Mistakes were made, okay? The moment I laid eyes on Kyle Kingston I knew he was a mistake. A satisfying, toe curling, hair pulling, best night of my life mistake, but a mistake all the same. I didn’t yet know his name, or who he was, but I knew he was a bad idea.I take comfort in that, because it means my instincts are still good. Too late, but it’s something.Because, FYI, I’m pregnant… and did I … I’m pregnant
… and did I mention my baby daddy is both heir to a retail empire and impossible to get ahold of?
I do what any girl would. I break into his Grandfather’s retirement gala by telling the prissy gatekeeper Kyle’s my fiancé. It was a halfway decent plan at the time, trust me.
But it blows up in my face, disastrously so. You see, Kyle Kingston is all about representing the family values his family’s retail empire was founded on. At least in public. In private- well I’ll tell you about that later.
He proposes – a marriage of convenience.
Convenient for everyone but me, because while I’m falling in love with my convenient husband, he’s keeping a billion-dollar secret. From me.

It’s no secret that Jana Aston is one of my favorite authors. Her books are fun, hilarious, and unique. Her characters are cute, quirky and a bit outrageous (in a good way), and you can’t help but love them.
Plan B is everything that I said and more. Daisy is so funny and real in so many ways. Knocked up after a one night stand, Daisy is trying to track down her baby’s daddy to inform him that he is going to be a father because it’s the polite thing to do. Except it’s not as easy as it seems. Because baby daddy is none other than Kyle Kingston, the new CEO of KING department stores, and he’s not that easy to get hold of.
What ensues is a fun and hilarious ride as these two prepare for impending parenthood while getting to know each other. Kyle, I absolutely LOVED him. He’s definitely one of my favorite Aston BBFs.
Jana Aston gives good banter!
Plan B is the sequel to Sure Thing, but don’t worry if you’ve not read it, I would because you’re missing out if you don’t but it’s not essential to Plan B. These books revolve around twin sisters Violet & Daisy Hayden. In Sure Thing, Daisy talks Violet into doing her job for a week, now in Plan B we find out why the twin swap was necessary.
Daisy is in Philadelphia, to get there she dallied in a little internet stalking, just to be polite mind you, it’s good manners you see to inform your one night stand that he knock you up. That’s how she finds herself in the middle of a retirement party, newly fake engaged to her baby daddy Kyle Kingston, CEO of a huge chain of family run department stores. Not that she’s fazed by this Daisy lives life as it comes. So the marriage of convenience/propriety which Kyle proposes, she takes in her stride, even though she’d planned to have the baby by herself.
Daisy & Kyle have chemistry in spade loads, but this is truly a tale of opposites attract. Where Daisy is seat of her pants, Kyle is responsibility (well except for the whole one night stand thing).
I swooned over Kyle so much, he is quieter than most rom com leading men, but man can he deliver good swoon. Daisy is witty & adventurous, her banter & one liners are hilarious.
Review in return for ARC, however I’m a long time fan did I’ve bought the book & will but the audio once is released.
He Was The Calm To Her Chaos! 5 Perfectly Matched Stars!
You are going to fall in love with this laugh-out-loud, surprise baby romance. This author’s talent for rom coms constantly had me both laughing and smiling.
We met Daisy in her sister’s story, Sure Thing. Daisy was a live in the moment kind of woman. She was trying to grow up and get her life in order. She was on a man cleanse, working toward ridding herself of the wrong type of guy. You know, no direction and no future. She wanted a dependable man, a planner.
One night in Boston with Kyle obliterated her man free cleanse….well all her plans, because in seven more months her whole life was about to change.
Now she just needed to track down her elusive one night stand and let him know about their little “accident”. Get ready for searing chemistry and a whole lot of hilarious moments.
The writing was incredidibly witty and well done. Kyle was quiet, yet intriguing. He took everything in stride and he balanced Daisy perfectly. Daisy was a tornado of crazy and I adored her. Her mind was hilarious and you can’t help but shake your head at the things she would say. The attraction they shared was off the charts HOT! I loved everything about this fun romantic comedy. The author continues to deliver wonderful characters that make me fall in love and a story that leaves me with a happy heart.
Daisy knows Kyle is a mistake from the first moment she sees him. And her instinct comes true when, after one night of passion, she gets pregnant! What’s a girl to do but crash his grandfather’s retirement party and announce that she’s his fiance! But when Kyle agrees to go along with this charade and proposes marriage, Daisy is swept off her feet. A hilarious roller coaster affair begins but will Kyle’s secrets jeopardize their happiness? A witty and fun read with amazing characters! I couldn’t stop laughing while reading Plan B!
