“Small-town contemporary romance as its finest.” – NYT Bestselling author, Kristi Cook. For the last dozen of those years, Jayne has lived half way across the country, and even though she and Nick have stayed in contact, she hasn’t actually seen him since he kicked her out of his wife’s funeral almost four years ago.Does she still have feelings for Nick? Possibly. . .maybe. . .okay, yes, but the … . .okay, yes, but the Jayne who left town all those years ago is not the same Jayne who’s moving back. This Jayne is smarter, more experienced, and determined to build herself a better life, the kind of life she wants and deserves. She’s a grown-ass woman with a plan for crying out loud, and she’s not about to let these feelings for Nick slow her down another second.
But from the second she hits town, she knows it’s only a matter of time before this freight train of disaster derails in spectacular fashion, and when it does, she’s not only going to lose her best friend, but the only family she’s ever known.

Sweet story about best friends with a twist. Jayne has had such a tough, loveless life and deserves her happily ever after.
This was a very sweet story. I enjoyed it very much.
It was a a easy read after a hard day. I liked how Jane was not always secure in who she was and how her boyfriend didn’t like how she put herself down
I liked this book very much and read it through in one sitting. I have also read the other books in this series. Great books.
This was a very cute story with twists along the way!!! The characters are pretty well developed and you fall in love with Jayne and Nick. It’s a very easy read.
Really good!
A person named improbable wrote she didn’t understand how Nick kicked Jayne out of the funeral. You need to read the book because it was plainly explained. I loved this book.
For fans of friends to lovers, lovely writing, humor, and a story that will leave you believing in the HEA.
Long Time Coming
Jayne & Nick had been friends since kindergarten. She’s seen him get married, try to be there when she died but that didn’t go well. She hadn’t been back for 12 years and her grandmother died and left her the book store, but it needed a lot of work, and did they.
Loved this! I really enjoyed the character development in this book. Sometimes friends to lovers reads can be a rinse and repeat of every single book in this genre; however, this one did justice to the 25 years of friendship and the fear of making it more. Well done!
Somewhat unrealistic, a little boring.
