From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Thea Harrison comes the final novella featuring Pia and Dragos… Carling.
From the moment they arrive, the trip goes awry. Death walks in Vegas, and Pia is kidnapped as an ancient enemy makes a move to destroy the Great Beast once and for all.
But the Great Beast has other plans.
On Planet Dragos everything goes the way he arranges it—unless someone decides to cross him, and God help them then, because he doesn’t know how to back down, and he doesn’t ever, ever let up….

Change is coming, decisions need to be made, and Pia and Dragos have one last challenge to over come.
Planet Dragos is a fast-paced action-packed story featuring Pia and Dragos in their last adventure! I had forgotten that Pia is pregnant. We see the toll that this pregnancy is taking on her, how her hormones are making her moody, and how depression of not feeling beautiful is setting in. It showcases what many women go through during pregnancy, the mood swings, the difficult decisions, the depression that can set in, etc.. We also see that even though they are a mated couple it’s not all roses and sunshine. Their are bumps along the way.
The best part about this novella is that all the previous cast and couples make appearances and throw in their support to help Rune and Dragos out when their mates go missing. Emotions are running high throughout the novella. It was wonderful to see Rune and Dragos confront their issues, their falling out, and work together once more to save their mates. It was sweet to have this reconciliation.
As always Ms. Harrion’s doesn’t give you anytime to think. You just keep turning those pages to see how everything will turn out. Many changes are happening in the Wyr demise and those changes will affect a number of characters. We also get a guest appearance of Death one of the Primal Gods… He was fun! As for Pia and Dragos. I’m happy with their story arc’s conclusion. It doesn’t mean I won’t love to see them pop up now and then, but this arc makes room for the next generation to take over.
Another suburb novella in the Elder Races series.
**Note: You should read Pia & Dragos story arc in order.

4.5 stars–PLANET DRAGOS by Thea Harrison follows Dragos and, a very pregnant and grumpy Pia as they venture to Vegas for Rune and Carling’s wedding. Not only does Dragos have business to attend but ‘Death’s’ appearance pulls Pia onto the Vegas strip where she is no longer safe within the shelter of her mate. Kidnapped but not alone Pia will come face to face with an unknown enemy hoping to destroy all that is Dragos and the Elder Races.
PLANET DRAGOS reveals upcoming changes for the Elder Races and the New York Demesne as Thea Harrison says good-bye, for now, to our leading couple. There are new leaders and players on the horizon but time and experience will be a necessary trial. The story line brings together and revisits with a number of characters introduced throughout the series as well as those featured in the Elder Race’s novellas. A quick read with an engrossing premise PLANET DRAGOS is a dramatic, reflective and passionate story line as we say a temporary good-bye to our reigning couple.
great series!
Fun book that continued the stories of several characters in this series. I would recommend reading it in order.
This is the last novella featuring Pia and Dragos (say it isn’t so!). If you’ve followed their story you’ll want to complete the journey with this final installment. Pia is irreverent and irrepressible as usual, even facing down Death while pregnant.
Planet Dragos is action packed and pregnancy induced hormones crazy story featuring two all time favorite characters at their worst & best moments. Ms. Harrison once again nails it with a story designed to ensnare the reader right from the start and provides us with characters that are both likable and believable. The novella is very well written and highly entertaining! Though the book can be read alone, I’d highly suggest reading it in the series order in order to understand the background and characters better.
“On Planet Dragos everything goes the way he arranges it—unless you decide to cross him, and God help you then, because he doesn’t know how to back down, and he doesn’t ever, ever let up.”
In this last story from Pia and Dragos’ POV, we find out just how true that statement is. Dragos is crossed by an Elven enemy bent on carrying out a vendetta against him using Pia and their unborn child to keep him compliant. The story is filled with so much action, love, courage and sacrifice that the reader feels every emotion that these characters express. It’s as if we become part of the story. So many of the wonderful familiar inhabitants of this world appear; it is a bittersweet reunion since so many of them will move on with the Culebres as they follow their own path. I will miss them.