I am so in love with Daisy!! I mean I adored Violet…honestly, I have loved every single heroine from Jana, but Daisy, I love, love, love her!! And Kyle! Despite the fact that I have never known a Kyle that I really liked vs just tolerating, I FLOVED Kyle! He’s dreamy! Jana gives such good book boyfriend!! This story was funny, witty, sweet, tender, steamy, hot, dripping in passion…and love! I devoured this book in 24 hours. It would have been less but my body forced me to sleep (or as it happened, I fell asleep holding my Kindle and woke up holding it, yay for iRings). In Violet’s story I wasn’t sure I’d like Daisy, but now? I am so in love!! She’s sassy, strong, independent, so not whiny, selfish, or bratty, hilarious, and so, so sweet!! And can we talk about the fat orange tabby!! Makes me miss my George. Tubbs is just absolutely fantastic. Everyone should have their own tubby orange tabby, because they seriously rock!! Of course we got to see Violet and her British love, but I did not see Luke coming. I should have, I mean we have a pregnant heroine, but seeing Dr McHot again, BONUS!! And Kyle, hot, smart, surprisingly sweet, thoughtful…when he isn’t fudging things up…and did I say HOT! This was a fantabulous read!! I give it all the stars to the infinite power!! Soooo good!! Fantastic read!! I received a review copy. I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Jana Aston is one of the best romantic-comedy authors I have ever read. Her stories are never over the top silly and her characters always evolve thru their journey, are relatable to everyday life and likable/lovable. Kyle and Daisy hit it out of the park for me. I was smiling from ear to ear from the very beginning and their story captured my heart at “…one look at Kyle and I knew my four-month dick hiatus was shot to hell.”
That’s when I knew this story was going to be shenanigan filled pages that would capture my heart and never let go. And I was right!
There’s an ease to Jana’s style and voice that make her stories so damn amusing and lighthearted, even when they deal with not so light circumstances! I’m not giving anything away when I say that Daisy finding herself single and pregnant from a one-night stand is not a light circumstance. But Jana found a way to weave her word magic and make it so! *happy sigh*
Everything about this story was gold for me. It was fun and entertaining, and she managed to surprise me with a twist at the end which is what catapulted this story to golden fucking diamonds !! I cannot wait for a few months to pass so I can reread this story because even tho you think you’re paying attention, there’s always an anecdote here and there that you miss the first time around because that’s the foundation to Jana’s rom-com greatness! It’s everywhere in her stories and it is glorious!
I loved this! A surprise pregnancy followed by stalking to find your one night stand! This book has all my favorite things and made me laugh out loud!
Kyle and Daisy had a one night stand in Boston, went their separate ways, and Daisy discovered she had a bun in the oven. Her intent was to let Kyle know as a courtesy, but she didn’t plan to get help from him.
Kyle was such a gentleman and honor was I important to him so taking care of his baby was, too. The two were opposites in many ways. Kyle very low key, on the serious side, and a planner. Daisy was sassy, open and cared about everyone else’s welfare.
As a couple they were hot. Daisy was so funny and Kyle played the straight man so well. I really enjoyed the book especially knowing how things turned out with their baby and with Violet (her twin sister) and Jennings.

(Dual POVs)
Daisy is approximately 10 weeks pregnant from a one night stand. All she wants to do is tell the man about the pregnancy so he is aware, and if one day the child has questions, she can give their child some answers. She sneaks into a gala, forced to lie and say she is Kyle’s fiancée in order to get in. After the initial shock of the pregnancy wears off, Kyle proposes to continue with the engagement. Daisy is on the fence about the idea but agrees to move in with Kyle and go through with it.
Kyle is every girl’s dream He’s mature and has his shit together. He’s hardworking, smart, thoughtful and attentive. He is honorable, barely skipping a beat when he finds out he’s going to be a father, and jumps right in to provide and take care of them. He also has a little bit of a smart mouth and he likes things a little spicy in bed! The way these two bickered was like hot, tension-filled foreplay. I did think Daisy was a teensy bit immature a few times but I did enjoy how she was a smartass right back to Kyle! I felt the conflict at the end was a little brushed under the rug. It was resolved very quickly with not much of a fight and very little groveling. Very much enjoyed the epilogue though!!

”Next time I knock you up I’ll open an Instagram account so you can find me without showing up unannounced pretending to be my fiancée.”
“Go to hell.”
“You have a real attitude problem.”
“Ditto.”
“Do you always argue with the maturity level of a child? Jesus.”
