A young love. A bitter end. A crushing blow. A second chance at a first love. A college sports romance and second chance story. The past four years have been all about playing college ball, getting a draft pick for the NBA, and steering clear of relationships. I don’t want one. Everything I once had I gave to another girl. And lost it.And I hate losing. There’s no way I’m going through that again. girl.
And lost it.
And I hate losing. There’s no way I’m going through that again.
But when a lay-up during a game landed me in need of medical attention, it brought me face-to-face with Logan Shaw – my first love – the girl who took it all and left me with nothing but regrets.
Now she’s back in my life and I have to face the consequences of our past actions.
Sometimes in life you’re forced to pivot and turn back before you can move forward in a new direction.

Each book in the Sweetest Thing Series just keeps getting a little bit better, in my opinion. Throughout the first two books, Carver is definitely one of those scene-stealing characters that you just want to know more about. I really enjoyed getting to learn what made Carver the way he was, as you knew there had to be something that happened in his past that made him act the way he did. And once we are introduced to Logan, his summer-camp sweetheart…..he totally turned into a different person. He became the person you always knew he was – kind, caring, loving….I just really enjoyed seeing this side of him. Don’t get me wrong, I loved the playful, joking, dirty-talking Carver too….but I knew that wasn’t his real personality. He used that as an escape to forget about his past, in order to try and move on from Logan. I was really happy that they were able to move forward from what had happened in their past, even though their past made its way into their present.
Looking forward to more stories from this author….hoping that Lance gets his own story!
I loved this story so much! I could not put it down! I read this in one sitting because I could stop. The angsty of this whole is addicting. Two long lost loves separated by time and misunderstandings only to be brought back together by chance years later.
Everything about this read was utterly enchanting. I fell for Carver instantly even though he was a complete man whore. Sierra writes these character with flaw so human and real that the story is enchanting and addicting. Could not get enough! I can’t wait to see what comes next! Highly recommend!!

Sierra Hill has a hit with this series and boy am I loving these basketball players. We see Carver as a man who has a different woman all the time yet is stuck with the woman that got away. Now Logan have to say is one strong woman for trying to keep her heart from loving again. These two though are perfect and boy Sierra Hill doesn’t stop in teasing us with their chemistry. It is more than just sex between them in a way it is closure with the past for a happier future. Cannot wait to see more of these guys it’s like a huge family seeing how far they have come. Love it.

Originally titled Sweet Summer Love, now Pivot, is Carver’s story. Each book in the series is about a basketball player.
Carver is mentioned in the first two books of the courting love series. His character was a notorious playboy who did not believe in love and relationships. All is explained in this book. Heartbreak is the soul reason for most people to turn to a life of being a player. Carver is no exception.
A second chance romance between Carver and Logan, you love to mature love. Time and distance did nothing to their love.
Super cute and sweet. I adored Carver and Logan’s HEA!
I love second chance at love books and I’ve really enjoyed this read.
Pivot is full of feels that will warm your heart and will make you shed some tears, and some hot kinky sexy scenes that will definitely arouse your body.
Carver and Logan aren’t high school sweethearts because they only meet at a summer camp during their holidays but they are nonetheless sweet and precious.
They come from different cities and choose to live their young love only during the days they spend together at the camp but the summer before the college is the last time they see each other.
They meet after four years and even if their lives are so different,a future in the NBA for Carver and one as a dentist assistant for Logan, the chemistry between them is still the same…is this the right time for them to start a mature relationship??I hope so because I love Carver. He redeemed himself in this book making me forget what a player he was in the previous books.
I’m so ready to start the next book because I really like Sierra Hill writing and her characters.
Finally, we get the story behind Carver’s excessive man-whore ways and attitude about relationships. The backstory between him and Logan and their fate-driven reunion was really great. Two broken people who found wholeness in one another, despite how young they were, a really complicated situation and parental meddling = one giant freaking mess! Their journey back together is just as messy, but totally enjoyable in an angsty kind of way to read.
Logan is a tough chick, and Carver much easier to like than I want to admit. A great addition to this series!
Oooh, Carver. The player. The man. The one guy every girl wants. I love second chance stories and this one does not disappoint.
Second chance romance when basketball star Logan accidentally runs into the one that got away. Dual POV with some flashbacks so you get to know what they’re relationship was like previously. This book started out strong and pulled me in, but I do feel like it fizzled out a little towards the end. A good addition to Sierra Hill’s ‘The Sweetest Thing,’ series.

This was my first book by Sierra Hill, and it most definitely will not be my last. I was hooked on this story immediately, and I sped through this in one sitting.
Told with some flashbacks to their past, but mostly in the present, the story of Logan and Carver unfolds. And boy what a story. At about 26% there is a huge revelation I totally did not see coming. Once Logan and Carver talk about their past, which happens quite nicely before the first half of the book is over, the focus is on the present and what type of relationship they can have, if at all, now.
I enjoyed the fact that there was a low amount of angst in this, and the characters actually communicated well for the most part.
I liked both main characters and I was rooting for them to get their HEA. This was a little bit of an emotional rollercoaster and I was hanging on every word. My only real complaint is that there was not a real lot of closure for me as a reader in terms of Jeremy. I definitely would have liked a bit more there.
I truly loved this book thought, and I cannot wait to read more from this author in future.
Carver Edwards was a man who went through a new woman everynight. Most men wanted to be him and most woman wanted to be with him. He was hot on and off the court. The last thing he expected was to see in an emergency dentist office was the one woman was his first love. The woman who had tried to forget. Logan Shaw made one choice in her life that changed every part of her. When her past shows back up to haunt her in the form of sexy Carver Edwards, secrets will be revealed and old pain might be something that finally destroys what is left of Logan’s heart. Wow this book was so surprising and I absolutely loved Logan and Carver. Their past was so painful and how this book turned out wasn’t how I expected but I loved every word. This is a must watch author. Definitely a must read!!!