Thank you, Thea Harrison, for building such an extraordinary world. It’s been a great ride
Planet Dragos
Dragos and Pia are traveling to Las Vegas to celebrate the wedding of Rune and Carling. Dragos is preoccupied with business decisions and makes a off hand remark to Pia about her weight and pregnancy. This does not go over well. They have been fighting about letting the baby come early and Pia wants to keep the baby as long as she can.
Pia is pregnant, very pregnant with her second baby/wyr with Dragos. This pregnancy is not as easy or comfortable as the first. Pia has to take daily injections of hormones to prevent her body rejecting the baby prematurely. As a result, she has gained weight, depressed about the weight she has mood swings and her feet/ankles are swollen. Her once graceful body and sunny temperament are gone.
Pia is left to on her own and she discovers a Vegas show featuring a man that look strangely familiar. Azrael, the Elder race God of Death. He has been waiting for the Cuelebres to arrive. Why does he seem familiar? I am so very intrigued by this new character.
Pia is kidnapped and all hell breaks loose. She is thrown into a prison with a starved barely recognizable Carling. Pia is without her hormone shots and is going into labor. A former enemy of Dragos wants to punish him and lures him to a battlefield at Devil’s Gate. There is a huge battle with overwhelming odds against Rune and Dragos.
Who has the God of Death come for; Pia, Carling, Dragos, Stinkpot or someone else?
I loved that we saw lots of old acquaintances and some new ones. Pia and Dragos are just like any other married couple with ups and downs and misunderstandings.
I love each and every book written by Thea Harrison. I wanted this book to go on but I feel there are others that need their stories told. This may be the last book told in Pia and Dragos POV but not the last we will ever hear from them, I am sure.
Planet Dragos is a thrilling and fantastic send off to Dragos and Pia as some exciting events take place and brings about major changes to their world.
As always the characters of the Elder Races universe are strong, bold and easily draw readers in and hold them hostage until the very end. In Planet Dragos, we meet up with Dragos, Pia and friends as well as meet some new characters, one of whom is Death which adds quite a bit of excitement and chilling anticipation to the story. There is never a dull moment in this fast paced story which full of thrills and suspense which keeps readers on the edge and since most of those events are life altering continuously builds a sense of nail-biting anticipation throughout the story as well.
The Elder Races series is exciting and full of wonderful characters that constantly surprise readers and brings them lots of enjoyment and I have to say that Pia and Dragos favorites of readers everywhere including me, so I was quite thrilled with this book and I found it to be quite energetic and exhilarating from start to finish. And while I am disappointed about one of the decisions that Dragos and Pia made (sorry no spoilers), I am also looking forward to finding out what Thea Harrison has in store for us readers next.
5 FIRE-BREATHING DOWN YOUR NECK AND RIP YOU TO SHREDS STARS!!!! I ABSOFANTABULOUSLY LOVED this final book with Pia and Dragos. What a wonderful ending and a beginning of more to come with the Elder Races.I have to say it again , and again, and again that I love Ms. Harrison’s writing. Her words on paper convey to me on such a deeper level, that I always feel that I am right there in the moment, with the characters from the story. I feel an intense and deep connection. I just freaking love that about her! And moving on, in this story we have Pia and Dragos going to the wedding of mated pair Carling and Rune, in Las Vegas. As per usual for these two, trouble follows and all while Pia is not feeling her best. Lol. I loved reading about all the other mated pairs from the Elder Races making an appearance and helping Dragos and Rune with their mates. Though it is bittersweet for me as I have fallen, deeply, hopelessly and totally in love with Dragos Cuelebre, I am glad that they will continue to live on in the Other world and pray we get glimpses of them in any future books. Another job well done!
If you are a fan of Dragos and Pia, you are not going to want to miss this final installment of the supplemental novellas Thea Harrison has been giving us. Throughout the series, I have enjoyed the trials and tribulations of this couple through their pregnancies, memory loss, and the joys of parenthood. This story is a little bittersweet, but Ms. Harrison gives us a two tantalizing possibilities of where she could develop more storylines and I, for one, hope that she will pursue them in the future.