“I don’t know. Are you always a dick?” pg 51
”Relax. It’s insured. I know how that gets you off.” -Kyle pg 123
Except hearts don’t work like that. They tend to fling themselves at whoever makes their rhythm skip a beat. They don’t care about logic or consequences. Or breaking.
Hearts are eager and hopeful and naive.

Jana Aston know how to bring the sexy fun! These two are so much fun and can’t keep their hands off each other. She’s sassy and he thinks she walks on water. So. Much. Fun.
Plan B was a stereotype romcom with sexy flirt. The story of one night stand definetely perked my curiosity. Yes it was fun.. flirty and sexy perfect for a quick read. I wish that Kyle and Daisy relationships were deeper and engaging.
Another permagrin.
Making me laugh with a couple I can get invested in is Jana Aston’s superpower. Kyle and Daisy had me cackling – out loud and often – and caring whether they could get out of their way long enough to realize that what they have is so much more that a one night stand with “consequences”.
The story moves at an engaging pace and the banter alternates between fizzy and crackling. And Jana Aston makes it all look effortless. You’re not reading a novel – it’s like a friend is relating her latest ridiculous adventure as you’re sitting in Bucks with your iced coffee on a hot summer morning.
Plan B is just the latest reason that Jana Aston is a permanent resident on my very short one click list.
What do you do when you find out your one night stand resulted in a pregnancy and you don’t know how to track the father down? This is the situation that Daisy finds herself in so she stalks the internet to find out how to get a hold of Kyle Kingston, her one night stand and also the heir to a retail empire. Kyle was so hot that Daisy went off her “man diet” and guess what she gets for it. Daisy finds out that the company is having a retirement gala for Kyle’s grandfather so Daisy figures this is the only way she can get a hold of Kyle to let him know that she’s expecting. She doesn’t want anything from him but felt he needed to know about the pregnancy.
Daisy, who is a fun and outgoing person who lives in the moment, somehow gets her sister Violet to pretend to be her as a tour guide for a tour that Daisy was suppose to be leading so that Daisy can go get in touch with Kyle. Everything after is just so fun and entertain to read. Daisy pretends to be Kyle’s fiancee to try and get into the gala but Kyle’s family finds her first and by the time Kyle is “found” he has a fiancee! When the two finally talks, you can tell that their attraction to each other is off the chart and the reunion in Kyle’s bathroom is very steamy.
Of course, one thing leads to another and they end up being engaged and Kyle wants to be involved with their child. Daisy’s pregnancy hormones just drives her crazy and Kyle seems to enjoy it and wants to help in any way he can. These 2 work to get to know each other and do some crazy things but it works out for them.
I laughed so hard at some of the crazy things Daisy says and does throughout the book. And the relationship between her and Violet are great so in sync and what they say to each other is just hilarious. And then when Daisy and Kyle are learning about each other, what to expect throughout the pregnancy and the things that they do is entertaining and their romantic times are so hot!
This book was laugh out loud funny. Love Jana’s writing. Her books are a guilty pleasure of mine. The characters are funny, witty, and the sexy is HOT! Love everything she writes.
I always love Jana Aston’s books and this one is no exception. I enjoy how her heroine’s are always very quirky and the hero’s don’t know what to do with them. It makes for a very entertaining read. Great read!
I loved this book so much! Jana Aston’s books make me so happy. Her characters are always perfect. They have banter and tension and comedy and serious heat. The storyline was a good quick pace and I read it in one sitting. I will definitely be recommending this book to everyone!
Jana made me so giddy and excited about this book! I love book babies and I adore this couple! I would give Kyle all the babies he wanted if he loved me like that! He made my ovaries explode from the start! Daisy is headstrong and independent but knows how to chase her dreams and her man! I couldn’t wait for Daisy and Violet to have phone conversations just to hear the cute way they ended each call! Jana, this book is swoon-worthy, sweet, funny and downright sexy and makes me want to pick Plan B for life!
Laugh out loud funny, loved it!
I laughed from the moment I started the first page. I absolutely adored Daisy’s character and Kyle was absolutely swoon worthy.
Kyle Kingston.
Did he just hit my top Jana man list?
Because holy shit. That man. Kyle. Wow. Just….yeah.
See, I have all the words here.
I’ve been patiently waiting for Daisy’s book since the end of Sure Thing. I knew Daisy was someone I wanted to meet and I knew her story would be one I couldn’t put down.
But Jana made us wait.
And wait.
And wait.
It was totally worth it!
If I knew I’d be getting Kyle Kingston, then I would happily wait another year. Or two. He’s just so freaking amazing and perfect. AND OMG.
You need to meet him. You will love him so hard.
