engaged by the notables, and the absences in the behavior of Riley. For Suede, everything she thought she knew about Riley was questioned. As for her relationship with Nate, it remains complicated and unclear. In the same way, Suede asks the question of who is her father and the implication of this paternity if it is indeed the sheriff.
