Planet Urth (Book 1) The world has changed. It’s dangerous, deadly. Inhuman creatures rule the planet. Animals have mutated. The land is hostile. But it’s all I’ve ever known. Hunger. Fear. Panic. Those emotions are my reality. They are my every day. I am Avery, and I am seventeen. My father died a year ago. Since then I’ve been responsible for my eight-year-old sister, June. I worry we are the … we are the only humans left.
Humans have been hunted for centuries, to the brink of extinction. I must fight each day to protect my sister. It is the reason I wake, the reason I breathe. But how long can I go on fighting? How long will it be before they find us?
More than two hundred years into the future, human beings are an endangered species. The planet has been battered by war, its inhabitants plagued by disease and death. Few humans survived and remained unaffected. Most changed dramatically and evolved into something else entirely. Irrevocable alterations caused by chemical warfare have created a new species. North America is in ruins and has been overtaken. Humanity has fallen at the hands of mutants known as Urthmen.
Seventeen year-old Avery is alive and unchanged. But she has not been immune to the harshness of the new world. She has lived on the run for much of her life, in terror.
After losing her father, Avery is the sole guardian of her eight-year-old sister, June. Avery is now charged with June’s safety as well as her own, a nearly impossible task.
Forced to hide deep in the forest and away from the cities overrun by Urthmen, Avery and her sister are constantly hunted. Danger awaits them at every turn. They fear they are the only human beings left, that they are the last of their kind.
But are they truly alone?
Planet Urth: The Savage Lands (Book 2)
After fleeing the only refuge she’s known for much of her life, Avery, along with her sister June and new friends, Will, Oliver and Riley forge through the forest to uncharted territory in search of a better life, in search of other survivors. But Avery soon learns that life beyond the woods is far worse than she ever imagined. She finds that safety does not exist for human beings in a world run by Urthmen.
Hope seems futile.
But Avery refuses to surrender hope and chooses, instead, to push forward and move her group into the heart of danger, to seek out more humans.
Will she and the others survive their journey into the savage lands of Planet Urth?
Planet Urth: The Underground City (Book 3)
We can’t stay out here in the open any longer. We killed the king’s son. It’s only a matter of time before his people find us, before they slaughter us all. We need to leave now. We need to make it to the underground city.
Avery, June and their friends are being hunted. They need to find fuel so that they can travel across the country to the underground city, to a place where humans live safely, free from the terrors above ground. But once they make it there, will it be the idyllic paradise they imagine it to be or will it be worse than the current nightmare in which they live?

This series and all of the ‘Planet Urth’ books were so good, I purchased everything the authors published. I went to bed each night worrying about what I would do if something like this happened. It is that believable. I love everything this husband and wife team write. Their books keep your glued to your seat. You just can’t put them down.
Sometimes you just want a book that entertains without unnecessary complexity. I enjoyed this 3-book set. It represents interesting new twists on the typical “expected” plot and characterization. Recommend this as excellent entertainment.
been a little while but still remember the adventure of this book
I really enjoyed the entire series. The writing was thoroughly engaging, except for grammatical errors (please learn about objective case!) missed words, and writing errors like: “Jumping slightly, Sully’s voice . . .” which seems to imply that Sully’s voice was doing the jumping. There were several such phrases that drove me to the edge, but it was the consistent use of “I” in the objective case that pushed me over it. Ex: “An almost identical tree saved June and I . . .” You would never say, “The tree saved I.” Just because you’ve added another person doesn’t change the case: The tree saved June. The tree saved me. The tree saved June and ME. The third book, in particular, desperately needs the services of a good proof reader.
The characters draw you into their world making you want to know more. There are a few grammar mistakes, maybe others, but I didn’t care. I wanted to find out if they survived.
I thought these are great stories. Well written
I was thrilled to see some characters I hadn’t seen in quite awhile. Plus, they’ve added new characters to keep the whole story going. This is a marvelous world with something new and exciting happening all the time. I will always read further volumes of this story, if written.
I LOVED THIS BOOK…. WONDERFUL STORY… THE CHARACTERS WERE INTERESTING.. I WILL TELL EVERYONE ABOUT THIS BOOK AND AUTHOR.
I enjoyed reading these books. It was a nice vacation from reality.
The books built nicely on the last and was sprinkled with a little humor and a few twist of plot.
sucked me right in and I flew through all 3 in 3 days. looking forward to reading more in the series soon.
I liked Planet Urth because of the ambience of the plot and the magnificent way it was writer.
Very much enjoyed this series so i bought book #4 . i will probably buy them all.
excelent story line
A little slow in parts but very interesting
Happy to find the Author’s works… Gripping saga! I really felt like I could feel what it would be like to be in the character’s hiking boots. Great dystopian fiction that doesn’t have that “slightly a downer” lilt to it.
Waiting for the next section.
Loved them all!!!
I loved this book. I’m currently reading this for the second time in the last few days. I recommended this to my 14 year old daughter and she is part of the way through the first book already.
Read 1st 3 books of this series, seems to be at least 3 more books in this series.
